Nice stay in the country!
We had a nice stay here!
Very cozy and Tony and Liz were very welcoming. Tony took time out of his day to take us and the kids around to visit the animals and tell us about their herb business and the volunteer work they do with the animals.
We would definitely stay here again.
Thank you Tony and Liz.
From their willingness to show us around to the little touches in the house (breakfast foods, snacks), Liz and Tony were great at making us feel right at home. Thank you!
Quiet and relaxing
We had a great, relaxing three day visit at the guest house and found Tony and Liz to be warm and accommodating hosts. They took time to introduce us to the animals and explain the herb gardens although they were closed for the season. We would recommend bringing bottled water for drinking, making coffee, etc. because of the iron smell in the water. One caution - there is no railing leading up to the second floor bedroom. We are three older women and found the steep staircase intimidating, so we chose not to use that bedroom.
If you're looking for a place to get away from the busyness of everyday life, this is it!
We had a wonderful time and Tony was a great host
We had a wonderful time and Tony was a great host. Very relaxing and also very close to the activities we needed to get to
Comfortable cozy a little bit pricey
Owners very hospitable. Well water very hard causing pipes and fixtures to lime up. Iron in water has bad smell. Water pressure ok unless more than one person is using water at a time.
Over all quiet and nice.
I’ve always felt that my children have missed something by not having grownup on Grandpa’s farm. The simple beauty of earth and sky. This place took me back and weaved it’s charms on my jaded east and west coast young adults traveling companions. From the davenport, it’s not just a couch, to the 4 TV stations, and the sound of well water coming thru the pipes, this guest house delivered the charm and made my kids realize that slowing down is good. They decided to play cards and it’s was fun. Tony is a fabulous host who indulge us with visits to his gentle animals. The grounds are lovely relaxing. The surroundings are a sea of corn and a night sky where you can actually see the stars. I know why I left the farm, but our visit reminds me why the farm is in my heart. Who would want to be in an overpriced, generic rectangle—when you can spread out and relax.
