|Minimum Stay||2 nights|
Welcome to Starry Nights Lodge, a new Boone log cabin, perched high atop a hill with magnificent long-range views, landscaped with stacked-stone terraces, and a circular driveway with plenty of room for parking. Best of all, you are just 30 minutes to the ski resorts and only 10 minutes from historic downtown Boone and Valle Crucis.
This Tahoe style house has lots of room to spread out. There are three levels of indoor living space and two levels of large decks. The main level of the house features an open floor plan with dining and living areas and a fully equipped kitchen. One wall contains plenty of large windows leading out to a wide upper deck and looks upon the rolling hills and mountains beyond. On the deck, you will find an oversized picnic table, custom rockers with lumbar support, and an outdoor grill. Back inside, the first level is assembled in an Arts and Crafts style, with hardwood flooring and natural finished tongue-and-groove paneling in the cathedral ceiling. The living area contains a stone fireplace with remotely controlled gas logs and features Van Earp lamps, leather sofas and armchair. The dining area comfortably seats eight. Beyond the living area is the master bedroom with three windows set into warmly paneled walls, a king bed piled with pillows, 19' flatscreen TV and a master bath.
Meticulously crafted stairs and banisters in naturally finished pine lead from the main floor to the loft above, containing a futon and a 46 inch television, perfect for a movie, curling up with a good book, or practicing yoga.
A game room on the lower level is equipped with a Foosball table, a chess table and 36' flat screen television. Just off the game-room is a bedroom with queen sized bed, a full bath, and an additional bedroom with 1 full bed and one queen bed and private bath. The deck on this level, has a large swing chair and a seven-person hot tub with lifter bar for easy access. Just wait till the stars come out!
Down in the valley, is our new, Stonehenge-inspired natural firepit. So romantic.
Starry Nights Lodge offers something for everyone in the family, with mountain views from every room, game tables and more, all in a lovely setting that is peaceful and still convenient to area attractions and events.
After living abroad, we settled in the temperate region of Charlotte, NC and found ourselves constantly drawn to the beauty of the mountains, just 2 hours away. There were so many activities in every changing season; hiking , biking, skiing & snowboarding, canoeing and kayaking. We couldn't get it all in in a weekend! So we decided to buy a special place with everything we loved. We hope you too will enjoy Starry Nights Lodge.
Kathryn purchased this cabin in 2011
We spent a year looking at houses that were never quite right, we finally found this place and knew our search was over. We were immediately drawn out to the deck overlooking the valley and couldn't leave it. It was fall and the area still smelled of wild flowers and sweet grass. My daughter said, 'Can you just imagine this place on a starry night?' And that's how Starry Nights Lodge was born.
This house pleases everyone. There is enough room for all to spread out. You won't look out at any neighbors, just deers playing in the valley below, or listen for an an owl calling his mate. In the magical winter, the fireplace is warm and cozy and children can sled right from the front door. If you are lucky enough to be here on a warm spring night, the air is lit with hundreds of fireflies- all seen from the hot tub and decks.
As the weather changed on our trek up to this mountainous Shangri-La, so did our attitudes. Left behind was the hustle and bustle of our lives, replaced by the aura of the ever-changing leaves. The surrounding nature changed our souls as we watched deer graze in the spacious wonder below us. Thank you for sharing your mountain oasis.

This cabin is beautiful, clean and makes you feel at home. The hot tub was nice too! The view is breath taking and the owner is amazing! My mom left her device she uses to read at the cabin and Kathryn asked Stephanie to look for it when cleaning the cabin. Stephanie found it and had it shipped to my mom within several days!
You will not regret staying At this cabin! The only thing is you're not going to want to leave!
We look forward to many more vacations at the Starry Night Cabin!
We recently spent the weekend at Starry Nights Lodge to celebrate my husband's birthday with a group of friends and it was an AMAZING weekend! Everything about the cabin makes for a perfect mountain weekend. As soon as you step into the place you are immediately hit with a cozy cabin feeling, not to mention the owners left a bottle of champagne and a card for my husband. The fire pit was fabulous, the hot tub was great, the views were beautiful! We are already looking forward to a trip back!
Great layout, awesome view, huge & unique fire pit. There's really no negative. The owners are great people and extremely helpful. If you're looking to stay in Boone area, I don't know what would be a better selection. We had 7 adults and two kids, plenty of room, everyone had a blast. It's clear the property owners work hard to make sure it's inviting, functional and "home-like". Our family will certainly return in the future!
I recently got married in Boone and some of my bridesmaids and I stayed at Starry Nights Lodge for the wedding weekend. The owners were extremely helpful and wonderful to work with! Once we got to the cabin, I was blown away! The position of the cabin and view from the decks could not have been more spectacular! The Cabin is located at the very end of the road and while sitting on the deck or looking out of the large windows at the long range views, it's like you are secluded in your own little peaceful private world. It is hard to believe that it is so close to Downtown Boone and the surrounding areas!
The cabin was extremely clean and well maintained with gorgeously furnished rooms and living areas. The kitchen was nicely laid out with plenty of room and the overall cabin layout was open and spacious. I even learned how to play foosball in the downstairs game room! We all spent as much time outside on the decks as inside and I completely understand how this cabin earned its name - the STARS were spectacular.
The owners graciously gave us a welcomed treat and permission to use beautiful fire pit that they are in the process of adding! With all the wedding festivities, we didn't take advantage of the fire pit, but with its location under the stars, I'm sure it will be a very romantic and cozy addition to enjoy! We all have nothing but praise for the Star Nights Lodge and hope to return to the cabin soon! The girls and I want to make a yearly trip of it if possible!
We greatly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a beautiful and relaxing cabin in the area!
The cabin is beautiful. Liked how the TV was at the loft. Enjoyed the fireplace, hot tub, & mountain views. If you plan to eat out, make dinner reservations. This was the only issue we had during our trip.
