Adam and Kathrin both attended and obtained degrees from Texas A&M University. We have lived and worked in the area for more than ten years. Adam owns a solar business and teaches at the university, and Kathrin is a veterinarian and doing research at Texas A&M.
Adam purchased this Cottage in 2001
Why Adam chose Canyon Creek
This property offers the best of both worlds: It is a peaceful, country-like setting on 2.5 acres, away from busy town life, town lights, and town noise -- yet it is only seven minutes away (by car) to the university or downtown Bryan!
What makes this Cottage unique
The New England style construction is cozy and somewhat unique in this area. The wooded setting and large area of natural landscape offers more privacy than typical neighborhoods. The neighbors are friendly, helpful, and many are often out walking on the main road.

Great cozy apt.
Loved this place. This is a garage apartment in a neighborhood secluded in the woods, but only 10 min. drive to stores, restaurants. Hosts were welcoming and respectful of privacy. Would definitely stay here again.
Adam's place was perfect for us! Everything was clean and as pictured. It is very near town but away from crazy traffic and difficult hotel scheduling. It was an excellent place for us while we attended our son's graduation from A&M. Highly recommend!
Quiet, peaceful get away, but close to everything. Comfortable bed, nice set up.
We enjoyed the whole house, comfortable beds, nice set up, only wish there was ESPN on TV. Would def come back though.
Beautiful little cottage in the woods.
This is one of the best examples of good design and use of space that I have ever seen. It felt much larger than it actually was. I loved the rural atmosphere, yet it was close to everything you need. The big deck was really nice and the view was gorgeous. The owner and his family were really good people. They were there if you needed them, but made sure you had your privacy. If you want a quiet little get away, you need to see this place.
ABSOLUTE PERFECTION!!!! Everything about this place is amazing...the location, the amenities, the feeling of "home," and the availability and genuine hospitality of Adam and his family. If available, this will be the only place I will stay when I come back to TAMU each Summer! What a blessing!

The property was awesome! Home away from home. REALLY
We enjoyed every minute of it. Nice clean homey property. We ate out on the balcony for breakfast. So peaceful. We will for sure stay again this time next year if my son makes State Equiene Special Olympics again.
Situated on 2.5 acres in a quiet and friendly neighborhood, our guest house includes a large, upper-level deck that overlooks the peaceful oak forest. The wonderful country setting feels miles away from busy city life, which is why our guests find it hard to believe that downtown is only a seven-minute drive. You're just five miles from the Northgate area, five miles to some great, local restaurants, and only five miles to Kyle Field! While you're here, be sure to visit the newly-restored, picaresque, historical downtown Bryan area as well. You'll find many local specialty shops and unique restaurants, including a popular German restaurant modeled after the owner's original restaurant in his home country. (The elaborate bar woodwork, which stretches from the first to the top of the second floor, was imported from Germany.) If you enjoy golf, there are at least four courses to choose from around town. The closest (about three miles) is Traditions Gold Club, a Jack Nicklaus Design Championship course - considered one of the best courses in Texas. Texas A&M Aggie football games are probably the biggest local attraction. Hotel rooms and other accommodations are usually booked to 100% occupancy many _months_ in advance. The Piper Place Guest House is perfect for home games because it offers a quiet getaway just minutes from town, and it INCLUDES FREE PARKING just two blocks from Kyle Field! We have reserved a great, convenient parking space for you in the historic neighborhood across the street (south) from Kyle field. INTERNET: Free, fast Wi-Fi service is included.
