Having looked in Leland a long time for the perfect place, we were fortunate to find this beautiful home in 2012. Well constructed this 2 story home features 9' coffered beamed ceilings and hardwood flooring. It boasts stainless appliances, beautiful quartz counters, central air conditioning and heat as well as an enclosed gas fireplace. Ceiling speakers enhance your enjoyment of flat screen tv's (liv.Rm & mast.Bdrm). Internet & wifi also included. Master bedroom includes a california king bed, walk in closet, tiled bath with walk in shower and beautiful quartz counters.
Queen bedroom looks out to the river behind the home as does the twin bunk bedroom with an extra twin trundle making it easy to sleep 3 or 4 and is fun especially for children. Both queen and twin bedrooms feature walk in closets. The 2 upper baths feature tile floors. A washer and dryer have been added for your convenience for any light washing you may have during your stay. A gorgeous kitchen with new stainless appliances and an island for seating or food preparing can actually seat 9 (6 at dining table and 3 at island). A tiled mudroom prior to entering the kitchen from the back patio offers a place to hang your towels and take off your beach shoes. A one car garage is included and there is plenty of extra street parking. A large patio in back features your own barbecue grill, patio table with chairs and umbrella. The front of the house features an inviting front porch, as well as an interior porch to enjoy your morning coffee or a glass of wine before dinner.

About Bill Buck and/or Suzanne Buck
Although my wife and I are presently living in San Diego, we are native Michiganders. We were raised and schooled in the same home town, and worked in various areas of the state. As a forester, I lived where the job took me.That resulted in my living in other areas of the country. The summers always drew us back to Michigan to reunite with family and long time friends. My wife as a young girl enjoyed the beaches of Leland with her family, and later spent several summers at Interlochen as a student. Prior to our marriage I lived for 13 years in Traverse City, enjoying many visits to Leland, even in winter to enjoy walking the beaches with their enormous frozen waves. We both have always loved the town of Leland and had long searched for a second home there. Once we saw this place in February of 2012 we knew that was where we wanted to be.
Bill Buck and/or Suzanne Buck purchased this Townhome in 2012
Why Bill Buck and/or Suzanne Buck chose Leland Township
Having looked at many properties over a long time, we decided a central location on Main St. was the ideal choice. It's proximity to all in town was perfect: restaurants, the library, fishtown, art galleries and beaches all were but a few minutes walk. We loved the typical cottage craftsman style, and the attention to detail in its interior. Solid wood doors and trim were the extra touch. It is our Home Away from Home, and we love spending time there. You can put kayaks in the water without having to drive anywhere.
What makes this Townhome unique
When we walked through the front door and saw the coffered beam ceilings and quality workmanship we knew it was special. Care had been taken to give old cottage style feeling with lots of big windows and open living space. No other property came close to its quality...and location was perfect! We wanted the type of furnishings to make you feel you were at home, and hope you will not only appreciate everything it offers, but care for it as we do. It is so nice to come into a well kept, clean home to start your vacation!

Will Return
We always love having you! We look forward to having you again next year!
Our home is special to us and we love return tenants who appreciate and enjoy it as we do!
Beautiful and ideal!
We Got Taken to (by?) the Cleaners
We provide an explicit guidelines and information sheet to all our tenants in which we ask ALL members of the party to be familiar with. It covers everything (trash, linens, laundry, parking, maintenance contacts, prior departure things and leaving the unit as "clean and tidy" as you found it.
To say our housekeeper was exasperated when she arrived is an understatement. She was late to her next job due to the extra time required in our unit. No trash wastebaskets (baths and kitchen) had been emptied, and a dirty diaper was in the downstairs bathroom. Food was found in the queen bedroom, candy wrappers tucked in the seat of the leather sofa, and food was stuck on the seat of the upholstered chair in living room which required extra cleaning. At least 90% of the windows all had "small handprints" on them. Our home as you can see has a lot of windows which are all easily within reach of the young children that were there. Also these windows had ALL been cleaned inside and out prior to our first tenants in July and no one prior to this tenant had smeared or left prints on the windows. Our housekeeper has had compliments on her cleaning with even a kind note from one of our repeat tenants. Since our stay at our home this summer was after this tenant departed, our housekeeper was able to show us all that we have explained here.
In addition, we were kind enough to grant this tenant an extra day to vacate for their convenience , knowing it would probably cost us a week's rent, as short weeks are not a vacationer's first choice. Little did we know that their lack of appreciation and care would cost us so much extra cleaning as well.
Unforgettable vacation in Leland
LOVELY HOME in Leland!!
Wonderful location!
Location
This area in leland is ideal for all water activities: fishing, swimming, kayaking and the water is so clear snorkeling is also fun. A favorite hike is to the top of the Empire Bluff. Biking is also very popular with protected trails going all the way from Traverse City to Empire. The whole family will love climbing the sleeping bear dunes. In fish town there are many interesting shops and a place to view its history and also see where fish are smoked. Tours to the Manitou Islands can also be booked there.
