This is the perfect spot for a DC excursion! Convenient to metro, grocery stores. Very comfy!
This was a perfect respit for our sight seeing vacation with the family. A simple ten minute metro ride to all of the DC museums. Comfortable beds and couches to get us rested and ready to go out again. Everything was clean and in good shape. Thomas was very responsive and friendly. We loved being able to hang out together in the living room or escape the ones of the four bedrooms for some quiet time. We highly recommend this place!
Very convenient to Metro and events we had to participate in. Thomas was very responsive when we needed something! Will gladly rent again from him! Affordable condo for our group!
Clean, Comfortable & Great Location
This property was nicer and larger than the photos show, and worked well for our family of 5 adults. Though I never met the owner, he replied promptly to all emails. The location was great, 2 blocks to grocery, CVS, Starbucks & Metro, and a 10 minute walk to Gallaudet University. The bedrooms were small as expected, but beds were all comfortable. The upstairs bathroom was also small, but functional. The entire house was clean, with lots of windows and nice high ceilings. The central a/c worked well. The plumbing was fine, except the hot & cold handles were reversed in the basement bathroom, but once we figured that out, the shower worked well. We used the basement as a "master suite" since the bathroom was a little larger and there was lots of floor space and a futon to spread out suitcases. All appliances worked well. Washer/dryer was a nice bonus. There was room for at least one car to park in the alley behind the house. We really enjoyed our stay. I would definitely stay here again. I highly recommend this property, a good value for the price.
Cute, Comfortable House
The house really fit the needs of 3 women on a girl's weekend to see the sites. Three bedrooms with beds larger than single and 1 with a single bed. Much needed 2 full baths. Close to the NOMA Metro but it rained so we Ubered to the museums. Not much more than the metro with 2 people.
Although, I loved the tea cups, I missed having a mug. Also, bring your own hairdryer. Other than that , it was perfect and Thomas, the owner, is really responsive. I would stay here again in a heartbeat
The house was exactly what you see in the pictures. Kitchen and bathroom upstairs is small but plenty of rooms to spread out in. Bedding is old and mismatched. There were a variety of beds to choose from, firm, soft, squeaky. It was only a 30 min walk to the National Mall. Metro stops and grocery were with in 5 min but for my family of 6 it was cheaper and more convenient to use Uber when we didn't want to walk. The microwave on top of the fridge was inconvenient but there are not many other options in a small kitchen. The fridge was not getting cold when we got there but it was fixed within hours of me reporting it. Old house with squeaky floors but overall good experience.
Great Home to relax in, but there were few problems when I was there is water in the upstairs bathroom. The hot water barely came out felt more cold then hot. Secondly, the porch was still wet with red paint because it seem like it was painted the same day. Lastly, only 3 burners on the stove was working. Overall, its a nice get away.
My apologies I was under the assumption that the red Hawaiian Punch bottle at the bottom of the steps you and your guest left caused all the red stains that were left in the carpet. The deck had been painted over the summer so I am not sure why it would have still been wet. I will definitely look into the stove and water issue. I had to replace a shower head that was brand new due to damage from your stay. Thanks for pointing those issues out. I will definitely take a look at them.
