Our vacation home contains a master (king-sized bed) boasting excellent ocean/beach views and private bathroom with a large walk-through closet/changing area. The second bedroom (queen-sized bed) boasts the identical great ocean views and doubles as a 'second' master bedroom. The third bedroom for the children consists of two sets of bunk beds (4 twin-size beds) along with a spiral staircase to a loft where 2 twin-sized beds and a pull-out twin-size trundle bed are located. There is enough sleeping accommodations for your entire vacationing families where 2 couples can have their own rooms and the children have their own beds. Outside the master bedroom/bath suite there is a full hallway bathroom and laundry room. The ground floor consists of an overly-sized living room, dining room and den-all with great views of the ocean. The kitchen is very large and well-equipped with all the necessary cooking and bake ware you'll need. There are hotel-quality towels for bathing and the beach provided. The den contains a 42 inch LCD television with Net-Flix, a surround sound and DVD player and there is a CD player equipped with an I-Pod station-so bring your DVD's and music. Wi-Fi is provided inside the villa. The third floor patio measuring close to 800 sq. ft. (partially covered) provides seating for everyone to enjoy the beautiful sunsets of Rincon. There is also a first floor patio for barbequing. Large rooms and plenty of sleeping areas along with terrific views of this ocean/beach-front villa make this property truly unique. The vacation home is located inside the 145 acre, man-gated private community of Punta del Mar Beach Village where you and your loved ones will experience rest and relaxation, quiet times and tranquility, cleanliness of our home along with peace of mind that your children are safe and close-by. The season tide pool allows for younger ones to swim without the worry of big waves crashing at the shore. There are a couple of good-quality boogie boards for your enjoyment. The villa is located along some of the best areas of beach for sea-glass collecting which the children will love to bring back home to show their friends. Much artwork and jewelry is made with sea-glass. The serpentine-shaped swimming pool is open. Use of the pool (payable at the office) is $5 per day, per person (10+ years of age) or $100 per week for everyone staying. The pool is optional; you do not have to pay if you do not use it.
Strolling along the beach towards the sunset to well-known restaurants such as Casa Islena and Tamboo for lunch or dinner are short 5-15 minute walks. Located on the northern side of Rincon, east of Sandy beach, provides the terrific surf which has made Rincon the tourist attraction it has become. The village at Punta del Mar provides the relaxation for a well-deserved vacation while still being close to the vacationing hot-spots. Like to walk/jog? How about the close to a mile-long driveway off Rt. 115.

About Tim & Margaret Gill
Maggie and I met on a Long Island beach when we were just teenagers in 1986. We both grew up in New York and raise our family there. We celebrated our Silver Anniversary in July of 2011. We have a couple of terrific children, I inspect buildings for a living and Maggie drives a school bus. When we're not working, we love to get away to our future retirement home in Rincon where we've got the pleasure of making some real nice friends over the years in and around our Puerto-Rican home. We enjoy getting away from it all whenever we can on one of those nightly JetBlue flights from JFK straight into Aguadilla-then it's only about a 25 minute drive to our vacation home's front door.
Tim & Margaret Gill purchased this Villa in 2005
Why Tim & Margaret Gill chose Puntas
After several years of traveling the Caribbean in search for a vacation home, our search led us to Rincon, Puerto Rico where the weather is terrific and swimming in the ocean during any months is great. To wake up and immediately view the ocean/beach for the bedroom is truly a paradise on earth.
What makes this Villa unique
Ocean views are present form the master and second bedrooms along with the living and dining rooms. Our villa is located in the first row of buildings along the seaside in this gated community. You can walk down the beach to Casa Islena or Tamboo/Beside the Pointe (10-15 minutes). Located along a stretch of beach known for some of the best sea-glass collecting anywhere.

Awesome Spring Break Vacation
Our family made the trip from Texas to Rincon for Spring Break. Your condo was better than the pictures on HomeAway, tons of room, very clean and much, much more. Everything we needed for the beach was there. We enjoyed the entire week and can't wait to come back.
Thank you for sharing your lovely Rincon beach house.
Thank you, Margaret and I found this ocean-side paradise property and love to be able to share it with our guests. We strive to make your vacation the most perfect it could possibly be by supplying everything you need to make your stay feel like 'Your Home Away from Home'
Great location and a great place to stay
We enjoyed our trip and was very happy to see the island recovering from the hurricane. No need for anyone to be concerned about that when considering rincon and this condo. The beach was great, neighbors who live there are super nice, beaches beautiful and the condo comfortable. Will definitely return in the future. One thing to note is the pool is currently empty and closed as is the excercise area. That was a bummer for the kids amd totally unexpected. Hopefully it will be back up and running for future visitors but the protected swimming area on the beach was just as good if not better! Dont hesitate to rent this one!
Rincon is alive and doing great!
This is the first post after Hurricane Maria, I believe, so I will focus more on the town post-Hurricane than the house for that reason. I recommend you read other posts to learn more about the house, but I added a bit towards the end.
