Waikoloa Hale has all the amenities of home plus ocean and mountain views. The master bedroom has a huge attached bathroom with a soaking tub and separate shower. The guest bedroom has it's own full size bathroom. Both bedrooms have queen size beds and ceiling fans. Special attention has been given to the spa style linens and luxurious bedding.
The fully equipped kitchen opens to a spacious great room and dining room.
The office through the French Doors has a sofa bed that can sleep one.
All the floors are either hardwood, bamboo or tile, no carpeting.
There is a covered lanai with a gas BBQ overlooking a tranquil and private yard and water feature.
For your convenience, there is a utility room with a washer and dryer.
The Waikoloa Village Shopping Center is a short 5 minute drive away. There you find a modern food market, restaurants and a variety of shops and services.
While we are only 20 miles to the Kona Airport and 20 minutes to Hapuna and other spectacular Kohala Coast Beaches, we are situated just high enough to enjoy regular cool mountain breezes.
Beyond the beaches, Hawaii offers a host of outdoor activities and sightseeing opportunities. Head to Waimea and visit the many shops and galleries.
Enjoy a day trip to the Volcano National Park. A memorable drive to Hilo along the Hamakua Coast offers breathtaking views of historic Waipio Valley. This area is also home to Akaka Falls, one of Hawaii's most famous. You'll see deep water-carved gulches and valleys, thick with tropical foliage. Stop and tour gardens full of exotic plants and orchids.
For adventure of a higher nature, the 13,700 foot summit of Mauna Kea provides dramatic scenery and an unforgettable visitor experience. The W. M. Keck Observatory provides a visitor’s gallery with exhibits describing astronomy research and star gazing.

I very rarely write reviews but in this case I just felt I must. My two children and I were in the process of moving from Texas to the Big Island so as you can imagine it was stressful, a lot of work and impossible to find permanent housing until we arrived. Matthew, the owner and Lynette, his sister were so helpful in suggesting this home for us after we were inquiring about another home owned by Matthew. It was absolutely perfect for our family. Close to all the many beauties of the Big Island. You can go up to Waimea, down to Kona and up to Hawi all within a quick drive. The living area, kitchen and dining room is open and is a large space which made it feel so roomy for us. The home is nicely furnished and has all the things you need to cook a meal and go to the beach for the day. Matthew even brought us fresh eggs from his organic farm during our stay! Anything we needed they assisted with very quickly. We ended up finding our permanent home not too far away because we loved this area and location. I highly recommend this lovely home to anyone and everyone!!
Clean, roomy master bedroom and bathroom was very nice. large kitchen but lacked quality utensils and quality pots and pans. knives were dull. Guest bedroom was very small. Nice patio area with pretty fountain. Full size washer and dryer was a nice surprise. Check out time @10AM is a bit early. Clubhouse pool was very shabby. Location was very nice and close to shopping and beaches.
House is how they explained it in pictures and it was in a very nice and quiet neighborhood. Easy to find and located near shopping center. Very nice master bedroom and bathroom with enclosed lanai to read. Kitchen nice and big. It was perfect for our work crew to have a place near by our jobsite.
A very clean, quiet and spacious rental - plus these folks went the extra mile when one of our party needed help with local doctors. We highly recommend this fine home and hope to stay there again. Big Island aloha at its best!
We spent 3 weeks in this home and really enjoyed the spacious open concept. The large kitchen and Master Bath were our favorite features. It was a great taste of what living in Hawaii might be like as it is located in a neighborhood and not in a resort area. However it was still close to the things we like: golf, beaches, restaurants and sight seeing. Prospective guests should be aware that this home does not have a large lanai or outdoor space with expansive views, but it is still a great value and perfect for one couple or a family. You should also know that this is not a single family home, it has a downstairs apartment and a shared laundry room. This was not a problem for us as we rarely heard any noise from downstairs. We would definitely consider renting this property again, the owners were very helpful and the home over all was very comfortable.
We spent 12 nights in this home and enjoyed it greatly. Plenty of space for the two of us. We especially liked not having any carpeting so the hardwood and tile were a big plus. The kitchen is large and it was good to have a dishwasher, too. The small den was perfect for a spot to relax and read and proved useful for my husband who is a very early riser while I am not so much! We would easily stay again!

CHECKOUT: PLEASE LEAVE KEY ON THE TABLE INSIDE THE UNIT AND TURN OFF ALL LIGHTS, FANS AND APPLIANCES.
