My wife and I have recently retired and are now living nearby. We have owned properties in Whistler for over 20 years, and are now making up for lost time, having never been ski bums when young.

Why Rick or Ellie Bryant chose Whistler

We bought in The Aspens because it is simply the best ski-in ski-out property in Whistler. The unit is spacious and well-equipped. There are excellent on-site amenities, it's a short walk or free shuttle bus to the village, but is also much quieter and more intimate than the village itself.

What makes this condo unique

Leave your skis or board with the ski valet, relax in one of the 3 hot tubs, sip a cocktail on your private balcony or curl up in front of a gas fire, looking out over the mountain. Choose from over 50 restaurants or make a meal in your fully equipped kitchen. What's not to love?

Great Location - Great Views

Great Vacation, great unit! Rick and Ellie provide a fantastic spot to relax and enjoy! Bed was very comfortable! Unit has everything you need and is well appointed and very clean! Aspens continues to be my favorite spot - simple ski check, ski in / ski out, easy walk to village. Bring a pair of boots to walk down the ski run to village. The gas fireplace heats the unit in a hurry! Enjoy the views of the slopes, skiers and pools. Will defiantly rent this unit again! Also note its on the 3rd floor and close (couple units away) to elevator and stairs, so limited ski boot walking. Perfect location facing out to pools. Rick and Ellie are great to respond to inquires! Renting from them proved simple and easy. Cheers!

Comfortable, cozy and clean condo!

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at the Aspens. Rick's condo had everything we needed to feel like home. It was nicely furnished and very clean. We loved that there was a ski valet and that we can walk right to the slopes! Thank you, Rick, for a great first experience in Whistler!

Great clean condo, great location!

Loved this property, very cozy and clean, fit 3 adults comfortably. Owners were very helpful and responsive to all inquiries. Location is great, ski in/out at the base of Blackcomb and just steps to the shuttle which goes to Whistler Village. Would definitely stay at this property again and highly recommend it to others.

We have been staying at the Aspens Complex for 10 years and enjoy the "ski in and ski out," feature.

This unit was very nicely maintained and upgraded with comfortable living room furniture, remodeled kitchen. The owner's had 2 large flat screen T.V.'s in living room & the bedroom. My only problem was the bed and pillows. The mattress and box-spring had very little support and was not comfortable. The pillows need upgrading to have 2 quality "soft or down," pillows. I would highly recommend staying here if a comfortable bed is not a high priority. Maybe the owner's will upgrade this next year and then their mountain home would be perfect. We saved $1000 by booking through VRBO & these owners, rather than Resort Quest Whistler, which we normally go through.

Owner's Response: While we always appreciate honest feedback, we were nevertheless disappointed to receive this review. We always try to ensure our guests are comfortable. While the unit comes stocked with 7 pillows of varying softness and fill, we will change the pillows at the earliest opportunity - probably mid-March - and will check out the bed ourselves during the off season, with a view to changing it if necessary. We did also reach out to several recent guests to obtain their opinions and below are extracts of our note and their responses: - Our Note We have just received a review of our unit in The Aspens which included the following comment: - “The mattress and box-spring had very little support and was not comfortable. The pillows need upgrading to have 2 quality "soft or down," pillows. I would highly recommend staying here if a comfortable bed is not a high priority.” We are disappointed to have this feedback, but need to know if our property needs improvement. We would appreciate it if you would let us know if you echo these concerns. Responses Received “Must be a matter of taste. I thought the pillow were great and my back felt much better sleeping there than in my own bed. Maybe you stick a couple of different kind of pillows in the closet as an option for people like this?” “I thought the mattress was perfectly fine but I do agree about getting better softer down pillows.” “We thought the bed and linens were very comfortable. We also appreciated the nice towels that weren't thin and cheap, all the dishes matched, nice cookware, fully stocked and CLEAN.” “My husband and I had a comfortable and enjoyable stay at your condo. I thought the bed was very comfortable. I'm 5'3" tall and 125 lbs, so I don't think I need much support. However, the pillows were soft, but a little too high (too much filling), even for a side sleeper.”

Fantastic ski in ski out condo

This is a great condo, very clean, comfortable and homely. It's steps away from the base of Blackcomb mountain so great for early ski starts, also very convenient to return to the condo for lunch. The condo is very well equipped for cooking and dining in. There were plenty of clean towels and toiletries in the bathroom. The bed was very comfortable. There was also the biggest bedroom TV I've ever seen!

The condo is convenient for everything, there's a handy shuttle bus stops nearby and runs to the village centre regularly.

We had a hire car so used the underground parking which was quite expensive however this is beyond the control of Rick and Ellie and to be honest, if you are only staying in the area, a car isn't really necessary as it is only a short walk into town.

If we come back to Whistler, we''ll definitely book this condo again.

Cancellation Policy: Initial deposit is non-refundable, but may be used as a credit towards a final payment on a future reservation, provided the future reservation is within 1 year following the cancelled reservation. In the event of cancellation following final payment, we will attempt to re-rent the property. Net proceeds of any re-rental will be reimbursed, less a 10%/$75 administration fee.
