About Bill Swanson

We have always loved boating and exploring the lake as well as the surrounding area! We look forward to the relaxing atmosphere this area offers and all its natural beauty.

Bill Swanson purchased this house in 2012

Why Bill Swanson chose Northeast Washington

We have been coming to Lake Roosevelt with our friends and family for nearly 20 years and love the area and all it has to offer. We finally found our perfect get-away to relax and enjoy....our home away from home and hope you enjoy it and the area as much as we do!

What makes this house unique

You will fall in love with this clean, comfortable, warm home and it's location. Just a few short steps to a beautiful cove and beach. Take your morning coffee and sit at shores edge and enjoy the sunrise on the cliffs over the lake. Watch your children or grandchildren play in the water or dig on the sandy beach. Take a friend for a walk along the shore or cast a line. This home is ideal for one or more families, as it has a kitchen both upstairs and down. Includes a beautiful deck to enjoy the sunshine and views. Watch the Eagles and Ospreys soar by or any other number of birds! Use the binoculars and you might spot a Big-Horned Sheep from the grass or deck. Sit outside at night and view the endless array of stars.

Develop lasting memories with your friends and family!

A trip we did not want to end!

  • 4 of 5

This was our 2nd choice for our family vacation, but changed our minds quick. Bill responded back to our request less the 12 hours after I hit send button. Then Bill followed up with a phone call to get to know us and to see what our plans for the trip was. Bill was easy to talk to and was friendly. When we arrived at the home we had some issues with the door lock working, I gave a call to Bill and he acted fast trying to work it out, in the end my wife was able to get the door lock to work. We really appreciated his effort in finding a solution. My first impression of the home as we pulled in was that I could see myself living in an area like this. It was very quite relaxing atmosphere, great parking for us (we had a Chevy hd 3500 with a boat trailer, Chevy 2500 and a Toyota van and still had spot for one more vehicle easy.) The path way to the front door is wonderful, apple tree on your left which the deer will show up and have a snack. Once inside it was hard to want to leave the house, great set up for families, (if you have young ones I would recommend you bring gates, we did this and it was wonderful not to worry about the stairs,.) One bedroom upstairs with a king, and then the rest where in the basement. Kitchen was nice and open to the living room with a killer view of the lake and back yard. We spent most our time there or on the deck. basement has a small fridge that was nice to have plus a living room to hang out in with a door to the back yard. The walk to the beach is maybe 3 minuets away. Then your in the cove where you can have your boat beached and ready to go.

Gave it 4 stars due to we did need to clean the deck a little and the windows on the deck needed to be cleaned.

Overall we are looking at dates next year to return, it was a great place to have a great time. This home is wonderful and has what you need for a great trip.

Thank you for the use of your home.

The beach was great, and my grandsons and I went down there almost every day. The fishing was excellent. And the house was clean and comfortable and provided us with anything we might need. The view from the second floor porch is spectacular!

All around, a great vacation spot.

A great break from tent camping in bad weather!

  • 5 of 5

A storm rolled in the first night and the power was out until 9 the next morning, another thunderstorm and a wind storm came through later in the week - so GLAD we were not tent camping like we usually do, had no worries at all! We rented 2 boat slips at the marina so boating was easy and had plenty of room in the house for everyone. Too bad Vacation is never long enough!

Wonderful property!

  • 5 of 5

Just got back from Lake Roosevelt. Thoroughly enjoyed staying at this property. Very comfortable with nice amenities. Short walk to the sandy beach which is a inlet/lagoon off the main lake. Great for swimming and felt very private. There were deer in the yard every night and we fed them carrots. The kids loved it! The owner was very accommodating and friendly. I plan on booking this again next year!

Family Fun

  • 5 of 5

Everything was just perfect, well laid out, short walk to water, large dinning table to allow us all to eat together, well provisioned with everything we needed. Bring your own food, drink & clothes, everything else is there. All the little things you don't think about, lotion, towels, spices, simply amazing. Gave our family a vacation full of great memories.

We'll be back baby!

There are many things do in and around the lake. They are listed below in no particular order because they are all fun,

1. Grand Coulee Dam - Take the 'dam tour', which our now teenagers used to love to say when they were young, knowing they weren't normally allowed to use those words :). We are referring to Grand Coulee Dam. They have a lazer light show at night which is fun and they also have a tour where you go down inside the dam with a tour guide...very interesting, informative and AMAZING!!

2. Fort Spokane - This is only a few miles away and there are walking trails and historical information on the fort and the history of the area.

3. Two Rivers Casino - This is a great place to catch some live music, good food and leave some money.

4. Kellers Ferry - Take the ferry loop around and back home through Kettle Falls. This will take a good chunk of the day, but you will see some incredible sights.

5. Antiquing and Exploring - Davenport, Creston, Wilbur and other small communities offer beautiful scenery, peaceful quite drives, many small shops and warm friendly people.

6. Wineries - White Stone Winery is one you should visit even if its just taking a sip of their fine wine.

7. Wildlife Viewing - If boating on the lake keep your eyes open for mountain sheep, wild turkeys, cougars, bears, deer, moose, bobcats, elk, bald eagles and other wildlife.

8. Fishing - We can't forget fishing. This is a great activity and you should have some luck. Ask at the store, marina or stop by Big Wally's for some advice and fish stories. This is a great way to spend part or all of your day with a son, daughter, spouse, friend, relative or simply get some quite alone time.

9. Boating - Ski, tube or float! Great way to cool off or simply find a remote beach to enjoy and relax on.

......the list is endless! add some memories and create your own special list.
