North East Mobile Home Rental Photos and Description

3 bedroom vacation rental - Private on Large Lot

Large mobile home, renovated in 2012, on large mowed lot, 3 bedrooms, 1 queen size bed, 1 full and 2 twins. Entertainment: Satellite TV, and games. New central air and gas furnace. For your comfort, this property is suitable for 4 or 5 guests.

Summer rates are $135 per night based on double occupancy. Additional guests are $10 per night due to extra laundry, cleaning and supplies. Winter rates are $100 per night and same rule applies to extra guests.

Kitchen: Fully equipped with appliances including microwave, gas stove and refrigerator, toaster and coffee maker. Full kitchen with dishes and utensils. You just bring the food.

Bath: Master bath has large shower. 2nd bath has tub and shower surround. High Efficiency washer and dryer are located in a separate laundry room off the kitchen.

Outside features: On fairly busy road but private with plenty of off road parking. Near railroad tracks but separated by a large field. Front deck for just sitting and relaxing. Concrete pad under a carport so you can drive up to the door.

Recommended for vacationers, or short stays for family events in the area. There is always lots going on in this part of the country. Every season offers something new - summer and winter sports, entertainment, shopping, located in grape country. Plenty of wineries, one within walking distance. The property is on a large lot with lots of off road parking. You can be comfortable and assured of your privacy. Kind of like a little 'home away from home'.

About Marie Dingfelder

We are Alan and Marie Dingfelder. We have been married for 51 years and have 2 grown children and 1 grandson. We both grew up in Corry, PA and moved to North East 38 years ago. We live next door to the property. We are calling our vacation rental a guest house because that's just what it is. We have a pretty small house and when we have company from out of town, it is hard to know where to put them. When we renovated the property, we decided it would be a good idea to no longer rent it full time but to use it for our visiting family and guests. We like the results so much that we may at some point decide to move in there ourselves. We have settled on A & M Guest House for the name of the property. We would be happy to have you as our guests.

Why Marie Dingfelder chose Great Lakes Pennsylvania

There are some beautiful properties here in North East. Although our guest house is not on the beach, we think it is in a great location. We are about 3 miles out of North East and only 15 or 20 minutes from Erie. The town of North East has a lot to offer in quaint shops and popular yearly events like the North East Cherry Festival in July, the Wine Fest, Rib Fest, and others. The property is private with off road parking. The drawback is we are located near a railroad crossing. People either love or hate the trains. If you hate them and the noise from them, you may want to avoid our place.

What makes this mobile home unique

Centrally located between North East and Erie, PA. Keep in mind North East is the name of the town, not the location. We are located in the northwest corner of Pennsylvania. This property is completely remodeled inside and out. There is always lots going on in this part of the country. Every season offers something new - summer and winter sports, entertainment, shopping, located in grape country. The property is on a large lot with lots of off road parking. You can be comfortable and assured of your privacy. Kind of like a little 'home away from home'.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Dear Marie & Alan,

We were so very happy and comfortable staying in your lovely home in North East PA. While the weather did not cooperate, that did not stop us from having a nice time. As you know, my dad is not well and he struggles to be comfortable without being in pain. He said the mattress topper you have on the bed made it so comfortable for him and he was very content. Your place was so neat and clean and you and Alan were lovely. I appreciate Alan coming and getting a fire going so I could make mountain pies for my dad. Thank you again!

Wonderfully comfortable and clean

  • 5 of 5

We travel to Erie a lot for family and always struggle to find a nice, cost effective place to stay. This home is fantastic! It is very clean, well kept and well stocked. The bed is very comfortable and the sheets were incredibly soft. It was very easy to have our dog with us and only a 20min drive to family. We spent time playing games around the table, watching the large TV, and even found their stash of playing cards. The owners were extremely welcoming and accommodating.

You need to bring your own water and be aware there there are train tracks next to the property. The trains did not bother us at all and the owners left a gallon of water in the frig just in chase. We loved it and will definitely be back!

Cozy vacation

  • 5 of 5

Marie ensured our every comfort over our stay! We traveled as a couple with our dog, and enjoyed the clean, cozy atmosphere. The big backyard was excellent for our dog, and for us to sit out and enjoy the view of the changing trees. The location was excellent for our trip exploring local wines. We traveled to 8 different wineries in one day! Thank you, Marie, for helping us celebrate our anniversary!

Great place! Close to what we wanted but private.

  • 5 of 5

This property was a wonderful place for us. Kitchen had all the essentials for cooking, the beds were comfortable, and overall place was clean. We loved sitting out on the porch as the smell of grapes from the nearby winery wafted through the air. I would definitely recommend this place to any of my friends.

Owner's Response: Thank you Catherine for your kind words both here online and in our guestbook. We are always more than pleased when our guests enjoy themselves. Even though we live next door to the property, we allow our guests total privacy. By the way Catherine, you remarked in our guestbook about loving our bedspreads. I don't usually promote websites but both spreads were from Zulily. Thanks so much for posting your review!

Another wonderful stay

  • 5 of 5

My husband, mother in law, and I really enjoyed another quiet and peaceful weekend in North East, thanks to the Dingfelders. We brought our dogs and they looked like they enjoyed their stay, as well. We can't wait to come back and take another break from our hectic lives!

Very nice place

  • 5 of 5

Everything you need is here, the place is immaculate. It seems like it was just all re-done, the beds are really nice too. Having full bathrooms at each end is a big plus. Great fire pit outside and top of the line cornhole game in the shed. You have to learn to love the trains which we did and they won't bother you.

We came for the golfin and the wineries, we didn't catch any fish ;)

The owners are nice people, made sure everything was ok, that we had all we needed and gave us great tips for places to go in the area

Great place for families

  • 5 of 5

The Guesthouse was perfect for our kids ages 2 and 4, and my dad who uses a cane. Has both a walk in shower and a tub. A little bit of a drive into Erie, but neat driving through the vineyards. Trains went by to the kids' delight, otherwise it was quiet. Marie and Alan were very welcoming and available when needed. We will definitely stay here again next time we come to Erie.

Located in Historic North East, Pennsylvania, 1/4 mile south of Route 20, 5 minutes from downtown North East, 30 minutes from Erie Airport. Also about 5 minutes to the Moorheadville Airport: grass strip. Surrounded by grape vineyards on private, large lot. Awesome sunsets. Short distance from Lake Erie Beaches, Wineries, Presque Isle Downs Casino, Peak'n Peak Ski Resort, Lake Chautauqua, Lake Erie Speedway, Bayfront Convention Center, Tom Ridge Center, Presque Isle Peninsula, Waldameer Amusement Part, Splash Lagoon Water Park and more. Railroad tracks border the north side of the property, separated by a large field. Some days the trains are busy, some days we don't see them at all. If you are a train buff, the Lake Shore Railway Museum is just downtown. Minutes to Walmart, Giant Eagle, Bob Evans, Applebee's, Taco Bell and others. Local yearly attractions include the North East Cherry Festival and Wine Festival.
