Comfortable, fully equipped house that accommodates up to 8 people.
About Diane McClure
We are Bruce and Diane McClure. Bruce is a retired Westchester County Police Sargeant. Diane is a retired Employee Benefits Manager. We purchased the house for retirement, but we haven't yet moved ourselves to New York. We presently live in Fairfield, Connecticut.. We rent the house by the week in the summer, so that families can be comfortable when they have kids at Dreamspark. We use the house on weekends off season.
Diane McClure purchased this Bungalow in 2003
Why Diane McClure chose Oneonta
The house is cute, cozy, and convenient to Cooperstown, the Dreamspark and other attractions and conveniences in the Oneonta/Cooperstown area. The house is situated in the town of Milford, New York, but the mailing address is Oneonta. The house is on a circle with 8 houses on it, that runs in a horseshoe from Rt. 28. It is on the edge of Goodyear Lake, but there is only a view of the lake in winter, when trees are bare.
What makes this Bungalow unique
Fishing and canoeing are permitted on the lake, as is swimming, but there is no beach. We find that teen age boys and girls don't mind the absence of a beach, but we older folks prefer not to swim in the lake.
100% refund if canceled at least 60 days before arrival date.
The place is cozy and fit our family of 6 perfectly. It is old as most homes in the area are. It has character that is to be appreciated. The beds are comfortable. The furniture is dated, but comfortable and serves it’s purpose well.
There are two clothes dryers which helped with the laundry loads we did having 6 people.
The owner was quick to reply to questions or concerns.
If you’re looking for a simple, cozy place to spend the week, this is the spot. They have lake access and fishing equipment. If you want to enjoy the lake, get some floaties from Walmart.
It’s 12-15 minutes from Dreamspark and 12-15 minutes from downtown Oneonta. (Oh-nee-on-tuh). Great location.
Thank you for your review. We are happy you were comfortable, and enjoyed your time at Diane’s Dreamhouse.
We came in town for Cooperstown Dreams Park with our son. House was very old but so are all of the houses in this area. House was clean, had brand new commercial sized washer and two dryers which helped with clothes over the seven days we were there.
House worked perfect for us!
Hi Betty, So glad you enjoyed the house. Thank you for your kind review! It you have an suggestions for small things we might do to make anything better, we’d love to know. We can’t really afford to make any major changes, without raising the price, but we do what we can, as we go, and we try to ensure comfort and always safety for our guests. Happy back to school time!
Cooperstown Dreams Park
Great location to stay if your son is playing at Cooperstown Dreams Park. 15 minute drive or less. Communication from the owner, check-in and everything else was GREAT.
Not a copmlaint, but the only negative is this is an older home and therefore for a larger person like myself (6'3") the rooms, bathrooms, etc are much smaller than we are used to.
But I would heartily recommend for a family playing at Dreams Park.
Thank you so much for your kind words, Craig. Very happy that you enjoyed the Dreamhouse!
Great place to stay with a family or two!
This house was perfect for us while in NY to watch our son and his team play in Cooperstown! Everything we needed was there and the house was in a perfect location to the lake. Close enough to walk to the lake yet not too close to worry about all the mosquitoes! Kids had a blast fishing! I would highly recommend this house to families coming in for Cooperstown!
Thank you, Betty! So glad you enjoyed our house!
Redwing Circle is directly off of Rt. 28, a main road that goes to Dreamspark, and Oneonta. There are many family restaurants, and stores, including Home Depot, Lowes, and Walmart, a few miles from the house.
