My boyfriend & I stayed in Villa Sara during our Spring Break, from March 12th-16th, 2017. To say we enjoyed our stay would be understatement. It was amazing. Ricardo was very accommodating, welcoming & helpful. His wife is lovely as well! I wish we spoke more Italian. The land is beautiful, breathtaking & very peaceful. We would wake up in the mornings and sit outside, on top of the hill, it was sunny. We would sometimes sit out there for hours at a time. There's nothing like it. The house is big and beautiful-like something out of a movie, out in the Italian countryside. The photos do not do Villa Sara justice. You have to be there to see how amazing it really is. We had fresh towels, soap, firewood outside (chilly at night), warm blankets, plenty of kitchenware to cook, and there is a big wood-burning stove downstairs in the living room area. There is a giant table and plenty of chairs to sit outside. We loved our stay and did not want to leave. I would recommend taking the cooking class with Ricardo & his family. We regret not doing this because his family is so nice and welcoming. We were quite limited on days and had much to see, and the places were far to drive to. We will definitely come back here and will recommend to everyone. Thanks!!
It is always a pleasure for us to host new people and we always try to do our best so that their holiday in Siena should be unforgettable.
We usually give the keys personally and give advice to the guests for their stay.
We are very pleased to receive reviews like this that will give us back our work.

Breathtaking scenery and villa living experience
Old world country house that fits 8 people nicely. In house pasta making, delicious requested prepared food and unbeatable scenery. Take the cooking class and I’m home cooking —- it makes the villa experience complete. The scenery is absolutely breathtaking. Small kitchen. No dryer but plenty of sun to do some environmentally conscious laundry. Awesome family and hospitality, always available to make sure your stay is the best. Highly recommend.
House outside of Siena
The pluses of this property include a great location (on a hill 15 minutes outside of Siena) , a very responsive owner and more than enough room for a large family (we were only two adults and two children). The only thing preventing me from giving a five star review is that the furniture was bit worn/dated as well as the kitchen equipment.
We were a family of 4 and really enjoyed this property. Ample space and plenty of bedrooms so we could feel at home and not too cramped. The property is on a hilltop so maintains a beautiful vista of Siena and the surrounding countryside. Best moments were watching the lights come on at night on the Sienese towers. The owner and his son were very friendly and helpful. Explained the property well and were quick to respond to any questions we had during our stay. Thanks for a good stay and we look forward to coming back. I would recommend this property to anyone.
Country house with spectacular sunset view over Siena
We were group of 10 friends on holiday in different places in Europe and met up in Tuscany for 3 days. The place accommodated all of us comfortably. The bedrooms were large and bathrooms updated. The location is very private. Other than one other property we pretty much had the hill all to ourselves.
Best part of this property is the view! We took a lot of sunset photos! We did yoga in the garden in the morning. If it wasn't too cold in the evenings we had drinks at the table outside. If we had more time, it would have been great to hike or walk the countryside.
One very important thing - you need a car if you're staying here. We had a problem with picking up one of our rental cars - it was a good thing the host helped us find alternative. Very thankful to our host for this!
Great country getaway with easy access to Siena
The house was clean, open, and had enough spaces for all of us to find our own quiet time or to come together. We were able to walk around the olive grove and see some wildlife, and then jump in the car and easily drive into Siena for some city adventures. The pool was clean, but the weather was too cool for us to use it. Riccardo and Leonardo were responsive and were able to accommodate our arrival and departure times. You do hear a bit of the traffic noise from the highway, but that dies down at night. Also, the windows had screens so we could let in the fresh country air at night minus any bugs but each room had an air conditioner if we had needed it. It was a very relaxing and comfortable stay for us.
