This updated stunning Tahoe Keys property is perfect for a couple's retreat or families with teenagers.Ten minutes from Heavenly Valley Ski Resort, Lake Tahoe activities. Tahoe Keys amenities, fishing, skiing, casinos and golfing.
There could have been a few things fixed to make it a better stay. Snow should have been cleared from driveway master bedroom hot water nozzle was broken and maybe there should be some blinds put up for privacy
I was going to originally give this place a 2.5/5 stars but after the horrible experiences I've had with the property manager, I honestly can not give it any rating but a one in hopes that future renters will see it and be dissuaded from making a horrible decision.
This property is not a horrible place to stay at, however, when you compare the amenities provided to the amount you pay, it's like paying Ritz Carlton rates for a motel 6. I rented this property over Presidents' Day weekend, so I expected rates to be higher but not close to a grand per night higher, which is what we paid after all the hidden fees were added on.
The biggest thing I noted about this rental was the mile long list of rules that it came with. From the moment I paid for the property all I noticed were the rules that kept coming, and how if you didn't follow them to the tee you would get even more charges added to your bill. By the time you were done reviewing their over abundance of rules, it was really hard to even enjoy the place, god forbid you sneeze in the wrong direction and get another fee tacked on to your bill!
Most of what I have addressed is most likely due to the property manager who I would never do business with again. To review the actual property, again for the price you pay, it's very lacking. Furniture was very uncomfortable and not accommodating for the number of people in your party that you pay to be able to stay. The fourth bedroom comes with a futon! A rundown, questionable looking futon that could end friendships it's so uncomfortable! Until this place gets a fourth bed, it should really advertise for a comfortable stay for 6 adults and 2 kids at best.
When they tell you common ammeninties are provided, don't expect that to carry you through the total time of the rental. They provide you with half a roll of paper towels and glassware that have cracks in them that break the moment you touch it. Which then leads to the aftermath. They will try to nickel and dime you for everything you may have caused damage to even if you never actually did. I have to assume this is because they force you to buy accidental damage insurance and they use that insurance to be able to buy themselves new items that they claim under this insurance. If you choose to rent this place, I strongly urge you to insist on a walk through before you take over the rental. To summarize, this place is not worth your money or time.
Had a really nice stay here...beautiful kitchen, large island, nice refer and stove, ect...nice deck..will be back.
The kitchen is large and nicely upgraded, with plenty of counter space and two sinks. We had multiple people in the kitchen preparing our Thanksgivng meal, and we all had plenty of space to work without the need to constantly dancing around each other. The open floor plan offered lots of seating, and there was a nice centrally located counter for us to set up and work on a puzzle. The bedrooms were very comfortable, and the show and bath in the master bedroom are awesome. The Tahoe Keys is a great location, close to the lake, skiing and the casinos.
We had a wonderful time at this house in Tahoe Keys. We didn't have a boat to use but there is a dock and the deck has a very nice and calming view of the water and the neighboring boats.
The house is very well equipped, the kitchen was brand new top of the line, the bathrooms were excellent, all the bedrooms are upstairs.
The location is not too far from all the main attractions in South Lake Tahoe, the beaches, the casinos, the restaurants and some nice trails for hiking and mountain biking.
The manager was nice enough to approve our dogs and it seemed like everybody in the community had a dog as we made a lot of friends just walking our dogs.
We are looking forward to come here again.
Our son came home for the Air Force and we took him and his brother up to Tahoe for the a few days. It was beautiful and the house was perfect. Planning to be back really soon! PS> Our dogs loved being with us as well!
