McMinnville House Rental Photos and Description

Welcoming hilltop home on 70 acres. Sleeps 6, large deck, BBQ, pool.

Built in the mid 70s, this was our family's summer home in the United States when vacationing from Rome, Italy - there are 9 kids in the family and given the hot summers in Oregon the pool was definitely a must!

The home is on 70 acres of land, so long walks are definitely possible. It has 3 bedrooms and two bathrooms, accommodating a total of 6 guests: a master bedroom with king bed and en-suite bathroom, a second bedroom with queen bed and a third one with a full bed. The second bathroom is in the hallway and functions as a 'back from the pool' space, as it has direct access to the outside. There is a fireplace in the living room as well as a 50' TV and laptop for checking emails, surfing the net or using Netflix. The kitchen is adjacent to the dining room and is equipped with dishwasher, microwave oven, coffee maker and toaster. The laundry room has washer and dryer, ironing board and iron.

The home features a very large deck with a spectacular view of a vineyard, seating for 20 people and a built-in barbeque.

About David Antinucci

I am the 7th of the 9 Antinuccis (of my generation, of course) and the one who manages the rental activity. I stay in a 'cabin' not far from the vacation rental and am usually available for any information or help the guests might need.

David Antinucci purchased this house in 1975

What makes this house unique

Secluded, 70 acres of land to take walks in, great view of the vineyard from a huge deck with space to sit, chat and eat, and a built-in BBQ. Has a seasonal pool (typically open July until late September) to stay fresh! The center of McMinnville is only 6 miles away, the city limits only 2 miles away. We are in the middle of wine country, convenient to many wineries and tasting rooms.

The view from the deck was beautiful. The outdoor grill was nice. It was remote, but you need to find it during daylight. Pool area was not cleaned up and the pool itself needed cleaning. The pool is 50 yards from the house. The clothes washing machine needs repair or replacing. One pillow case in master bedroom had blood on it and should not have been used. The oven needs cleaning. Couch on back deck needs to be removed. People should know there are chickens wandering the property. Not a bad wine country getaway. Better maintenance would give it a better score.

Owner's Response: Thank you for letting us know about any problems: we would have liked to find out about them while you were staying here, so that we could have addressed them in a timely matter. We found out about the washing machine after your departure from the cleaning lady (who, by the way, has since been replaced). We are sorry about any blood stain on pillow case (we just now find out from you and will be verifying and addressing the matter immediately). The pool is in the middle of fir trees so will generally have some debris in it: one of the "features" of being in the woods :), as are the neighbor's 2 (wild and roaming) chickens, which are in the process of being removed. Thanks for the input!

Beautiful Oregon

  • 5 of 5

First time visit to Oregon and this place was awesome. The home is very comfortable and has everything you need for your stay. The deck and the view of the neighboring vineyard was fantastic. We were able to have all of our meals and daily devotion outside and enjoyed the cool crisp mornings (and the visits from the curious chickens). The owner stopped by once to make sure all of our needs were being met and any questions that we had prior to our arrival were answered promptly. This is a great place to relax and within easy distance to the many surrounding wineries which was the main purpose of our trip.

Hilltop home in wine country

  • 4 of 5

We wanted to visit Oregon Wine Country and found this lovely house that was perfect for our group of four, one couple and two singles. The house was clean and well stocked with spices and staples. The view was outstanding and as pictured in the VRBO photos. We enjoyed having a couple of dinners out on that fabulous deck and enjoying bottles of our Oregon wine of the day. David was fabulous to work with and responsive to any questions we had. He recommended a restaurant on the coast in Lincoln City with a great view and delicious food. Definitely recommend driving to the coast and enjoying the scenery driving the 101. If there WERE ANY negatives about the whole trip - it was that Oregon was unseasonably warm during our stay. Being from the south where it is incredibly hot and humid - everyone has air conditioners. In the Pacific NW - air conditioners are not typically necessary. This house does not have air conditioners. That being said, the house is on a hilltop, there is a lot of shade and a nice breeze. We just shut the curtains during the day to keep sun from warming the house and opened the windows in the evening. Daytime temps were in the 90's (I think rarely happens) and lows at night in the 50's. Great trip and would certainly rent Casa Anticucci again and recommend it to any of my friends.

Lovely property

  • 5 of 5

My friends and I had a wonderful stay in this home. The owner David was so helpful in giving hints of places to eat and wineries to visit. We even got a FREE bottle of wine when we mentioned his name. We may plan a stay there again next year. The location is just so beautiful.

We recently stayed at Casa Antinucci for our sons graduation from Linfield College in McMinnville. There were seven of us and we had plenty of room,we were so glad we did not try to stay in one of the hotels in the area. The house was very clean and the amenities were very nice. David the owner found a very nice balance of giving us our privacy but also I knew he was a phone call away should we need any thing,as it turned out we did not need one thing. We made meals watched movies and celebrated a milestone in our sons life. We would like to come back and enjoy the Wineries that surround this house. We also enjoy the deer that come in the morning and at in the evening around the property. Thank you David

September wedding weekend

  • 5 of 5

I don't know if this review will be enough to express how much we enjoyed this house, the view, the location, and David (the owner), but I will try!

From the beginning David was responsive, helpful and very interesting. This kept going throughout the weekend and even helped a friend fish out some jewelry from the pool after we checked out!

The inside of the house is certainly 70's, but in a very charming way! Comfy beds, clean bathrooms, a great place to get together!

The view is stunning. We had a pre-wedding get together and I think the view along with the deck and outdoor space blew our guests away! The fire pit is a great touch, making you feel even more secluded in nature and like you're really on vacation. We will try to be back for an anniversary trip next year!
