About Valerie Austin
Our family lives in Dallas and enjoy relaxing weekend getaways. We love getting in a quick hike, enjoying the wonderful forest views, eating out at local restaurants if we don't feel like firing up the grill. It's family time in the great outdoors.
Valerie Austin purchased this Cabin in 2012
Why Valerie Austin chose Broken Bow
We appreciate the easy access of Beaver's Bend and the beauty of the area. After vacationing there several years ago, we decided it was a great location for us. We throw a cooler in the car, take the dog and Grandma up for the weekend and feel like we have really gotten away. Hiking, driving and exploring the dam and river, sitting outside and just looking at the stars helps us recharge.

Had taken granddaughter for 16 birthday , No internet , only one jet working in hot tub ,had to dust inside and pu trash from outside as soon as we got there . And I’m pretty sure the sheets had not been changed , or was not washed good on bunk beds 😟
Our family vacation
We had an awesome time .... We definitely enjoyed our stay this was our first time coming to a cabin we come from Las Vegas n my family loved it so much ...thank you so much ...
Only problems we had was WiFi didn't work and there was no working TV in the master bedroom. Everything else was fantastic. Hot tub, BBQ grill, and fire pit were amazing! Really wasn't far from lake or town.
Nice looking property, but definitely needs some TLC in certain areas
When arriving the property wasn’t cleaned. Didn’t get to check in until 5:30pm. Even at that the property wasn’t completely cleaned. Bathroom light was burned out or not working. Could use some dusting on top of refrigerator, cabinets, ceiling fans and TVs. The bed wasn’t very comfortable, it was like sleeping on box springs. The property also needs some TLC on the outside such as the decking, steps and outside lighting. The outside lighting covers were dirty and filled with dead bugs, and what looked like leaves and other debris. Trees needed to be trimmed up. I personally had a truck and boat which was impossible to get to the property or park on the property without tree limbs hitting, rubbing and scratching my truck and boat. Those are the things I personally noticed and was unhappy with. I’m sure once or if those issues are addressed, this would be a cabin I would reconsider staying at again, but not until then.
I travel to this area 3 or 4 times a year and rent cabins every time I go. I have had great experiences with all the properties and this is the first time I’ve had any issues with any of them.
Nice cabin, close to everything
The cabin and location were great. We were very happy with the conditions and accommodations minus a few things. The faults may seem nitpicky, but they were kind of a big deal to us. It comfortably sleeps 5, but will sleep 7. The road is pretty bumpy, especially if pulling a boat trailer. The internet did not work. If you choose to stay here, you cannot rely on this internet (satellite) and you may not get enough signal on your phone.
My grandsons said this was the best place to camp! 2 bedroom, 2 bath & a t.v. We had a campfire, cooked hotdogs, & relaxed in the hot tub. My way of camping!! Very comfortable & clean!
Broken Bow is a spectacular forest and lake/river area. The lake, woods, rivers, & marina provide opportunity for fly fishing, hiking, boating, ATVs, wildlife viewing, swimming, golfing, sightseeing, or just relaxing by a campfire.
