About Valerie Austin

Our family lives in Dallas and enjoy relaxing weekend getaways. We love getting in a quick hike, enjoying the wonderful forest views, eating out at local restaurants if we don't feel like firing up the grill. It's family time in the great outdoors.

Valerie Austin purchased this cabin in 2012

Why Valerie Austin chose Oklahoma

We appreciate the easy access of Beaver's Bend and the beauty of the area. After vacationing there several years ago, we decided it was a great location for us. We throw a cooler in the car, take the dog and Grandma up for the weekend and feel like we have really gotten away. Hiking, driving and exploring the dam and river, sitting outside and just looking at the stars helps us recharge.

Well kept and convenient location

  • 4 of 5

Very nice cabin, well maintained and everything is provided. Only complaint is that the WiFi doesn't provide adequate service, therefore none of us were able to use our devices

The cabin was really nice & clean. The only thing I would have liked was a tv in the master bedroom cause the grandkids was using the two that was there 🙂

Cabin was nice, clean and cozy!

  • 5 of 5

I booked the Blue Aspen cabin for myself and three of my friends for a yearly girls trip. The cabin was nice, clean, and well stocked. Cabin had all the necessary kitchen utensils and appliances we needed. Bathrooms were well stocked also. We absolutely loved the hot tub and wrap around porch. The road noise was hardly noticeable and the cabins are spaced well enough apart to feel a sense of pivacy! We had a great get away stay and will definitely book this cabin in the future!!

The only complaint is the WiFi. No one could connect and if they did connect it was very weak.

Very nice looking property

Place was amazing. Only two complaints I have is wifi is horrible and ceiling fans in living room and outside hardly move air. Other than that it is a very nice cabin and we really enjoyed the visit

Family Vacation

  • 2 of 5

We enjoyed the quite but had a few complaints. The hot tub had some issues. All of the jets did not work which was sad. The bathroom door did not lock so someone was always walking in on someone. The big windows did nothing but let the heat into the house. Was not comfortable in the evenings. I was just disappointed that the upkeep was not better. I have stayed in many cabins and this was not one of my favorites.