Let me say that Rincon is still there and doing great. First, the beach outside the house is fully intact. We went for long walks on the beach and our two sons, 4 and 6, played in the shallows. We walked to and from Tamboo several times -- it's a shorter walk than I expected --- and it is open, serving great drinks and food. Great, great beach and hardly anybody on it. Unbelievable. Like our own private paradise.
In town all of the grocery stores are open, clean, and fully operational. Fruit vendors are open and full of delicious fruit and veggies, especially avocados. We had no issues getting groceries or anything.
While one or two restaurants had odd hours or were closed, (we'll miss you brewery), for the most part, the restaurants are open and serving delicious food. Thursday night art market was in full swing, as well as the Sunday farmers market.
We flew into San Juan and drove to Rincon. The roads, for the most part, were fine. A few stoplights were out, making for some interesting intersections, but all in all, the driving went smoothly, or as smoothly as pre-Maria.
Finally, during our stay, the electricity did go out once during a two-week period. It came back on and, because the weather was so wonderful, it wasn't really a big deal. I told Tim to think about some candles and flashlights, but hopefully, this issue doesn't persist, and, like I wrote, it didn't ruin our vacation by any stretch.
Since this is a home review, the house has everything you need --- working AC, great grill, comfortable rooms, and, most importantly, a stone's throw to the beach --- and Tim is very responsive on email. Let him know if you have any questions.
Anyway, we loved the house, we loved our vacation, and we love Rincon, so, yes, this is a little bit of a shoutout for one of the best beach towns anywhere. If you are thinking about going and had any hesitations due to the hurricane, don't worry; go, you won't regret it.
Thank you for staying with us and the suggestion of flashlights. We have tried to keep some flashlights in the past but they seem to disappear and I guest candles can only go so far. We have since went to Amazon and purchased some really bright sets of 4 flashlights for each villa (3009873, 407429 on VRBO) and have them positioned where adults can easily access them and to keep them accounted for. Services such as power, internet, water and cable have been fine and all are running back to previous or better performance. Boy, it's such a terrific town to be vacationing in. So peaceful in the community and on the beach yet only minutes for town or a walk to Tamboo down the beach. Thank you for your stay and review.
Paradise with Comfort
This Villa is everything you are looking for in a caribbean vacation; a stones throw from the beach, Clean, Central AC, sand toys for kids, nicely decorated, BBQ, even beach chairs. All in a gated community with easy access to restaurants and shops. Tim is a Great host and is always available if he is needed.
I will stay here again
Relaxing Oasis in Beautiful Rincon
The villa was perfect for our two families (4 adults + 4 children). The villa was spacious and had enough room for everyone to spread out. Since it was located in a gated community, we always felt safe. You can’t help but feel safe as you drive down the immaculately kept private road to the villa location.
The kitchen was well equipped with everything you'll need. We cooked a few breakfast meals and had enough space to enjoy breakfast together. The nearest cafe, Dulcis Vita Bakery and Coffee Shop (which received stellar ratings on Yelp), is only a 5-minute drive away, located in the plaza of Rincon. The Dads morning routine was to pick up a quick espresso to start the day. In the villa, the kids loved the bunk beds. The loft area is perfect for the pre teens to teens who want a little privacy if you have a mix of ages.
The beach was located just a few feet away from the front door. The great thing about the beach was the tide pool which is protected by a reef. The water was relatively calm and the depth was a consistent 3 to 3.5 ft. It was perfect for the kids to play without any worries. The kids enjoyed playing in the beautiful sand and came back with a handful of seashells and sea glass for art and crafts. The best part was the privacy. We often had the beach all to ourselves.
The pool was also walking distance from the villa. We used the pool a handful of times and often had the entire pool just to ourselves. The water was clean and the view of the ocean from the pool was spectacular. The kids enjoyed chasing two giant iguanas which were sunbathing on the concrete near the pool. It should be noted the pool cost was $100 for the week. Since the facilities were well maintained, I felt it was a solid purchase.
Although the villa is located in a private gated community, there are great restaurants like ‘The Beach House’ and ‘Red Flamboyan’ just a short drive away. I’m craving the surfer’s omelette at ‘The Beach House’ as I’m finishing this review.
The memories we made at the villa will last us a lifetime. Thank you, Tim and Margaret, for sharing your beautiful vacation home. It was by far our best stay in Puerto Rico (and we’ve visited over a half dozen times in the past).
We enjoyed every second. The villa, the beach, the neighborhood, nearby places and activities are great. We had a memorable Family Vacation.
There are plenty of activities in and around the Rincon area. There is also a small marina in Rincon for half and full day boating, diving and snorkeling trips. There are whale watching trips during the winter months and whales can often be seen from our beach just outside the front door of from the third floor patio during whale watching season (January-March). You can walk to restaurants like Janeiro's (across from the complex entrance) Casa Islena (a 8 minute walk down the beach-towards the sunset) and Tamboo-Beside the Pointe a popular restaurant/bar-a 12-15 minute walk down the beach featuring live music on the weekends. Kenny our property manager is there to help you find terrific places to visit, eat and drink and can also arrange for an in-house massage as well as the scheduling of surfing lessons.
