We have been together for 18 years. We love to sing and play music, gardening (organic vegi/herbs & floral), outdoor activities, DIY major renovating, and we love to travel! 6 years ago we discovered vrbo and have used it continually on our trips. When our long term renters left to buy a home of their own, we decided to offer up the unit for other vacation renters instead of looking for new tenants. We love meeting people from around the world and enjoy practicing our spanish, french, and german when the opportunity affords.
Renée Cingolani & Darryn Stephen purchased this apartment in 2004
This is a property that has been in our family for years. It is an original century home in Oro, built in the late 1800's and comes with a ton of history. Each year we finish something new; adding a new garden, extending a forest path, adding new trees to the orchard, rebuilding a room or two, etc. We love our home, the history that comes with it, and very much enjoy sharing it with others.
We were in desperate need of short term accommodation as we had a very quick closing on our home sale. Renee and family could not have been more accommodating. We would highly recommend this upscale/friendly/scenic country rental to anyone. Don't miss the opportunity.
My husband and I just spent 4 nights at this lovely accommodation! We found it by chance as it had just become available so we felt very fortunate. Renee is so friendly, efficient and helpful. Her husband (whose name I cannot recall- sorry!) even cleared all the snow off our car one morning!! We totally felt looked after. The apartment was gorgeous. Light and airy, spotlessly clean and so well equipped. There was absolutely everything we needed. The bed in the master bedroom was heavenly. We were lucky enough to have a big dump of snow on our second day and loved snow shoeing around the back of their farm in the woods and fields with our two labs who thought they had died and gone to heaven! We spent a day cross country skiing at Hardwood only a few minutes drive away which is so convenient. We also snow shoed one day on the Ganaraska hiking trail again only minutes away by car which was lovely. When we arrived they did not have TSN on the satellite and with the Junior Hockey playing on New Years Eve we wondered if we could subscribe for it for a week and within 5 mins Renee had signed us up, no questions asked! Thank you for a wonderful New Years. Highly recommend for those who would like to utilise Horseshoe, Moonstone and Hardwood Hills.
We would love to come back for another weekend and will recommend for sure.
A serious illness in our family caused a sudden move back to the Oro area for us in May of this year. We found the Cingolani's beautiful home online and moved in while we waited for our house to finish being built. We could not have asked for a better place to stay. Welcoming us with open arms, they took us and our pups in and we immediately felt like one of the family during a very trying time. We fell in love with everyone, the home, the property, the atmosphere, and have made friends for life. It is a wonderful, hidden gem, and we can not recommend it highly enough.
This was a fantastic spot to take my husband and two sons away for a long weekend of skiing! The apartment was gorgeous, very spacious and immaculately clean with everything we needed at our fingertips. The host family was very friendly and welcoming, encouraging us to explore the beautiful property, which we enjoyed doing. We look forward to returning to this wonderful spot again someday!
We were 2 couples and a teenager for the weekend and the place could not have been better! It was minutes away from the two cross country sites we visited and also close to amenities for the inevitable 'I thought you were bringing that' items. We also appreciated the loan of the snowshoes to explore the back forty. Easy to get to, immaculate and well-equipped - exactly as described on the website. Our only regret was not finding this spot earlier on in the ski season. We won't make that mistake next year!
An extremely well-priced accommodation! Very straightforward set-up. You show up, you stay, you enjoy :) Everything as advertised and very relaxing comfortable surroundings. Will definitely request this property again if having a getaway in the area. Great and efficient communication through email before arrival :) Thanks again for a wonderful weekend!
