For those who prefer a Paris apartment experience to a hotel, this is a great place to be.. Convenient to public transportation, neighborhood markets and restaurants, this is as close to being a Parisian as one can be for a week or a month. In addition, with interesting artwork, the place has character. The owner lives here part, of the year which helps to maintain the warmth and comfortable feeling of a home. It is an elegant and romantic space..
The apartment is clean, comfortable, and well provisioned. The owners are easy to work with and accommodating.
We are a retired American/French couple, deeply involved in the arts, multilingual and multicultural. We divide our time between France and the United States. Cities are a passion for us and a constant source of discovery.
Robert Fitzpatrick purchased this apartment in 2012
Over the years we have lived in five different neighborhoods in Paris, and this is our favorite. We did a total renovation in 2012. We bought this property because it is on the top floor of the building, with lots of light, gorgeous views, private and totally quiet. We also liked the fact that there are 5 different neighborhoods within easy walking distance, and a fantastic array of restaurants, cafes (even Starbucks), concert halls, museums and theaters nearby. As movie buffs we also liked that the Rex Cinema is a complete multiplex including the largest cinema (2800 places) in Europe.
great landlords, great neighbors
Extremely comfortable, with terrific hospitality. We highly recommend it.
The apartment is very nice, well furnished and comfortable. Wonderful art. Nice neighborhood. Very convenient. Bonne Nouvelle Metro stop literally right around the corner from the apartment. Many neighborhood eateries. Convenient market and grocery shopping, all within one to four easy walking blocks. I would stay here again.
Perfect location! Our family had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful apartment. We enjoyed the proximity to fabulous things that Paris has to offer. Everything is within walking distance and the metro is just around the corner if needed. Rue Montorgeuil was the perfect place to shop for our New Years Eve dinner. The apartment is clean and airy and filled with wonderful artwork. We found everything we could possibly need and Robert was very easy to deal with. Absolutely would recommend this apartment, can't wait to go back!
We stayed in the Art Lover's penthouse in December 2016, with our family of 4. We were able to communicate easily with Bob and make all necessary arrangements. In Paris, we were greeted by Bob's friend and given the keys and a brief overview of the apartment. We were very pleased with the apartment - it was clean, lovely and spacious. We enjoyed having space to relax, a view of the city, including the Eiffel Tower in the distance, the lovely art collection, and great neighborhood tips. Highly recommend and looking forward to returning soon!
I have used VRBO many times in Paris and this is the finest apartment I have found....for someone who is
passionate about art and design, you will feel like you are home....The owners have acquired their impressive
collection of photography on travels all over the world and it shows...it is impressive and very thought
provoking.... The overall layout if thoughtful and lives well, and the views over Paris with the Eiffel Tower
in view is incomparable.... I highly recommend staying here.....Ten stars at least!!!!!!
I had the most comfortable stay in this beautifully appointed apartment. It has all the comforts of home (a fully equipped kitchen, fantastic sound system, dishwasher etc) which made it sad for me to leave at the end of the fortnight. The owners are also fantastic and I was very fortunate to be able to arrange for a meet up as Bob was coincidentally in Paris towards the end of my stay. The other reviews have said it all - convenience to metro stops, proximity to the wonderful rue Montorgueil, terrific view of the Eiffel Tower. In fact there is actually more art work in the apartment now than shown on the photos! The location on the 7th floor also made the apartment bright and airy. Highly recommend this apartment without any hesitation.
Located in the center of Paris, immediately proximate to great public transportation, fantastic restaurants, markets, museums, opera and live theater all within easy walking distance. Not to be missed: the pedestrian quarter rue Montorgeuil, Centre Pompidou, the Louvre, and people watching on the terrace of any cafe.
