SnowDrifters Guest House has been a dream of ours for many years, as we both grew up and lived in the Rocky Mountains, we knew that the mountains would always be our home. We have lived and played in these mountains for over 10 years now. Revelstoke has a warm sense of community, incredible skiing and laid back lifestyle that made us choose it as the perfect place to pursue our dream. We look forward to meeting you and sharing our experiences, as well as being a part of yours. Thank you for considering Snowdrifters Guest House as your home away from home.
Helen and Andrew Sheppard purchased this apartment in 2010
Revelstoke is a charming town that has loads of outdoor opportunities year round. In the winter months there is amazing access to cross country and alpine skiing, snowshoeing and snowmobiling. The summer months are great for hiking , mountain biking, water sports and riding the "Pipe Coaster" at RMR . Whether it's apres ski your after or just winding down with your family at the local aquatic center there is fun for everyone.
Our Guest House -2 bdrm suite is unique with what we are able to offer our guests. With our private entrance and exclusive same party rental you have both the privacy of a suite and the opportunity to obtain valuable local knowledge from your hosts.
Thank you for your hospitality. We appreciated how comfortable and clean your suite is. We are sure to be back soon!
We stayed in September for 3 nights. Our host Helen was very friendly and helpful with lots of ideas about places to hike and visit. The basement suite has been beautifully finished with some lovely features. Kitchen very well stocked and if we needed anything extra we just had to ask. Location is walking distance to the riverside trails and short drive to ski hill. Very quiet at night which made for a good night's sleep.
On leaving for our next destination Helen gave us some fruit from the trees in her garden.
Our party of four had a great stay. Thank you Helen for making us feel so at home.
We stayed in early August 2016 for two nights. The hosts Helen and Andrew were very friendly and had lots of great tips about local attractions. The basement suite is beautiful with great features. The kitchen is well stocked and everything seems to be in excellent condition. The location is on a quiet residential street that is a short drive from downtown, a short walk to the riverside trail, and less than ten minutes away from the ski hill. Our family of five had a great experience here.
My girlfriend drove in from Kelowna and I drove in from Calgary. We met to craft over a weekend in the beautiful mountains. Helen was more than accommodating of our schedules and beyond friendly! The suite was gorgeous. Spacious. Airy. Clean. Comfortable. The décor was the cherry on top! My girlfriend and I had an absolute blast crafting, dining, drinking wine and spending a relaxing weekend away. We will definitely be back. Thanks Helen!
My family of four stayed 5 nights this summer at the Snowdrifters Guest House, and it was phenomenal! The basement apartment suite was bright, comfortable, immaculate, well laid out, and fabulously decorated! The kitchen is well stocked and had everything we needed and they even borrowed us their personal blender for our stay. Both Helen and her husband Andrew were very accommodating and made our stay so much better than we had hoped for. We were in Revelstoke visiting family but would have loved to spend more time getting to know Helen and her family. Our two boys (9 and 11 years) enjoyed their own bedroom with twin beds and having wi-fi for their devices and satellite! I loved having a washer and dryer in the unit to keep up on clothes after a long stay. The Sheppard’s boys were so kind and caring with our boys and loved to go play with them in the mornings before we set out for the day. Our boys sometimes wanted to stay and hang out more than they wanted to go. There was plenty of good advice on sights to see and places to go. This was a great location close to our family but also to the grocery store, city center, and the mountain resort. This location is perfect for any season and the hospitality of our hosts was outstanding. Thank you Helen, Andrew, and boys for everything! Hope to meet you again.
My husband and I spent two nights in this great rental. Wish we could have stayed longer. Helen and Andrew are great and recommended some great places to eat and things to do. The condo is immaculate. Even though it is a "basement" condo, you don't feel claustrophobic. The kitchen was well equipped (although we ate out the two nights that we were there, thanks to Helen and Andrew's recommendation), the beds comfy, and the bathroom was well stocked. This condo is really geared towards skiers with boot dryers and other ski storage, but it's great for any time of year. An extra plus was the free long distance to the US. We would definitely recommend this condo to our friends and will probably go back ourselves! Thanks for a great stay.
We recently had the pleasure to stay at Snowdrifters Guest House and I can say that Helen and Andrew have thought of everything and are fabulous hosts. The accommodations are comfortable, clean and small touches such as private phone line, wifi , satellite t.v. etc... make this accommodation top notch.
The location is quiet, close to downtown and the greenbelt (which had great walking/biking trails).
We will definitely stay again and highly recommend this accommodation to all.
Our 2 bdrm suite is centrally located for all activities Revelstoke offers. We are also a short drive from two of Canada's National Parks. Mount Revelstoke National Park is a 5.5 km drive from town its a great spot to snowshoe in the winter and hike in the summer. Then there is famous Glacier National Park a 68 km drive from Revelstoke which is known for epic back country skiing and amazing alpine hiking.
