A beautifully secluded countryside retreat set at the foot of the Long Mynd in the heart of the South Shropshire Hills. The recently and tastefully renovated detatched Granary comprises of two double bedrooms, two bathrooms, a kitchen and living room spread over two floors with stunning views all round.

The property is ideally situated in an exceptionally private and secluded area of natural outstanding beauty, yet the Granary is also just a short 5-10min car journey to the villages of Craven Arms and Church Stretton and 15-25min to the historic market towns of Ludlow and Shrewsbury. Guests can therefore choose how much or little exposure to civilization as they please!

A visitor pack has been carefully assembled offering restaurant and local pub recommendations, a selection of walks as well as local visitor attractions and amenities.

A beautiful hidden gem in Shropshire!

A perfect getaway, set in the most beautiful grounds, The Granary is exceptional in the standard of accommodation provided. Incredibly well equipped and furnished to a high spec and taste. My Mum and I spent two nights here, great location for exploring the surrounding area, we took trips into Ludlow, Shrewsbury, Church Stretton and upon recommendation from Nicola, Much Wenlock which was a real treat.

Upon arrival we were welcomed with some basic provisions and a bottle of fizz which was such a lovely touch. Nothing was too much trouble to sort and between Nicola and Jamie we were looked after so well but equally left alone to enjoy our stay. Highlights include watching the woodpeckers feeding as you are having your breakfast! the amazing rolling countryside views and the beds which were sooooo comfy!! We will sure to be back!

Owner's Response: Sara and her Mum were delightful guests to host and who left the property as they found it which was very much appreciated. I do hope that they will visit us again one day and enjoy more of what Shropshire has to offer.

We visit a lot of cottages and this undoubtedly has the best furnishings, the best views, the best walks and we would highly recommend Nicky and Jamie’s property.

Great property in a beautiful location, well appointed with everything we needed.

We had a lovely relaxing holiday, thanks to the owners for the food treats waiting for us much appreciated. Watching the family of woodpeckers and other birds on the feeders was an endless source of entertainment. Would highly recommend this property and the location.

Amazing Holiday

This is our second time here and it’s wonderful. The Granary is always extremely clean and a wonderful home from home. With stunning views and excellent walks on the door step, it’s a tranquel setting for an amazing holiday. If you’re looking for secluded peace and quiet, this is the place to come. It’s lovely watching the green rolling hills and wild life go by, from the comfort of the window. The owners are lovely, helpful and friendly. We will definitely be back again. Thank you for a great holiday.

Just the best hideaway!

So...second time at The Granary in two months. Perfectly snowbound the first time but...this visit was just as perfect in different ways. The beautiful surroundings and lighter evenings made for a most relaxing few days. The Granary has everything and Nicky and Nick are so friendly and welcoming.

Watching the wildlife whilst eating breakfast doesn’t get much better...the walks around the beautiful woodland are amazing.

The worst thing about The Granary is trying to keep it a secret!

-We love dogs and clean well trained ones are welcome but by prior arrangement only. They must be kept downstairs at all times away from the carpets, beds and sofas. Retractable gates have now been installed on the staircase at the bottom (for pets) and top (for small children).
- Families, walkers and cyclists are all welcome but are reminded to keep mud outside the property. Bicycles can be stored in the garage.
-On your approach and when exiting the house guests will need to drive through a neighboring farm property. Please could you take care to drive extremely slowly as children play there.
- No shoes upstairs
- Finally, please treat this property with the respect it deserves.
