Perfect for corporate retreats, multi generational families & large golf groups. Located on one of the best home sites in OG, this home sits on the 17th hole with unobstructed views of Northstar. The main home consists of a large living space with three master suites, a den and a man cave. Upstairs suite has a King, main level suite has two queens and the third (upstairs) has full bunks and a queen sofa sleeper. The den (main floor) has a queen sofa sleeper. The 1200 sf ft man cave has a bar, kegerator, wine room, custom pool table, legal size shuffle board, football, arcade table and a retractable big screen. The heated garage has a ping-pong table. The fully equip guest home sits atop it's own garage with a queen bed in the bedroom suite and a queen sofa sleeper in the living room.
This is a truly comfortable home for multiple families. It has a highly desirable and functional floor plan. The rooms are situated in a way that allows for privacy.
The house was built by the developer of the Ritz, the village at Northstar, Old Greenwood & Grey's Crossing. No expense was spared as every resource was used to build this work of art. The living room carpet was handmade in Nepal, the trestle wood was brought over from salt mines in Utah. Many items in the home were handmade including the copper tub, trims, rails, lights and 2.5" thick doors. There are many creature comforts such as lutron lighting and shades, air purifying system & heated toilets. The location is also amazing and has breathtaking views of Northstar.
For the second year in a row I hosted a golfing group to this beautiful home in Old Greenwood. It continues to meet all of our needs and there is nothing we could improve upon. There was fun competition around the ping pong, pool and shuffle board tables at night and the kitchen is stocked with everything you need to make your meals. And how could you not want to rent a house that comes with "heated" toilet seats! Sylvia is very easy to communicate with and is very quick with replies to your questions. Enjoy this jewel!!!!
I hosted a three day "golfing getaway" for 12 at this wonderful estate. We couldn't have been more pleased with the accommodations. Located on the 17th green at Old Greenwood, the vistas are beautiful. We brought a couple airbeds with us, so everyone had their own bed. Plenty of bathrooms to take care of everyone's needs.
The common areas were perfect for our group. The kitchen is well-stocked and worked well for the two meals we prepared. Plenty of lighting everywhere and all windows were covered and easy-to-operate to open or close.
For the time we were there though, we lived outside on the patio or down in the "Man Cave." The dining table in the back, the hot-tub and fire pit were well used. Serious game time occurred downstairs on the pool and shuffleboard tables. We could not have asked for a better time or place.
Each morning we walked down the 18th fairway to get to the Pavilion for breakfast and some a swim. While we didn't take advantage of the many Old Greenwood amenities (except the golf course), there is plenty to do on property for families and large group.
Lastly, Sylvia was a great host. The booking process and the communication I had with here was all easy and positive. We look forward to returning next year!
Location was probably one of the nicer ones in OG. Nice decor, but wasn't a fan of floor plan. If you take the basement game room and guest house out of the equation, main house itself was small for what larger groups may want. Kitchen area was closed off (not open) and felt tight when advertised for upto 20 people. It's only 3 bedroom (including bunk room) and 1 bedroom guesthouse. It also had their firepit on a slope..hard to sit around and way too many switches. Other than that, it was nice...especially the game room (except changing TV channel via remote was a challenge).
I agree with the previous review but we did have soap and all other needed ammenities upon our arrival. The property is beautiful and location is great as there is only one neighbor. The two downstairs king bed suites are situated really well for privacy. OG is the best kept secret of Truckee and you cannot go wrong by renting this home.
We really enjoyed our time at this house, location in Truckee is great. Rooms were all big and bathrooms were a good size as well. The community was really nice too. Only thing we weren't prepared for was no shampoo and soap in the bathrooms. Be sure to pack your own! The owner was wonderful to work with, communicated really fast.
Old Greenwood is a 600 acre private Jack Nicklaus golf course community with pools, hot tubs, restaurant/bar, spa, market, kids care/camp, fitness center, tennis, bball, bocce ball and free shuttle service to Northstar and back during ski season.
