Agriturismo Radicondoli is a quiet place for gaining new strength, allowing for relaxation by the panoramic pool or taking sightseeing day trips, experiencing Tuscan village life, walking in unspoilt, breathtakingly beautiful countryside or exploring the ancient spas scattered around the valley.
Pietro and his family are very warm, generous, positive and fun loving Sardinians who often organise large dinners with friends from neighbouring farms, improvise playing, singing and dancing to which all guests are always invited.
The family likes all guests to make themselves at home. You can take part in farming activities like milking the sheep and making cheese, or enjoy a quiet and relaxing week by the pool.
I loved this place! We rented the unit that faced the building where the sheep get milked, it was quiet, clean and just lovely! The sheep are adorable and only come twice a day. The pictures don't do the place justice, the rooms are large and clean and the beds are comfortable. It is close to many charming Tuscan towns, we had so many fun adventures! Some of our friends even walked to some of the nearby towns. Pietro and his wife are the most charming and helpful hosts! We arrived very late and got lost, Pietro not only met us in town to show us to the house but he waited while we had dinner and joined us for some fun conversation! I would come back again and again!!!! The views are stunning and the property is just enough off the beaten path to be the relaxing vacation you are looking for!
We joined friends and spent a week here. The converted barn was lovely. There was great attention to architectural detail. Window screens would have given it an excellent rating. Living next to the sheep created millions of flies! The building was a little underpowered. If the water heater and the refrigerator powered on at the same time, we lost all power. And you could only use the oven if you turned off the breakers to the lights! Pietro and family are hard workers. They are busy with the farm from sun up to sun down.
Little things that would have made the week easier--a simple sheet describing where the breaker switches are, where to take the trash, how to use the washing machine (and where to find it). Also, I would recommend charging a little more and including things like toilet paper, paper towels, salt, pepper, oil, vinegar, etc. When you arrive on Saturday afternoon from a long airline flight and you are miles and miles away from any store that might possibly be open, it is hard to get supplies quickly.
Also, to me, charging a euro a day per person for linens implies fresh towels might be supplied at some time--but no, it was one towel per person per week = 7 euros. In spite of my complaining, I would return--it is a beautiful, relaxing place to be!
