Cute as a cottage! We stuck to a more 'midwest home' type of decorating scheme. New paint, carpet, furniture, 32' flat screen in living room, 20' in bedroom local stations. DVD player, small library of DVD's. I just finished remodeling the kitchen in February with travertine floor and backsplash, stainless appliances and granite sink with quartz countertops. Remodeled bathroom with large garden tub. This is one of the complexes "handicap accessible" units. New dishwasher and washing machine. Private garage parking with electric opener. Pool and club house are located kitty corner across the street.
We both grew up in the NE Iowa and SW Wisconsin area. We have traveled the US fairly extensively and some foreign travel. As we are nearing retirement we re-examined our travel experiences and decided the Arizona winter weather would be the most enjoyable for us a some point. Until we reach the 'snowbird' stage we will share our home away from home with a few others.
Gary David purchased this condo in 2011
As previously stated we love the moderate weather of the Arizona winters. When we were viewing properties in the Phoenix area we kept coming back to Bella Terra. The pool and club house area are wonderful and well kept. We especially enjoy our morning walks and are constantly adding new routes around the neighborhood. Everything we need is within a short walk or drive. We even found a top notch Packer bar to watch the games!
While we were in business the old addage of 'location, location, location' was important and it came into play with our choice of this condo. The condo is within a mile of groceries and basic essentials. Even a fresh cup of coffee is only a .75 mile walk away. The Paradise Valley Mall is only 5 minutes away.
We chose to purchase our condo in the Scottsdale-Paradise Valley area because of the seemingly endless things to see and do.
If golf is your thing there are 20 public courses listed within 10 miles. TPC is only 8 miles away!
Shopping from Walmart to the Paradise Valley Mall to the high end shops at Kierland are all within eight miles.
If you enjoy casinos there are many to choose from. Talking Stick is approx. 11 miles.
The choice of restaurants is amazing. From the usual chains like Outback, Ihop, 5 Guys, In and Out, Chili's to the places like Chelsea's Kitchen, Houstons and Z Tejas
Mayo Clinic Hospital is only six miles away.
Old Town Scottsdale in fun with many souvenir shops and small specialty restaurants.
Probably our favorite 'thing to do' is spring training for the Cactus League. Six of the ten stadiums are within about a 40 minute drive (Salt River Fields is about 10 minutes) the other four stadiums are slightly farther.
The condo is located on the Shea side of the complex so you can watch the commuters going to work while you enjoy a cup of morning coffee.
If you prefer your own cooking the newly remodeled kitchen is equipped with the essentials to get the job done.
The grounds and club house with the treadmills, free weights and station machines are very well kept. The pool and grill area is awesome!!
If you enjoy walking I have walked the area neightborhoods extensively and can give you nice routes from 2 to 7 miles.
