This remodeled one-bedroom, one-bath cottage has everything you could ask for when visiting the wine country: expansive decks, plush patio furniture and high-end grill to enjoy the outdoors, and a cozy living room with contemporary furniture, art by local artists, king-size bed, and a chef’s kitchen (Viking Range) for indoor comfort. WiFi enabled. Bring your smartphone, download the Sonos app and enjoy our wireless stereo system. Watch a film from our movie library or stream a movie from your laptop using Roku. Upstairs is a loft with two single beds.
The cottage shares two acres with a main house and is set amongst California live oaks and Bay trees. A “winter” creek runs through the property. Lots of open space, full of Redtail hawks, wild turkeys, deer and the occasional fox. Take a walk down the quiet country lane or better yet, bring bikes and enjoy one of Sonoma’s best biking regions. We are right near one of Sonoma’s best regional parks, Annadel State Park. Historic Jack London State Park is only 15 minutes by car.
The cute town of Kenwood is only five minutes by car. Glen Ellen’s top rated restaurants are 15 minutes and the downtown of Sonoma is 25 minutes. Quiet and secluded, the cottage is also just minutes from some of Sonoma Valley’s best and most picturesque wineries, including Ledson, Kunde and St. Francis.
Please note: the cottage does not have air-conditioning, but it does have plenty of ventilation and fans and the wine country almost always cools down nicely at night.

My partner and I purchased this property a few years ago because we fell in love with the area: quiet, secluded, yet close to the best wineries and restaurants in the Sonoma Valley.
We have recently remodeled the cottage and love sitting on the expansive deck and watching the wildlife go by.
We adored our stay in this charming cottage. Nestled amidst trees in a quiet lane, the cottage features a lovely patio with comfortable outdoor seating that provides the perfect setting to view a variety of wildlife as they wander past, including turkeys, deer, and squirrels. Located just up the hill from Kenwood's "city center" (it's a quaint village but one we enjoyed greatly), the cottage is a terrific home base from which to explore Sonoma, Glen Ellen, Kenwood and Santa Rosa. The layout of the cottage is perfect for couples and has upgraded amenities to make your stay more comfortable such as throw blankets for slightly chilly evenings outdoors and lounge chairs to bask in the sun during the day. We will definitely return to enjoy this lovely place.
We had a great stay at this home. The property is lovely and very quiet. The house was well decorated and immaculately clean. Comfortable beds, nice linens and a well stocked kitchen for cooking. It was the best of both worlds for us at the property feels like you are in the country, but just a short drive from Kenwood and Glen Ellen. Loved our stay and hope to come back!
The home was clean, modern and comfortable. We spent time lounging on the deck star gazing, went for a run through the winding roads past grape fields and visited local wineries (Kunde was my fav). We would definitely come back again!
My husband and I spent the weekend at Claire's Cottage and it was everything we hoped it would be. The place is beautiful and secluded but still a close distance to so much in Sonoma county. We will definitely book it again!
We loved our stay at the Cottage! It is just the kind of vacation spot you would like to own yourself. The cottage was very comfortable, it felt spacious even though it is not so big, it was spotless, we had everything we needed and it was so great to get all the light and feeling of being close to nature with all the doors and windows. When at home, we spent most of the time on the patio and loved watching the wildlife so close every day. It was also easy to take trips to wineries in Sonoma, Napa and Carneros from there and loved the nearby Citti cafe. Thank you, we will definitely recommend this place!
Upon arrival we were surprised at the size of the home. The pictures do not do it justice. The landscape and decor are wonderfully relaxing and exactly what we needed for our getaway. The owner was easy to communicate with and responded quickly to each email we sent. We only stayed for 2 nights and regret not booking for a longer stay. We will most definitely return. The beds were comfortable, the accommodations in the home were great. Everything was very tidy, it included a wonderful selection of reading materials, and the location was amazing. It was very quiet and we had a family of wild turkeys wander through the yard as well as many deer. We live in the mountains just south of the Oregon border and had come for some events in San Francisco and Sanoma. It was very nice to feel at home that far away from home. Looking forward to our next stay at this cottage.
