About Billie

Retired owners who love Labrador Retrievers, Montana Quarter Horses, and Tennessee Walking Horses are addicted to skiing, hiking, Montana cuisine, and beautiful mountains! We're on site all winter and much of the summer to ensure your stay exceeds your expectations. What's not to love about Cedar Creek Condos and Big Sky, Montana? We don't know!

Billie purchased this condo in 2011

Why Billie chose Big Sky

We bought our first condo at Cedar Creek in 1998, after discovering the great slopes, hiking trails, and conveniently located 'everything' we desired. When Unit 15 became available, we bought and totally remodeled it three years ago--it gets new linens each season, has beautiful ceramic tile and wood flooring, tile countertops and back splashes, and a bar where you can sit and aggravate the cook. Cedar Creek is attractive, affordable, and within walking distance to just about everywhere. There is bus service from the parking lot entrance to the resort area and to the town center and meadow village, during the winter. This unit is suitable for children but is not wheelchair accessible. As much as we love pets, the HOA rules say guests can't bring them to the complex.

What makes this condo unique

Lone Peak can be seen from the living room and master bedroom of Unit 15. After a full day on the slopes at either Big Sky Resort or Moonlight Basin---where you spend your time skiing, not waiting in lift lines---you can kick back in one of the electronically operated recliners and enjoy beautiful Lone Peak, from the living room window. Be forewarned....after a day on the slopes, hiking the beautiful mountain trails, fly fishing in our rivers, horseback riding, or a day of rafting, you may drift off with visions of Big Sky's peaks, and spend the night in a comfortable recliner ;-) while dreaming of getting to stay longer.

Perfect Condo in a Perfect Location

  • 5 of 5

As soon as we walked into Unit 15 we felt like we had arrived home. We've never seen such a clean, beautifully presented unit. It had everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay, and more besides.

The kitchenware was all brand new and included everything you needed to cook with (which we did a lot). The reclining sofas are just amazing, so comfortable you may not want to leave them to go skiing! My personal highlight was the bed - we're from the UK but if I lived in America I would definitely have been ordering the exact same bed for my house.

The jewel in the crown is the view from the lounge and the master bedroom. It is just breathtaking and the pictures don't come close to doing it justice. We arrived in the dark and our jaws dropped when we opened the blinds the next morning.

Billie is very generous with supplies; toilet roll, kitchen roll, dishwasher tablets, washing detergent etc. Again there is everything you could possibly need and more than enough for your entire stay. You never quite know what will and won't be included in a unit but in unit 15 you don't have to worry about bringing your own supplies.

Cedar Creek condos are perfectly located and are super quiet. The buildings house 8 units each and are incredibly peaceful. You're far enough out of the centre to guarantee a restful nights sleep but still have very easy access to the slopes and the mountain base. You can ski out in the morning - this involves a short walk and two slowish lifts. We found it slightly quicker to catch the shuttle bus which runs from about 10 steps outside the unit and gets you to the base 5 minutes after the lifts open. You can ski in, which is what we did most days (expect when we deserved a well earned beer!) and is super convenient.

Billie and Ed have been amazing - patiently and throughly answering the multitude of questions before we arrived and continuing to help us out during our stay. It's been a delight dealing with them.

We've had a great trip and were so sad to be leaving our second home. We will be back some day and there is no doubt that we will return to unit 15. It's been perfect!

Owner's Response: Paul, Catherine, & Andy: My goodness....that was a delightful review about your stay in Unit 15. It's rewarding when our guests find that their findings exceed their expectations for a stay in a condo. I agree that the view of Lone Peak Mountain from the living room and master bedroom are breath taking! We often think of moving over there. I hope by now you are in China and are having more wonderful experiences. You're so smart to travel around while you're young. We spent the greater part of a year visiting other countries and have always been grateful for that opportunity. I sincerely hope that our intersections in life cross again someday! Please send us a travel report about your adventures. Thanks again and best wishes! Billie

Great comfortable stay

  • 5 of 5

The condo was very comfortable and really well stocked, especially the kitchen. Logistics were super easy and love just having a door code to use and not worry about losing a key on the ski mountain! Getting to the lift can be a bit tricky, have to do some walking up the road and then pushing yourself down to the white otter lift. We never tried the shuttle, but it seems easy enough.

