About Sharon Lewis

I grew up in San Antonio, currently live in Boerne, and am happy to tell you about all the wonderful places to visit while you are in town. San Antonio has so many attractions and wonderful historic places to experience. It is an easy drive from our VRBO. I love small towns and have always wanted to live in the Hill Country. I fell in love with Boerne right away and moved here 7 years ago. Boerne is small town USA at its best! The town is steeped in historic places with a German influence seen in the architecture. There are many wonderful eateries and quaint shops to choose from. This is the perfect place to shop for antiques as well. There are many lovely wineries within a 20 to 40 minute drive that offer tastings, music and tours. Christmas time is especially delightful here, as the town steps up to the plate with Main Street all decked out in lights and a charming Christmas parade! My husband, kids and I are very happy here and hope that you get to relax and see some new and interesting things! We welcome you...

Lovely home in a wonderful location

  • 5 of 5

Our family thoroughly enjoyed a three night stay in this beautiful home. It was everything we expected, and so much more. The house itself is simply gorgeous. It is well built and impeccably maintained. The design and décor is very pleasant, with excellent colors and patriotic and inspirational themes. The furnishings, beds and linens were all high quality and very comfortable. The kitchen and baths were well stocked with everything we needed. The yard was beautiful, with several large shade trees. We especially loved the large live oak trees and abundant hummingbirds, songbirds, and butterflies.

Our stay was filled with activities, all made easier and more enjoyable by having this great house as a relaxing home base. We enjoyed a tour of nearby Cascade Caverns, then came straight back to the house to clean off (the caverns had recently flooded and were muddier than normal). We enjoyed breakfasts we fixed in the kitchen, and other meals at excellent local restaurants. We particularly enjoyed “The Creek” in Bourne and the “Magic Time Machine” in San Antonio. We had a great, but exhausting, time at Six Flags Fiesta Texas and were relieved that the drive back to the house was a short one. We enjoyed watching many hummingbirds and butterflies in the yard. On our next visit, we’ll have to allow for more time to simply relax in the yard.

The owners were extremely responsive and exceptionally helpful. Or stay was a last minute booking that required a rush cleaning to get ready for our arrival. We told them it would be fine to cut a few corners and we wouldn’t mind a little mess. However, we were thrilled that they were extremely thorough and detailed in their cleaning and preparation for our arrival. We manage several vacation rentals ourselves and know how much effort goes into getting a rental ready for guests. We maintain an extremely high standard of cleaning and preparation at our rentals but have learned not to expect that same standard from other managers or owners. These owners greatly exceeded our expectation. The home was simply spotless and everything was ready for our arrival.

We hope to return again in the future and highly recommend this rental to families, small groups of friends, or couples. If you’re reading this review and considering booking a reservation, DO IT.

Four retired Teacher Friends Very Happy!😊

  • 5 of 5

Four retired teachers rented this VRBO in June 2016. We arrived in the neighborhood and were well pleased with the neat yards and quiet street. On the inside, we found all rooms to be very clean and neatly arranged and decorated. All the anemities were plentiful in the kitchen and there were plenty of bathroom and bedroom extras . ( sheets, towels and washcloths). The temperature outside was around 92 and late in the afternoon a compassitor went out in AC unit. I called Sharon and she immediately began looking for an after hour AC man. We left and went for reservations at a nearby restaurant . When we returned 2 hours later , we had all the cool air we wanted. This VRBO was just perfect and Sharon saw that we were very comfortable. We four retired teachers agreed , ,this would be a destination for next year while we toured the wineries between Fredericksburg and Johnson City. Lots of fun and looking forward to our next vacation and stay with Sharon in her VRBO. Thank you, Sharon.

Wonderful Home in Boerne, TX

  • 5 of 5

Our family stayed here in late May 2016 and had a wonderful stay! The location was convenient to other family in the area and downtown Boerne. Easy to access from the highway.

The home was lovely - well decorated, obviously loved and suited our needs perfectly.

There was a nice yard and area to sit outside, even a horse shoe pit! We walked around the neighborhood often and felt very safe. Everyone waved and was friendly!

The owners were wonderful to work with. We definitely recommend this house to rent.
