Wow !!! Perfect
The Granary was out of this world. The scenery was stunning and the cottage was beautifully furnished and warm.We had a delicious cake waiting for us and some fizz. The hosts were very welcoming and helpful. We had some very rainy days but always knew we had the fantastic cottage to go back to .I really cannot wait to go back again very soon.
So pleased you enjoyed your stay at the Granary and we would be delighted to have you back anytime and thank you so much for leaving the place absolutely immaculate - impossible to tell that you had stayed in it a whole week, it looked so spotless! Very much appreciated.
The Granary at Hawkhurst Sept 2019
Quiet, well kept and well equipped property nestled in the beautiful Shropshire countryside. Welcoming hosts ensured that we had everything that we needed.
Thank you John for your lovely review and for being such appreciative guests. Please come again and fingers crossed that you have some decent weather next time.
Peace and tranquillity
The Granary is a beautifully converted property in a secluded and idyllic setting down a country track. It sits a few metres away from the owners’ house amid carefully tended, rolling, green lawns and with dramatic views of the Long Mynd and a wooded valley where sparrow hawks soar above the tree tops. Upstairs (no dogs allowed) is a bedroom with a huge super king bed, a shower room with loo and a living room with huge sofas and lovely views. Plenty of information about the area is in the drawers. Downstairs is another bedroom and shower room and a separate loo. Also downstairs is a kitchen/diner with everything you could need and from where you can relax and watch the woodpecker, pheasant and jays enjoy the bird feeders. We walked for miles from the Granary to the top of the Long Mynd and within a short car ride are dozens of beautiful walks as well as stately homes, castles and the lovely town of Church Stratton with its shops, Co-op and antique emporium. Craven Arms has a supermarket called Tuffins which we liked. Ludlow is fascinating too. We adored our relaxing week in the fresh air of the Shropshire Hills and can’t wait to return.
Really enjoyed our stay at the Granary, Nicola was a super host checking we had everything we needed and then leaving us to enjoy our stay. Do hope we can visit again.
We spent 8 nights at The Granary and couldn't have been happier. The property is at least as good as the descriptions and photos show. Nicky was wonderful and went out of her way to make us feel welcome and to help us to have a great stay. Also the location is beautiful and very close to some amazing towns and villages.
Our second stay at the Granary at Hawkhurst was all that we had hoped for. The location is idyllic and the silence is noticeable.
The property is beautifully presented and has everything needed to make it feel a true holiday "home".
Nicola and Nick, our hosts, were welcoming and readily available if needed.
All in all, a wonderful place to spend a few days out of the busy south of England, where we live
