About Laura Parker
We are two families from Santa Cruz who purchased the condo together 20 years ago as a vacation home.
Laura Parker purchased this Condo in 2001
Why Laura Parker chose Kirkwood
Ski-in/Ski-out. Park your car and enjoy your time on the mountain. Kirkwood consistently receives the most snow (averaging 600" per year) in the Tahoe area and is second only to Heavenly in elevation. This creates the best skiing conditions in the Tahoe area. The view from the condo is breathtaking. We bought the condo in 2001 after skiing for many years throughout Tahoe. We think Kirkwood is the best!
What makes this Condo unique
Great views of the mountains and a short walk to the ski-lifts.

One of the nicest views in the village
The condo is a corner unit on the penultimate floor, facing the Mountain, with unobstructed views. Open the window or glass balcony door, and the living room fills with the sound of the creek below. Quite peaceful.
Like many condos built decades ago, the layout is a bit cavernous. But the bedrooms are spacious, the mattresses are high quality, and the furnishings are clean and simple. The owner is responsive and detailed. WiFi is reliable. We would stay here again.
Awesome Location, Tons of Room
Great time to spend with family. Amazing views of the mountain, definitely ski in/out. Big living space accomodations.
Great Place; Challenging Parking
The unit is very nicely maintained and comfortable. The owner has great instructions and is very guest oriented. The place is an easy trek to the Village, whether going to and from the lifts on skis or walking to dinner in the evening. We also had a tasty meal at 7800. The only downside is parking. For whatever reason, perhaps because there was so much snow, parking was a challenge.
Literally ski in to the lobby
We had a collective 300+ days at Kirkwood in our group, and only a few of is ever stayed at the resort. It was amazing- rousing from a deep sleep to the sounds of avalanche control is an excellent way to start the day.
The views from the windows are of chairs 1, 11 & 10, and to the left it's Whiskey Run.
Staying at the resort is so clutch- no early trek in from South Lake, not having to change in the parking lot (mud) at the end of the day, and eating your own food and drinking your own beer- saves a good amount of cash.
The owner is responsive and communication is good. The condo itself is well maintained with a good, open kitchen, comfy couches and beds. The fact that it has three baths is a huge bonus. My only gripe is that I wish the cable service was HD (it was nfl championship weeekend as there was also a Warriors game).
But really, we were there to enjoy the snow, as this place fit the bill perfectly.
5 Star Accommodations @ Kirkwood
We've stayed in a number of places in Kirkwood, and this was by far the best experience we've had, in no small part to the host, who was extremely responsive and detail oriented. I would highly recommend this place to others, and plan to stay there again :)
Fourth of July
Great condo for exploring Kirkwood over the 4th! The mountain biking and hiking trails are right out the front door. We had a large group renting multiple condos and everyone could do their own thing - fishing, swimming, hiking, biking or just hanging out.
We are about 30 miles south of Lake Tahoe.
