Quebec Pee Wee tourney Families

  • 5 of 5

We rented the house during the Winter carnival and for the Pee Wee Hockey Tourney. We were beyond pleased. The house was hugh and beautiful. We could not ask for a better location. Even though we had to park in a lot, it was not overly expensive and right down the street from the house. It had all the amenities of a home away from home. We were able to sight see, enjoy the carnival and a multitude of shopping and restaurants right at our door step.

It was a convient drive to all of the rinks involved in the tourney.

The owner went above and beyond for us in anyway possible. She was extremely helpful with all information about the house and the attractions in the area. She was a pleasure to deal with an honest in all aspects of the house. The pictures don't due the house it's full justice.

We look foward to going back in the summer to see the Old City in a different view.

I FULLY RECOMMEND this home to all families and especially for families coming for the Pee Wee tourney. It was a hidden gem which is now up for grabs...So HurrY!!!!!

Great Location! No driveway.

  • 4 of 5

2 Families rented this house over New Years Eve for it's location and for it's proximity to skiing. The house is really interesting, on 4 levels with lots of room. The basement suite is self contained with it's own bathroom and kitchen. There isn't a driveway, you must park on the street or at a pay lot. The best part about this place is it's location. The worst part about this place is it's location…

BAD PART - Parking

When we arrived there was a lot of snow on the ground, we left our vehicles on the road as we were informed that the street parking was ok. All of our cars were towed overnight for snow removal. The renter never once mentioned that if there is a yellow light flashing, you must move your car for snow removal. It took us all morning to locate (with the renter's help) and retrieve our vehicles ($125) fine for each and we lost 1/2 day skiing as a result. We were there on Jan 2nd and I was a little surprised at how many restaurants and stores were closed on that date.

The location is fantastic and the house is big and comfortable though a bit on the rustic side. Beautiful exposed limestone walls and 2 huge dining room tables are the highlight. There are many attractions, restaurants and bars within an easy walk. Getting to the highway to Mont Ste Anne and Le Massif was extremely easy and quick. It's about a 30-35 min drive to Ste Anne and about a 55-60 min drive to Le Massif (if you haven't skied here, you really must, it is easily the best skiing in the east). New Year's eve in Quebec City on the Grand Allee (a 10 min walk) was a blast. Ton's of bars with outdoor patio heaters and ice bars, a full night of live music on stage and the best fireworks display I've seen in years at midnight. Our kids (18-22) all had a great time as did we. (though the -25C temps would be a challenge without the woolies…it's not a fashion show!)

This is a great spot to rent with a big group, just beware of the parking.
