Great Charleston house

  • 5 of 5

If you know Charleston you will love this house. Perfectly Charleston eclectic. Did you forget anything when packing to get here? This residence had it for you. We found nothing lacking any amenity needed was available. Cleanliness is foremost to us when renting a residence. The Charleston house was very clean and well kept. Be sure to research the history of George Flynn very interesting for our stay. Bill & Linda

Beautiful home! Decorated impeccably.

  • 5 of 5

This home was amazing. Close to everything. The dining in Charleston is great. We tried Hyman's and Fleet Landing...both an awesome experience. The owner is very accommodating and responded to our questions and concerns in a timely fashion. I will recommend this property to family and friends. Can't wait to come back!

A Very Cozy Home!

  • 5 of 5

The house was exactly as described. Due to Hurricane Irma, we had emailed the owner regarding damage and if property would be available. Instead of an email, we received a phone call letting us know what they had experienced and that we would be able to stay giving us a personal touch. The location was close to everything that you would need! The home provided hand soap, shampoo, conditioner and even a dog treat in the bathroom. Extra items such as matches & air freshener were also appreciated! There is a huge fenced in back yard with a picnic table and a table with chairs. We would recommend this property to friends and definitely stay again!

Mold problems in air conditioning and bugs

  • 1 of 5

We stayed from August 9th and left the 14th. I have written the owners and hoped for an answer. Anyway, this is a cute house in a convenient location. However, it's obvious that the former owner (deceased)'s things need to be cleaned out...old spices, towels, and more. The back door should be replaced as there is light coming through (and probably the roaches). The most bothersome thing was the black stuff around each vent in the ceiling. Perhaps a maintenance of the air conditioner is in order and may take care of it but what was supposed to be a family vacation had to be cut short as my husband is allergic to mold. It was nice that they allow pets and our little dog was fine there. The house is decorated attractively and the furniture was nice. The beds were comfortable which is important. Television in the bedroom wouldn't recognize channels (a new tv) and so it wasn't usable; my son was a bit unhappy about that. It wouldn't take a whole lot to make this a nice place to stay. It's a shame. I really don't like not giving good reviews. Called about the tv, but heard back when we were on the road leaving. Said they'd called multiple times (no message was ever left on my phone until that day). There's more but I really don't care to get into it.

Served its purpose

  • 4 of 5

The house was nice and the bed we used was good. The backyard was good except for the overgrowth (be careful of the poison ivy) and the mosquitoes, and had to block two of the gates better so our dog wouldn't run out of them. Also had some issues with a few roaches scurrying around, ants, and some tiny bugs in the kitchen that kept reappearing. Did a thorough wipe down before use. Kitchen has just about every gadget you need for cooking, and three different coffee makers. Washing machine worked great but there's no dryer. The weather outside is hot enough that it will dry your clothes pretty fast so no worries there. Didn't know where the garbage was supposed to go (there's no outside can) so had to leave the bags on the back porch *sorry if that wasn't where they went, we looked everywhere!* Also didn't have any paper towels or dish soap, or a sponge to wash the dishes so we bought some at the grocery to use and made do. Toiletries and towels available for use, thank you. Easy access to anywhere you want to go as long as you have a car. Neighborhood is quiet. A little more info about how to use the tv and some other creature comforts would have been nice but overall it served well for our trip and we were happy with the place for the Holiday. Thank you for letting us use your space for the holiday. We had a great time.
