About Dave & Sarah - Owners of Whistler Hideaway

Originally from UK, during our 10 years in Canada we have fallen in love with Whistler. Without doubt, it is the best resort for leisure activities and adventure all year long.

Currently living in the Greater Vancouver area, our Whistler suite is our home away from home. We invite you to come and stay in our home for an unforgettable Whistler experience.

Dave & Sarah - Owners of Whistler Hideaway purchased this studio in 2012

Why Dave & Sarah - Owners of Whistler Hideaway chose British Columbia Mountains

Before purchasing our suite, we had stayed in properties throughout the Whistler area. The Market Pavilion building quickly became our favorite for its location and fantastic rates (and free parking!).

What makes this studio unique

It is a very quiet suite as it faces the beautiful mountains rather than busy Main Street itself. It is located steps from the IGA Marketplace supermarket and liquor store, as well as multiple restaurants and coffee shops. All of the conveniences are on your doorstep.

Excellent location

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed the stay. Next building is IGA grocery store and the unit has a good storage space for ski and snowboard. Clean and comfy facility.

ideal location

  • 4 of 5

Great location in the village with easy access to restaurants and everything else including the lifts by either a 10-15 minute walk through the village or catching the free shuttle around the corner. As mentioned in a few other reviews the studio is dated and definitely shows some wear, though good size for two with a comfortable couch. Would recommend and stay here again.

Great location

  • 5 of 5

Quick 2 night stay in Whistler. Great location in the village with good restaurants as close as 5 minute walk, even more if willing to walk 10 minutes. 10 minute walk to the lifts. Quiet side of the village. Studio is dated and shows wear, but for quick stay and being on the mountain all day, perfect spot for the price! Would definitely return.

Perfect Location and Amenities

  • 5 of 5

Close to everything! We parked our car and didn't see it until we left. Perfect spot for the 3 of us, focused on skiing. Kitchen was great for breakfast and making lunches for the mountain. Clean and tidy. Easy choice for the price.

Great stay, great location

  • 5 of 5

Myself and a friend stayed her for several days. The pullout sleeper was very comfortable, much better than most. The main bed was great as well, with lots of pillows. We would certainly stay there again.

We were skiing, and the walk to the slopes is a bit long. I know we could have taken the shuttle but that also had some walking, etc. It wasn't horrible, but it's a good bit of a hike. I never timed it, but I'm guessing it took us about 10 minutes to walk to the slopes. Other than that walk, the unit is close to everything else you'd want. Grocery store, restaurants (the indian place on the second floor is awesome), bars, etc. All within a few steps.

The unit was clean, and had the dishes, etc that we needed. Also was well stocked with paper towels and plastic trash bags which was awesome. Appliances worked great. Loved that the TV was very nice and had Netflix built in, a plus. Also, the WiFi was very good, also a great bonus.

The hot tub was as the end of the heated hallway, outside, so that made going to and from very easy. Great neighbors sometimes joined. The hot tub truly got HOT, which I certainly liked after a hard day of skiing.

Overall the unit was quiet, no trouble with noise at all, day or night. We were there over a weekend as well as a couple of weeknights.

We were confused as to what the "fob" looked like, but one quick call to the owners resolved that. Very easy once we knew what we were looking for, lol.

We would certainly stay there again. If I were shuttling really small children around, the long walk to the slopes might make me want to use a ski service to store my boots and skis for the kids near the mountain, but other than that, it was perfect. - Thanks!

An Excellent Trip

  • 5 of 5

Thank you to Dave and Sarah for providing your studio condo for our one-week vacation during the USA's President's Week. I can't tell you how much we enjoyed our trip and rest assured there were three sad faces upon having to head back home.

The studio condo worked perfectly for my two kids and I. The location was superb, with the entire village and both Whistler and Blackcomb lifts within walking distance. The town is beautiful and it's no surprise the Olympics made it's way up here. And it's no surprise either that Whistler is always rated #1 for skiing in North America.

Thank you also for adding in the little necessities that are a burden to soap, paper towels, trash bags, spices, etc. It helps.

Thank you as well for the courteous reply and concern when we had trouble with the keys and the previous renters. I appreciate you understanding and seeking remedy. Also, I now know what a FOB looks like, so I'll not have THAT problem again. LOL.

Lastly, thanks for the very affordable price. You made staying in the heart of the village doable and that made such the difference.

I surely hope we can venture up your way again. We're in the southern USA so it's not frequent to go that far to ski, but you certainly made us all glad we did.
