It's s beach cottage no doubt, but a gem of a place for two on the north shore.

This wonderful little beach cottage suited the two of us perfectly. We used the outdoor shower every time, watched the sunset every evening steps from the deck and thoroughly enjoyed being able to come and go from here. The cottage is equipped with everything you will need to be comfortable for a week or more. It's an intimate space and while two bedrooms, we felt it would serve two best... Using the roadside bedroom as the 'closet'. Foodland grocer and food trucks are within walking distance and a quick stop at Costco on the way to the beach for beer, wine, etc served us well. Plan to unpack, open the house up day and night and enjoy the beach and sound of the ocean. This beach cottage is a special place and we loved it.

I took my parents and my son to Oahu for my son's 10th birthday and I cannot say enough great things about this lovely home! It was absolutely perfect for the four of us. Whether we stayed on the beach in front of the house or went exploring all Oahu has to offer, every day began with a greeting by the ocean and ended with a beautiful sunset. Every evening my son would say, "Today was awesome!". It was an awesome and unforgettable trip. Mahalo, William, for allowing us to enjoy your home and the natural beauty that surrounds your property!

Awesome time

  • 5 of 5

Really enjoyed our stay, the house had everything we needed and was located perfectly away from all the usual tourist areas. Only thing of note was the rocks in the water in front of the house made swimming at the beach at that location impossible unless you are on a board in the water beyond the rocks, but with all the other areas to swim nearby it really wasn't an issue. Wish we could've stayed longer! We loved it and look forward to returning again soon!

Best vacation ever

Can't say enough good things about this place and it's owner. Stayed 14 days with my family, adults and children and everyone had a great time. The house is well kept and well stocked. The outdoor shower was a great treat. The deck is perfect for catching sunsets, sunbathing, and watching surf. Beach access can't be beat! Lot is secure and even though neighbors are close there's no noise except the sounds of crashing waves and palm trees blowing in the breeze. Walking distance to bike rentals, grocery store, great food trucks, playground for kids, skate park, and world class surf. Laundry on site, lots of linens and housewares as well as beach toys, boogie boards, snorkel gear. Beds and furniture are comfortable, cable and wifi work great. Owner responds promptly and is very pleasant, we hope to be back some day!

North Shore Paradise

  • 5 of 5

What a wonderful place. I have been to Oahu quite a few times and have had a chance to stay on most parts of the island.Waikiki is a tourist trap and headache... Kaneohe and the windward side are beautiful, and you can't beat a sunrise in Lanikai. However I always found myself on the North Shore in the evenings, enjoying the thick sand, waves crashing and the amazing sunset. There is just something about that part of the island in the late afternoon. The sun has this orange glow to it, the rain clouds blowing out into the pacific off the point. I would always think to myself, this is where I need to be staying! And boy was I right. This property was perfect. We grilled dinner every night while watching the sunset, just an incredible view from the lanai. It was a perfect launch point for adventures, and even better to come home to at night. I loved the size of the lot, and the secure parking. The outdoor shower was awesome as well as onsite laundry. The only thing I think this property is missing, would be a hot tub!

We were glad to find the cottage has a well-kept, gated yard. Opening the door to the deck - well, almost fainted at the beauty of the scenery, and the awesome surfers braving the waves. Finally fulfilled dream of mine to see the big wave surfing. Went to the Van competition, so convenient, you can walk or bike ride to on the paved path behind the house to the event. Free, you sit on the sand or the bleachers. Parked right across the street, $10, in neighborhood cul-de-sac, very friendly residents, dogs bark but not aggressive. Try the grilled street-vendor corn on the cob and the shrimp burritos from the truck. Waves in the winter in that area not suitable for anyone but strong swimmers, there are probably protected bays that are safe.

No need for air conditioning in the winter. The sea sounds put you to sleep.

If you don't plan on leaving the area, you can live in a swimsuit and coverup the entire week. Good grocery store, and incredibly cheap ono (sometimes called wahoo) fish that we grilled twice for dinners. Turtle

Beach resort a good place for a drink at the outdoor bar, to people-watch the surfer crowd. Went to the Polynesian Cultural Center, the Peal Harbor attractions, Diamond Head, drove up and down the North Shore towns and beaches, but always glad to get back to our deck and the sunset. Had good meals at Cholos in

Haleiwa and Macky's shrimp truck at the end of town, but mostly cooked in the well-appointed kitchen, and ate on the deck. The Pali Highway is beautiful, with gorgeous scenery at the cliff where King Kamehameha fought

his final battle to claim all the islands as his domain.

A hot tub would be nice, and a bigger coffee pot. Otherwise, everything was perfect, except that we had

to leave. Escape the mobs in Honolulu, this is paradise.
