Located on Princess Street, in the historic heart of Dunmore Town, this spacious 1,400 square foot, 3 bedroom, 2 bath apartment features sweeping harbor views, contemporary furnishings and resort style amenities. High ceilings, denticulated crown molding, large harbor side picture window, roomy outdoor terrace and understated coastal décor work to create a gracious living space. A large, well-equipped kitchen, luxury bath amenities and plush bedding complete the resort-like experience. Large LED flat screen TV, DVD player, high speed Internet (with WiFi), Vonage phone, stereo iPod dock, front-load washer & dryer, out-door hot/cold rain shower, shared garden patio, gas grill, standby generator, harbor side dock. There are two queen bedrooms and one bedroom with twin beds. NOW AIR CONDITIONED THROUGHOUT. Ceiling fans. Sleeps 6 comfortably. Housekeeping 3 days per week. No Government Room Tax.

About Charles Carey

I am a son of the island. I was born and raised in nearby Nassau. But my family roots on Harbour Island go back to the 1600s. The apartment was constructed by my grandfather in the 1960s and has been in the family continuously ever since. I took over this year and have given it a complete and thorough renovation with updated decor. It's a gem of a property located above the harbor in historic Dunmore Town with sweeping views of the sea.

Harbour Island used to be the best kept secret of the few who first discovered its charms 50 years ago. Well, the secret is out! And more and more discriminating travelers are discovering it. Good news is -- it remains relatively unchanged. An island of three miles with a few chic but small hotels, its capacity is limited. Which is good news for those who venture here. The spectacular pink sand beach (one of the Top Ten in the World) is never crowded. In fact, sometimes you might have it all to yourself!

Great location and

Apartment Royal was great! The location and view are amazing. It is close to all the main stores, restaurants and dock. The beach is a short walk or golf cart ride away. The apartment is nice and large with plenty of beds for larger parties. The balcony is great with beautiful views of the bay and sunset. There is a nice backyard patio as well. The beach umbrellas, towels and toys were very helpful. The owner was always super helpful with what ever we need. Highly recommended place to stay!

Great Location!

Apartment Royal's location can't be beat! We loved staying in Dunmore Town. Great shops and restaurants all within walking distance. Wonderful bay views from the terrace. The apartment was spacious and comfortable for our family of four. Charles was a terrific host. Thoughtful touches include welcome bottle of wine, water, beach chairs and toys. Don't miss a visit to the art gallery downstairs. Terrific art and a well curated selection of books, jewelry and accessories.

Beautifull place

The owner Charles is very Pleasant and helpfull We arrive a day before because I mistook and he found me a room ,he drave us to the hotel and came to pick up tomorrow.

The appartement is very well décorated and It has a beautifull Terrace overlooking the Beautifull beach is 5 minutes with a golf cart

LOVELY Apartment!

We had such a splended stay at Apartment Royal. Super fresh, clean and tasteful place to stay. Two bathrooms with tubs. Located in the very central part of Dunmore town with the sweet little food store, deli and wine store right round the corner. Couldn't have had a better location. Also nice habour view fron the spacious balcony. Charming outdoor patio and outdoor shower and mini garden. Extra plus for the sweet and welcoming owner Charles who also runs the lovely gallery downstairs. We would gladly stay here again. / Leila with Family.

Royal Treatment in Briland

My family of 4 just returned from a fantastic 5-night stay at Apartment Royal. What a treat it was! Having been to Harbour Island a number of times before, we have some experience with rental properties on the island. Apartment Royal was the cleanest, and most well maintained property we have experienced. The personal touches, such as a welcome bottle of wine, Fiji waters and bath robes were a nice surprise. Beach chairs, umbrellas, toys and plenty of beach towels are just some of the amenities that you don't find at many other places. The view from the back deck is phenomenal, particularly during sunset and the floor plan lends itself to capturing a nice constant breeze throughout the property. We never even needed to turn the air conditioner on. The location is ideal - the grocery store, deli, cart rental and liquor store are all within a block. Pink Sands Beach is only a 2 minute golf cart ride away. We hosted a party one evening for friends with cocktails and sunset viewing on the deck followed by a BBQ in the beautiful courtyard below. Everyone commented on the superior condition and cleanliness of the property compared to theirs.

The best part of the rental was getting to know the owner, Charles, who also owns the gallery below and lives next door. My 2 kids loved getting to know him and sharing their stories of adventure with him every day upon returning from the beach. What sets this property apart from others on the island, I believe, is having an owner like Charles actually on site to ensure that everything is always top notch. We could not recommend Apartmet Royal more highly and thank Charles for the "Royal treatment".
