Overview

Amsterdam Apartment Rental Photos and Description

Quiet oasis with lots of space (215 sqm) to retreat from the city buzz

Apartment ideal for a family of 4/5.

I have an official short stay licence issued by the Amsterdam municipality.

The apartment is located in the back of a historic Canal House. It is the perfect place to relax after a busy day in town. The modern loft apartment measures 215 sqm and can accommodate up to 6 guests. It has three bedrooms, two badrooms and a library/study corner (on the lower level) and a large open living/dining space with high ceilings and huge windows overlooking the garden, an open plan kitchen with diner on the upper level. With the apartment comes a private, secluded garden with day bed, table and chairs. There is an extra room downstairs with washer and dryer.

Due to the open plan space, the apartment is less suitable for small children.

As the apartment is below streetlevel, the downstairs bathrooms are equiped with pumps. These make some sound when used.

Master Bedroom (King size bed 210x180, windows on 'vide')

Walk-through closet

Large Bathroom with bath, double sink, separate shower, toilet

Bedroom 2, double bed 200x160, windows on garden

Small bathroom (sink, shower, toilet)

Open Kitchen with diner for 6 (oven, stove, dishwasher, N espresso coffeemaker, etc)

About Mrs F Brouwer

I've loved Amsterdam ever since I moved there 30 years ago, and look forward to welcoming you and help you make the best of your stay. I have travelled a lot and know what makes a homestay worthwhile. As my children (24 and 22) have left home to study, I now have the opportunity to offer my apartment for rent. I work for an ICT Multinational and study Arts & Culture. I like contemporary art of which you will find a lot in the apartment. And I cannot live without books so you will be surrounded by plenty of those too.

Why Mrs F Brouwer chose Amsterdam

Check http://bit.ly/YPahhm for reviews and additional photo's

Once you see the apartment you'll understand why I still love it since we bought it 26 years ago! It has the best of both worlds: whilst in the middle of Amsterdam the place is very tranquil. The loft style apartment offers plenty of space; ceilings reach 6 meters nhigh. You'll find quiet, space and plenty of green in the garden. The popular nine streets area is around the corner. You can walk (or cycle) to all major attractions. And as you step out of the historic front door you'll smile when you see the beautiful Herengracht canal.

What makes this apartment unique

The space, the height of the ceilings, the open living space with it's overcrossing 'bridge', the huge windows and the quiet garden! On top of that: location, location, location.

Beautiful Apartment in the heart of Amsterdam

  • 5 of 5

My Husband and I recently spent a week in Amsterdam with my Parents and our daughter to celebrate their 50th Wedding Anniversary.

Florentine Brouwer, the owner, was wonderful to work with. She was very accommodating and answered all our questions in a timely manner. On our arrival, she made us feel right at home and provided us everything we needed to start our stay in Amsterdam.

The Apartment was beautiful. There was ample space inside and in the wonderful back yard. We were centrally located and it was an easy walk to the tram and all the major sights. The Apartment was immaculate and comfortable. We had a wonderful vacation and most was due to our wonderful experience with our apartment and our host.

Great location. The garden is a bonus!

  • 5 of 5

Stayed here for 8 days in June to enjoy Amstetdam, The location is fantastic and in what we learned was one of the best areas to stay. Plenty of great stores and restaurants.

From here we were able to walk to all the major Museums and also catch a tram to central station to catch trains out to other cities. Added bonus for us was the garden in the back where we were able to spend some of our evenings in. The weather helped with this as we were so fortunate to get 6 straight days of beautiful weather to enjoy it. We would pick up cheese and wine and enjoy the quote of the garden. Very comfortable place for our family of 5. Don't hesitate booking it!

Lovely canal home!

  • 5 of 5

Four of us recently spent a week at this home and were thrilled with the location and the amenities. Beautifully stocked kitchen and comfortable bedrooms and a lovely garden space. Walking distance to wonderful restaurants, coffee shop, sights and markets. Florentine was quick to fix an appliance and provided a gracious introduction to the apartment. I would go back to this location if ever in Amsterdam again. A beautiful, convenient and quiet spot!

A beautiful apartment in a perfect location

  • 5 of 5

We feel fortunate to have found this gem and met the owner. She did more than rent her home; she extended warm hospitality to our family of five adults--daughter, son-in-law, grandson, my husband and me. The location is perfect, enabling us to walk just about everywhere we wanted to go. I highly recommend it.

Our family had a wonderful stay in September. Florentine's apartment was perfect in every way. Lots of room to spread out and tons of atmosphere with art and books. We had everything we needed.

Excellent stay!

  • 5 of 5

We, a group of 6 friends, stayed in mid-September in this amazing residence, which greatly pleased us. A very spacious and comfortable place, located in one of the main and beautiful canals of the city, close to several scenic spots and good restaurants, cafes and markets. The public transport system also accessible with a short walk.

From the first contact until our arrival at the residence, we were very well attended and greeted by the owner, Florentine. She received us with great sympathy, showing the residence and its operation. A beautiful welcome reception!

We thank the Florentine friendliness and maintenance of your home in such good conditions for users of VRBO.

We recommend the residence to those looking for a great place to stay in Amsterdam and we hope to one day return ...
