I am 65 years old and have fallen in love with this Valley. I brought my children here when they were young and now one lives in the area. My grandchildren enjoy many activities which are available in this area.
Frank Hart purchased this cottage in 2005
I have been coming to the Roaring Fork Valley since the early 70's. I have found the gems in this Valley are the people and the small towns with character and charm. Be careful, as once you have visited this area, you will want to come back again and again!

We have a son that lives in Basalt. My wife & I and our other two sons and families are from Iowa and we all spent the long Thanksgiving weekend at Franks Cabin. We had a very nice time at the cabin. The cabin was equipped with everything we needed for our stay and Thanksgiving meal.
The listing description was accurate and the cabin was clean and well maintained. Frank and Mandy answered any question we had and I would recommend Franks Cabin to friends and relatives.
Loved our time at this cabin. Beautifully decorated, comfy bedrooms and AMAZING panaramic views, even from the master bedroom. Had so much fun cooking in the super cute kitchen and spotting wild turkey, chipmunks and horses galore. Adorable ranch within waking distance let us and our son pet the horses and check out the lovely ranch. Easy and pretty drives to Aspen, maroon bells, hanging lake and cute towns like basalt, Carbondale etc. Very much enjoyed feeling removed from the busyness of the village centers. Highly recommend! If you are from more humid climates (we are from the beach in so cal and never thought of that as humid) a humidifier is recommended for sleeping etc to be comfortable.
We rented this house for 3 nights and had a great time. The house itself is awesome, with amazing views from the deck. We used the hot tub every night, and what a plus that was. The house had all that we wanted, (fireplace, bbq grill, hot tub, secluded yet close enough to the town), which made the stay perfect for us. And Frank, the owner, was easy to work with. He was responsive and made it easy to stay at his place. It's a 5 star without question.
We had a great stay here. The house was very comfortable, and just the right distance to be secluded, but not too far from Carbondale. The hummingbirds were a delight to watch in the afternoons after hiking. The owner and property manager were both great to work with. We highly recommend this property!
This is the perfect spot to get away from the crowds and relax. The home is clean and has everything you need. Drinking our morning coffee on the front porch with the fantastic view of Mt. Sopris, while dozens of hummingbirds darted between three feeders was a great way to start the day. The owner wants to make sure everything meets or exceeds your expectations and makes himself available for any questions you may have. Highly recommended and we would definitely stay again.
Lovely, well appointed home situated north of Carbondale in a very private setting. Great view of Mt Sopris. Easy to access Glenwood Springs, Aspen, Carbondale (great restaurants) and El Jebel supermarkets. Highly recommend.
