About Katherine S. Clancy
We built this hacienda as a luxury retreat to recharge and reconnect with family and friends. With six grown children and spouses in NYC, London, SF, and other parts of the world, our hacienda is the ideal gathering place to enjoy sparkling blue skies, majestic mountains, colorful Western lore and lasting memories.
Katherine S. Clancy purchased this House in 2012
Why Katherine S. Clancy chose Tubac
We designed and built this home to reflect an authentic Spanish colonial-style hacienda evocative of an authentic ranch hacienda built over a century ago. Wide archways, tiled halls, deep-set casement windows, rustic wooden beams all reflect this historic patina. Yet, this hacienda boasts the luxuries of modern life - widescreen hi-def TV's, wi-fi, gourmet cooking, luxurious bathrooms, a remote-controlled pool and spa. All situated on 5 private, secluded acres just 1.5 miles from the unique artist colony of Tubac, Arizona.
What makes this House unique
State-of-the-art tiled 38 foot pool with attached spa; access to the famous 27-hole Red Lawrence championship course at the Tubac Golf and Country Club; minutes from the shops and restaurants of Tubac or famous historical sites in the area. 40 minutes from Tucson International Airport, 2.5 hrs from Phoenix.

Nicely appointed, excellent pool and the hot tub provided unsurpassed star gazing opportunities. Perfect for our family gathering. Katherine is an excellent host . You should not pass up the opportunity to stay in this wonderful house.
Thank you for the very nice review. We are so glad your family enjoyed the home and Tubac.
Outstanding VRBO Experience!
This property is amazing. It's secluded but close to the wonderful experiences of Tubac..... excellent, eclectic shopping, the outstanding Tubac Golf Resort and Spa, and great restaurants! We came here to celebrate my Dad's 90th and my parents' 66th wedding anniversary. This house was the ultimate in relaxation (the photos of the pool and the views are not exaggerated! It's as beautiful and relaxing as they look!) and perfect for our intimate, low key family celebration. The decor/artwork and layout of the house is beautiful! Katherine was very attentive as a host both before and during the stay. We had no issues with the property while we were there. Everything worked fine. We would definitely return to this VRBO!
Thank you so much for a fabulous review. We returned to Tubac yesterday and we just love our oasis here.
We had such a nice time.
As always this property is fabulous. This was the fifth time we have stayed here and the owne is terrific and the property itself is beautiful. We celebrated a 60th birthday with girlfriends and it could not have been better. Thank you Katherine.
Thanks so much for the great review.
Wonderful place for a family gathering!
Wonderful family vacation
We had a wonderful 10 days with our family in Tubac at the Clancy home. The home sits on a 5 acre parcel, super private!! We were there in July, temperatures were in the 100's, so we thoroughly enjoyed the refreshing pool. We had a variety of fun weather, thunder, lightening and monsoon rains, which was very exciting especially for the grandkids to experience. The views from the home and pool are spectacular, we especially enjoyed the sunsets. The home is spacious, lots of space to hang out together or enjoy some privacy. The owners were readily available to make sure all our needs were met. Great vacation!
Thank you for your fabulous review. We return to Tubac today, and we cannot wait to be back home. Please email me your address so I can return the pool heat cost.
A short 5 minute drive or 1.5 mile bike ride brings you to Tubac’s historic barrio and colonial Spanish Presidio, founded in 1752. Peruse dozens of traditional and folk art galleries and craft shops. Dine at several local restaurants or enjoy a meal in downtown Tucson. Nearby, visit centuries old Tumacacori Historic Park & Church or the San Xavier del Bac Indian Mission and Casino. Walk, or ride, the historic Anza Trail, following Spanish explorer Juan Baptiste de Anza who trekked from Tubac across New Spain to establish the Mission at San Francisco, California in 1775. Play the spectacular 27-hole course designed by Red Lawrence. Pamper yourself at the Spa or have drinks, lunch or dinner at the Club. Several local stables offer half- day or full-day pack rides through the Santa Cruz Valley and Coronado National Park. Explore thousands of acres concealing Geronimo’s Apache hideouts and secluded mountain canyons preserving giant Saguaro, Cholla and Ocotilla cacti. The area is world renowned for exceptional bird-watching, too.
