About Chuck Hunt

Chuck's family has owned the farm property for nearly 100 years. We built our home around an existing home in 2005 to raise our growing family -- three girls including a set of twins. We built the barn and riding facilities in 2007 to run a riding program for children and adults. Today, we are living in Vermont for Jane's work.

Chuck Hunt purchased this farmhouse in 1997

Why Chuck Hunt chose Berkshires

With plenty of room for family, close to wonderful cultural, sports and outdoor attractions with many choices for dining out, our property is the perfect site to relax year round. Whether visiting Williams College for a prospective student or as an alum, many people make Williamstown an annual destination.

What makes this farmhouse unique

We have an above ground outdoor pool with a large deck with breathtaking views, a large great room with a pool table, a functional kitchen with a SubZero refrigerator, dishwasher. Our country dining room has a large table with access through french doors to a wrap around deck. The great room has a working fireplace. Our rural setting allows you to watch the neighbor's cows graze, have a game of wiffleball or frisbee and we have an awesome hill for sledding in the winter. Every room in our home is light-filled and the many windows offer wonderful views of the surrounding mountain ranges.

Fantastic house!

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time staying at the house in Williamstown. The house is huge and nicely accommodated our large family. The house was fully stocked with lots of extra towels and very clean. The kids loved swimming in the pool and running around the yard. I would recommend this house to any large group!

3 Family Vacation

  • 5 of 5

We arrived with 6 adults and 4 kids under 6 yrs of age. We couldn't have been more satisfied with our stay if we tried. As much work as it is with kids, the arrangements here made it that much easier from the wide open windows watching the kids play. The BBQ was used plentifully and living room used for play extensively. The chickens and the cows roaming nearby were a definite plus. Once the kids went to bed, the adults played on the beautiful deck and overnight stars with nothing but trees surrounding us. Just beautiful. Thank you Chuck and Jane for a great stay! Can't wait to visit again!

It was great to go hiking and come back to a dip in the pool. Watching the kids play and run around in the big open yard was wonderful. Mary

We had a wonderful family week in a beautiful locations full of cultural and outdoor activities

  • 5 of 5

We had a three generation family gathering--nine people from 7 to the sixties--and we had a wonderful time. The house was more than large enough large and the location of the house is great with beautiful views in all directions. We had delightful evenings on the outside porch which is on two sides of the house. The pool was great for our 7 and 9 year olds. Williamstown is close to extensive cultural activities, good for kids as well as adults, and hiking with varied challenges. If we had a complaint, it was that the house was under furnished. But we would be happy to return.

Beautiful Family Friendly Farmhouse - Very Clean with Comfortable Beds

  • 5 of 5

Cobble Hill Farm and the lovely farmhouse was used to house interns from the American Junior Golf Association. It worked out perfectly for their crew. Kudos to the owner and staff for providing such an excellent home away from home for these young people.

A Wonderful Place to Stay with a Crowd!

  • 5 of 5

Our stay here could not have been any better! We gathered together for a 40th anniversary celebration for my parents over New Year’s weekend and it was a lovely experience. With 8 adults and 8 children under 7y.o, this house magically met all of our needs. The open feeling of the house allowed for the kids to play, the adults to hang out and all of us to just be together without being on top of one another! There was plenty of space for everyone to sleep comfortably which was a gift with this many young children. The in-law suite downstairs was a big bonus with more sleeping spaces and the pool table. With most of the bedrooms, kitchen and bathrooms on one main level, the house was also very accessible for my father who has mobility issues. The kitchen was in good condition and allowed for cooking for a big crowd. The dining room table would not have accommodated all of us but we did a kid’s early dinner and a grown up dinner each night so it worked well for us.

The house was clean with plenty of fresh linens and towels when we arrived. The directions and information provided by the owners were very helpful. The house is in a great location and the hills out front allowed for a great sledding area for our crew. The cows were also a big hit!

The only suggestion I would have for travelers with small children (crawlers or new walkers) would be to bring a couple of gates for the stairs. This will allow everyone to roam more freely!

We would recommend this house to friends and family without hesitation and will certainly keep it in mind for future family gatherings!
