Overview

Kenwood Cottage Rental Photos and Description

Cottage, 1 Bedroom plus loft, (Sleeps 3-4)

This remodeled one-bedroom, one-bath cottage has everything you could ask for when visiting the wine country: expansive decks, plush patio furniture and high-end grill to enjoy the outdoors, and a cozy living room with contemporary furniture, art by local artists, king-size bed, and a chef’s kitchen (Viking Range) for indoor comfort. WiFi enabled. Bring your smartphone, download the Sonos app and enjoy our wireless stereo system. Watch a film from our movie library or stream a movie from your laptop using Roku. Upstairs is a loft with two single beds.

The cottage shares two acres with a main house and is set amongst California live oaks and Bay trees. A “winter” creek runs through the property. Lots of open space, full of Redtail hawks, wild turkeys, deer and the occasional fox. Take a walk down the quiet country lane or better yet, bring bikes and enjoy one of Sonoma’s best biking regions. We are right near one of Sonoma’s best regional parks, Annadel State Park. Historic Jack London State Park is only 15 minutes by car.

The cute town of Kenwood is only five minutes by car. Glen Ellen’s top rated restaurants are 15 minutes and the downtown of Sonoma is 25 minutes. Quiet and secluded, the cottage is also just minutes from some of Sonoma Valley’s best and most picturesque wineries, including Ledson, Kunde and St. Francis.

Please note: the cottage does not have air-conditioning, but it does have plenty of ventilation and fans and the wine country almost always cools down nicely at night.

Why Eric Pfeiffer chose Sonoma County

My partner and I purchased this property a few years ago because we fell in love with the area: quiet, secluded, yet close to the best wineries and restaurants in the Sonoma Valley.

What makes this cottage unique

We have recently remodeled the cottage and love sitting on the expansive deck and watching the wildlife go by.

Perfect vacation spot

  • 5 of 5

We loved our stay at the Cottage! It is just the kind of vacation spot you would like to own yourself. The cottage was very comfortable, it felt spacious even though it is not so big, it was spotless, we had everything we needed and it was so great to get all the light and feeling of being close to nature with all the doors and windows. When at home, we spent most of the time on the patio and loved watching the wildlife so close every day. It was also easy to take trips to wineries in Sonoma, Napa and Carneros from there and loved the nearby Citti cafe. Thank you, we will definitely recommend this place!

This is a beautiful home and setting. The owner was quick to reply to all of our questions.

Upon arrival we were surprised at the size of the home. The pictures do not do it justice. The landscape and decor are wonderfully relaxing and exactly what we needed for our getaway. The owner was easy to communicate with and responded quickly to each email we sent. We only stayed for 2 nights and regret not booking for a longer stay. We will most definitely return. The beds were comfortable, the accommodations in the home were great. Everything was very tidy, it included a wonderful selection of reading materials, and the location was amazing. It was very quiet and we had a family of wild turkeys wander through the yard as well as many deer. We live in the mountains just south of the Oregon border and had come for some events in San Francisco and Sanoma. It was very nice to feel at home that far away from home. Looking forward to our next stay at this cottage.

Fantasic Location!

  • 5 of 5

We were thrilled with our cottage in Sonoma Valley! It is absolutely gorgeous. The lot is huge and the cottage is impeccable and private. There are so many wineries within a few miles that you would have to stay a month to visit all of them! The decor and bedding are very upscale and we were very comfortable there. Although it was chilly during our visit, we still enjoyed the outdoor furnishings as well. Literally the only thing missing is a cooler to take your lunch to the wineries, but everything else you need is supplied.

Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Wonderful cottage away from it all

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed our stay at Eric's cottage. It is well-maintained and comfortable. The Sonos sound system worked very well as our "entertainment". Would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful property, great deck and nature on your doorstep

  • 5 of 5

One of those places you wish you spent more time at. Only 3 nights (2 days for us) as we were passing through on a road trip, but the property was all summed up on our 2nd day when we decided not to go to any wineries but to stay and enjoy the property instead (Eric had graciously provided us with a bottle on arrival after all)

That means a great BBQ, comfy outdoor sofa furniture, plenty of things happening around you (buzzards catching prey, deer, turkeys, lizards), grounds to play in and enjoy different aspects, huge deck, open feeling with all the patio doors, and then add the inside modern amenities and decor

Super comfortable bed, fun upstairs loft space, interesting coffee table books and games.

As a couple staying with our 5 year old son, it had everything we wanted all mixed in. Maybe next time we'll get to those wineries?

Wonderful Weekend Getaway

  • 5 of 5

I booked the cottage for a weekend getaway with a couple of friends, and it was perfect! The house was charming, clean, and quiet. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed to make a nice dinner. The patio was wonderful to enjoy a glass of wine and chat.

I highly recommend the cottage and will definitely go back myself.
