Easy access to everything Cardiff has to offer. Principality Stadium and Cardiff City Stadium, Cardiff Castle, Music and Concert Venues, a wide range of restaurants, bars, nightspots and cool cocktail lounges.
Cardiff Bay and The Barrage with the Welsh Millennium Centre, Wales national home for the performing Arts and home of Welsh National Opera. The Dr Who Experience, Mermaid Quay, Techniquest and a wide selection of restaurants, bars and cafes.
The apartment is close to the Taff Trail running alongside the River Taff which is a popular walking and cycle path providing exceptional views and scenery over 55 miles between Cardiff Bay and Brecon. Bring your own bikes and leave them in the secure bike shed or hire them when you get here.
Canton where the apartment is located is a multi cultural area near to the City Centre and is very convenient for all the Cardiff attractions, shops, restaurant and pubs. Speaking of which - the apartment itself is in an architect designed conversion of a pub dating back to 1898 and a small part of the building has been retained as a pub - The Lansdowne. The pub serves real ales, Weiss beers, good cider and proper pub food. It also won the prestigious CAMRA Cardiff pub of the year in 2014 and 2015. Generally you will not hear any noise from the pub - the only time you might hear some noise is if there is a Wales Rugby match on! If you have not experienced a Welsh Rugby match in Wales before, we would recommend you get stuck in and soak up the atmosphere!
Canton is also home to the HQ for arty folk - Chapter Arts Centre - which describes itself as " an ambitious, multi-artform cultural space that presents and produces international art, performance and film alongside a dynamic social space"
The area offers a lot due to its multi-cultural society. The cocktail of cultures makes it one of the most vibrant and diverse in Cardiff, which is good news for those who like to eat out. Whether you're into dim sum, fancy a taste of British aka @fish & chips, or Mediterranean or Asian floats your boat, Canton has it all.
For you day to day needs there is a small corner shop about a minute's walk away and a larger Co-Operative supermarket about a 5 minute walk away where you should be able to buy pretty much everything you need for your stay.