Owner's Response: John: Thanks for taking time to tell potential guests about your experiences staying in Unit 15 at Cedar Creek. Your comments answer questions that others have about the logistics involved in getting from here to there....wherever the "there" happens to be. I sincerely hope we have the privilege and pleasure of hosting you again sometime in the future. Billie

Great property, amazing views, wonderful owner

  • 5 of 5

I was in contact with Billie before we arrived, asking about groceries, lift tickets, etc. I received great responses and a lot of help. When we arrived, the property is better than the photos. Clean, spacious and comfortable. The distance, walking, to the slopes is about .6 miles, if the truck-drawn shuttle is running, it will pick you up after about .25 walking. The view out the window is directly at Lone Peak, and is a postcard view.

Billie and Ed were kind enough to meet us and go to a restaurant and get to know them, something unusual for a VRBO rental, but I think is a real perk, knowing who you are renting from, and letting them know who you are. Everything you need to live a week is in the condo, kitchen and bath, with thick towels. A very comfortable bed. Would we go back? You betcha.

Owner's Response: James & Joan: Thanks so much for reviewing Unit 15 and telling others about your stay. We know every guest has options about where to book and we are blessed you chose to book our unit. Big Sky Resort has the biggest--and best in our opinion--skiing in America....with runs that are suitable for first-time skiers to the most advanced skiers who go straight to the top of Lone Peak! Ed and I really enjoyed meeting you...getting to know our guests is such a pleasure for us. We enjoyed going to The Riverhouse...that is our favorite place to place like it...and it's affordable for big families. Again, thanks for staying with us! Billie

Great Ski Vacation Home!

  • 5 of 5

My family enjoyed our stay in this Condo very much. It is clean, well-decorated, and fully equipped. The kitchen has all the possible utensils and cooking essentials one may need to make full meals for the entire family. Both master and hall bathrooms are stocked with all the amenities. All appliances are in perfect working conditions. The living room is absolutely cozy and lovely while relaxing on the recliner leather sofa looking at beautiful Lone Mountain Peak from the window.

The Condo building is conveniently situated right at the free shuttle stop which is just few steps thru the parking lot. We take the free shuttle to and from the ski resort base which is only a short few minutes ride. The skiing in Big Sky mountain resort is A+++. We had skied in many west coast states, Canada, and Alps. And we will definitely come back.

Billie and Ed are the best host, very helpful and friendly. The communication is excellent. Their responses to our questions are always prompt and make sure we have everything we need.

I would highly recommend this Condo. Thank you Billie and Ed for a wonderful family ski vacation.

Cedar Creek Unit 15, A Terrific Condo for a Week of Skiing in Big Sky!

  • 5 of 5

My husband, myself and two grown sons spent a wonderful week skiing in Big Sky with Unit 15 being our home base. The unit is a short walk to the ski base area, but each afternoon we left our skis at the base of the mountain at the resort's ski valet at no cost and picked them up the next morning so the walk was no problem. Billie and Ed, the owners, were wonderful, thoughtful hosts--they made us feel like family! The condo is very clean, in very good condition and equipped perfectly. We loved the boot dryers and used them every night. I also appreciated the well equipped kitchen since we ate most of our meals in. We did not have a car for the week and never really needed one. We would definitely rent this unit again!

Owner's Response: I'm so happy the condo was available for your Big Sky trip! It was fun going out to eat at The River House....and to see how much Jackson enjoyed the first and second dinner! The boys reminded me so much of James and Jason, when they were those ages. I appreciate your mentioning that you used the ski-check at the Resort, for free. And I'm pleased you put the boot dryers to good use. We try to think of everything our guests might enjoy having. I hope you guys get to visit us again one of these days. Summer is just as beautiful and adventure-filled as is the winter. Billie
