Summer Holiday 2017
The house was very clean, it had everything we needed, leaflets and notes about vital information for services, the area and activities. The garden was well kept and maintained, it had personal touches that made it feel like home, the owner was always at hand to answer any queries we had. The view was outstanding.
Thank you for everything.
Thank you so much for taking the time to write a lovely review for Seagull Lodge, our holiday home. We are so glad you enjoyed your stay and look forward to welcoming you back in the future.
A great holiday had by all.
Thank you for a great week. The house was cozy and well appointed, perfect for a weeks break. Lots of information in the property to help you plan your stay. Lovely area, with plenty for the children to do, whatever the weather. Stunning views when the clouds lifted!!
Thank you for taking the time to write a review of your stay at Seagull Lodge, we are always pleased to hear about your stay and are so glad you and the family enjoyed yourselves. We hope to welcome you back to our holiday home in the future.
Comfortable, family-friendly holiday house
My extended family and I spent a very enjoyable week in this extremely comfortable holiday home, which is well-located and has just about every amenity we could have asked for. Sue was extremely helpful from the first contact onwards and her response to queries was always quick and professional, whilst at the same time very friendly. The entire process was problem-free and it was obvious that Sue and her housekeeper work hard to make sure of this.
Although we did not have the best weather for our week's stay (lots of rain!) we found plenty of things to do in the local area, with the Donkey Sanctuary and Morwellham Quay being particular favourites. We also enjoyed the beautiful views from the living-room window, whether it was sunny or as storms rolled across the valley.
One very small improvement would have been a shower facility in the upstairs bathroom, as most of our group preferred a shower to a bath, but this in no way had an adverse effect on our stay.
I would absolutely recommend Seagull Lodge to people looking for a comfortable, clean and well-run holiday house in beautiful surroundings.
Thank you very much for taking the time to write a review for Seagull lodge, we are always pleased to hear from guests after their stay and delighted you enjoyed your holiday. We quite understand that a shower would be good in the upstairs bathroom, our plumber explained we have a problem with the "head" for a shower and cant get sufficient pressure, which is a shame, however the downstairs shower works well.
Many thanks and I hope to welcome you back another time.
Excellent, very comfortable and well equipped.
Had a lovely few days here over Christmas, very comfortable, lovely views. Kitchen was stocked with absolutely everything you could think of which was excellent! Having the use of leisure facilities was a treat. Great communication with the owner too.
Thank you very much for the kind review for your stay at Seagull Lodge over Christmas, we are always pleased to hear from guests who have enjoyed staying at our holiday home. Hopefully we may welcome you back another time for a stay at our property.
The property was ideal for our holiday of two couples plus family of four. Property was exceptionally clean and ideally situated for days out. Donkey sanctuary and otter sanctuary both well worth a visit, great for the kids. Only downside is not being able to get in the property until 4pm
Many thanks for the kind review posted for our holiday home in the Tamar Valley, we are always keen to hear from our guests after their holidays. We have to allow a break inbetween lets for the changeover, so our housekeeper can do a thorough clean and replace the bed linen in time for the new guests. We will review this further but thank you for your comments.
Lovely place to stay very homely
we were here 4 adults 4 children 2x10 years and 2x13years and 2 dogs, the house is lovely very clean and homely with lovely views of the countryside. We spent many nights sitting outside enjoying the peace and quiet. There are plenty of walks for the dogs. We enjoyed using the pools however they did close at 5 pm except a Wednesday which was 8pm. The Manor House did not have entertainment which didn't bother us too much as we tended to be out and about till late. However the girls would have liked it open for wifi! A great base for travelling around to see everything however was 3/4hr drive to the beach (season is a good beach for the dogs)and seaside town of looe, which is lovely, the beach here is not dog friendly, but lovely, however all the pubs cafes etc seem to allow dogs. There are a few pubs within walking distance (30mins)for a nice meal and drinks sitting in a beer garden and callington is only 7 mins away by car for tesco and takeaways. We stayed here for 2 weeks and had a great holiday but be prepared to drive (a sat nav is good) as not much near. Everywhere around here is very dog friendly which surprised us as not so much in Glasgow! Would definitely recommend seagull lodge and think it is one of the best properties within the holiday village definitely one with the best views and privacy but near a play park and tennis courts, would definitely go back here if travelling as far south again.
