About Tim Rodgers

Riverside Retreat was built in 2005 and was our residence until 2012. We are making it available for others to enjoy. It sits on a bluff directly on the Mountain Fork River which is a very quiet river with beautiful rock formations on the property. We now live back in Mena to be closer to family.

Tim Rodgers purchased this cabin in 2005

Why Tim Rodgers chose Arkansas

It is such a peaceful, relaxing place to be. You'll feel it as soon as you turn off the highway and begin the path down the tree-lined county road. At the top of our driveway, there is a view of Rich Mountain. On a clear night, you can see the lights of the lodge. At the bottom of the driveway awaits your peaceful getaway - surrounded by trees and overlooking a gorgeous section of the Mountain Fork River. On the back deck, you are among the treetops that rise from the bluff. The cabin was built to provide amenities for a romantic couples getaway or honeymoon but will sleep a family of four.

What makes this cabin unique

Imaculate & clean cabin new to the rental market in 2012, located on a bluff directly overlooking the Mountain Fork River. Beautiful view from 12’ x 32’ deck on back of cabin plus a lower deck by river with built-in bench. All wood interior trimmed in cedar w/tile & laminate flooring - no carpet. Access to river for canoeing or fishing. We have a canoe, paddles, & life jackets available for use at no additional charge.

Two-person jacuzzi tub.

Two-sided fireplace (opens to living area and bedroom).

Secluded.

Peace and Quite!!!!

  • 5 of 5

This was our first trip to Arkansas and did not know what to expect. We have stayed in many Cabins in the Tennessee and North Georgia, I was very impressed with this cabin and the property. The cabin was very clean and well equipped. The property was well taken care of and also very clean. Everything in the cabin was labeled with directions if needed. I found this very helpful. Loved canoeing on the river, very calming and peaceful. We sat out by the fire and enjoyed the quite and the show from the fire flies. It was nice to look up at the sky and see all the beautiful stars. I do recommend you pick up all your food and drinks before heading to the cabin, because it is not a quick trip to town. This cabin is just what it states a retreat. A great place to relax and disconnect. Our stay was cut short due to weather at home, but we hope to come back one day.

The Perfect Retreat

  • 5 of 5

We loved everything about the cabin, but the screened porch was our favorite place. We watched the moon and sun rise, ate all of our meals, and enjoyed the sounds and sights of nature on the porch. The bed was incredibly comfortable, the HUGE, jetted tub amazing, and the kitchen well-equipped and easy to work in. The decor was beautiful and comfortable. The cabin was private, and we enjoyed walking to the river and fishing from the rocks. There were no engine noises or other noises of civilization, which made it very peaceful. We couldn't imagine a better place to spend our anniversary together.

This place is truly amazing

  • 5 of 5

Our first time visit ~ absolutely incredible. We wanted a quiet secluded place to get away, unwind, relax, refresh and renew. The scenery is simply beautiful, we loved the screened-in porch, spent mornings and evenings out there and enjoyed the nightly firefly light show! Canoeing was fabulous - went several times. The cabin is stocked with everything needed to cook/bake/grill, we brought food for the week, never left, and enjoyed every moment. A definite re-do for us!!!
