Keuka Lake Cottage Rental Photos and Description

Cottage, 2 Bedroom, 2 Bath, (Sleeps 4-8)

Whether you are looking for a relaxing view from either of the expansive decks while you read a good book or if you prefer a bit more action out on the water, this cozy cottage situated along the east-side Keuka lakefront just 5 miles south of Penn Yan will suit your vacation needs.

If you like to enjoy a little exercise during your stay, the cottage is located on a quiet road which is perfect for a scenic bike ride, walk or jog.

The main floor of the cottage consists of an open dining/living room area with television, gas fireplace, sofa bed, full size futon, bar area with a beautiful view of the lake and a dining table that seats up to 6. Also on the main floor is a small, but fully equipped kitchen, 1 bedroom with a double bed, and a bathroom with shower. The lower level is the master, or family, suite with a queen sized bed, twin sized bunk beds, and nice sized bathroom with shower. Both levels have access to one of the outside decks.

The upper deck, off the main floor, has gorgeous views of the lake and beautiful sunsets. Plenty of lawn chairs, a picnic table, and a gas grill make this a great location to hang out at dinner time. This deck also gets great afternoon sun for those looking to bask in the rays.

The lower deck is covered, has sun shades, and also has plenty of seating with several lounge chairs and a patio set. Great for when you need to get out of the sun or rain or just looking for a peaceful place to enjoy your morning coffee.

The 65' of lake frontage is perfect for swimming, fishing off the dock, or heading out on the water in your boat. Dock your boat just steps away from the house. Steps from the seawall lead directly into the shallow water making it perfect for the kids (and adults!) to go swimming right in front of the house. A fire pit is also located along the seawall to roast marshmallows and enjoy the nighttime lights around the lake. Also provided are a paddle boat, 2 kayaks, life vests, and water toys.

This property is also on city water and sewer. No need to deal with septic, well, or lake water issues.

Whether your vacation interests are activities on the lake or simply enjoying the lake-views and local charm, the amenities and location of this cottage will definitely accommodate your needs.

Why Angela Bieber chose Keuka Lake

We spent plenty of time renting places in the Finger Lakes and finally decided to buy a place of our own. We chose Keuka Lake, and the East side specifically, because of its beauty and relaxing atmosphere.

Great place on the Lake

  • 5 of 5

Great place to stay on the lake! Plenty of deck space with chairs/tables, roll-down shades on the lower deck when the afternoon sun gets too hot, gas grill and everything else worked fine. Very clean and comfortable. Our teenagers spent a good bit of their indoor time on the futons in the living room; they were both comfortable for sitting or for sleeping.

We would definitely stay here again.

Great location!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed 7/9-7/16/16. Angela has a lovely cottage that is clean and very well equipped. The kitchen has the perfect amount of pots/pans and I loved the electric fry pan which helped avoid turning the stove on. One suggestion I have is to provide quality utensils; the kitchen could use a sharp cutting knife as well.

We were grateful that linens were provided but remember towels are not. The AC worked well and kept the upstairs cool on those 90 degree days. Kayaks were wonderful to have for the kids! The dock is great and I am grateful for the bumpers for protection...many QKA docks do not have them.

Overall-this was a great experience and we will gladly return. The decks were amazing, the sunsets beautiful and I wish the week hadn't gone by so fast!

Another Great Week Here!

  • 5 of 5

Twas our thirty fifth anniversary and we wanted to spend it here. It was our second stay and as fun as our first. Everything was great. Especially the paddle boat and kayak. The fireplace kept us warm on the cool rainy days and the air conditioner did a great job on the 90+ degree days. The bottle of wine on the table from the owners upon our arrival was a great touch. We'll be back! Thanks, Craig and Sue.

Excellent & Very Clean Accommodations, Everything You Could Ask for on a Finger Lakes Vacation!

  • 5 of 5

Our stay was perfect. The house was extremely clean, had more beds than we needed and the two bathrooms really helped in the morning to get us out to the wineries quicker! There were two TVs as well, and for someone who can't sleep without one, it added options for all of the guest. The best part was the outdoor porch/balcony overlooking the lake. Amazing location, scenery and house! Already planning to book for next year. Excellent value for what you receive. Thank you!!

Beautiful location and very clean home!

  • 4 of 5

We stayed for 2 nights over the holiday weekend- the house is super clean, kitchen well stocked, views are superb. We were pleasantly surprised by the "Ring of Fire" Saturday night- everyone along the lake either built a fire or lit flares at 9pm due to the holiday. There were also fireworks. Paddle boat and kayaks were a lot of fun. We brought one of our own kayaks to share with friends- I wouldn't do this again as there are 3 sets of stairs down to beach, from the road. The one set of inside stairs from upper level to lower was steep with very small steps- we used the outside steps instead for bringing dinner out to lower deck. Loved the 2 decks and places to sit on each one. One of us slept on an air mattress on the upper deck and really enjoyed it! Area is quiet, many families seen, lots of boating and lake water very clean and refreshing. There are instructions/ warnings about the very hot tap water in the rental- and you do need to be careful-seems like the hot water heater could be adjusted down to 120 degrees? Overall very nice place with panoramic views and very relaxing!

Owner's Response: LOVE the ring of fire! So sad we had to miss it this year, but happy to hear you enjoyed it! Completely understand how steps can be a frustration, but realize that you can enjoy the 3 different views of the lake from each level. And, entry level to the main portion of the cottage is only about 10 steps down from street level (which another reviewer added to my own sentiment that this feature only makes the property more private and quiet). Also, each level offers a different type of exposure whether it be full sun on the top deck, the covered deck below, or right on the dock... Something for every one and every weather condition! Your company and the views are what we really come here for, aren't they?!! Glad you enjoyed your stay!

Map

In addition to the abundance of boating, water sports, and fishing that this lake supports, this cottage is located along the Keuka Lake Wine Trail and only about 20 minutes from the Seneca Lake Wine Trail. Wine lovers will enjoy all that the local wineries have to offer. Be sure to get a taste of the local charm here in this area also. Plenty of great restaurants, Seneca Farms homemade ice cream and the local farm market, The Windmill, are among the favorites.
