About Tim Rodgers
Riverside Retreat was built in 2005 and was our residence until 2012. We are making it available for others to enjoy. It sits on a bluff directly on the Mountain Fork River which is a very quiet river with beautiful rock formations on the property. We now live back in Mena to be closer to family.
Tim Rodgers purchased this Cabin in 2005
Why Tim Rodgers chose Hatfield
It is such a peaceful, relaxing place to be. You'll feel it as soon as you turn off the highway and begin the path down the tree-lined county road. At the top of our driveway, there is a view of Rich Mountain. On a clear night, you can see the lights of the lodge. At the bottom of the driveway awaits your peaceful getaway - surrounded by trees and overlooking a gorgeous section of the Mountain Fork River. On the back deck, you are among the treetops that rise from the bluff. The cabin was built to provide amenities for a romantic couples getaway or honeymoon but will sleep a family of four.

From start to finish the experience of renting Riverside Retreat was completely squared away! The directions to the cabin were perfectly precise. The cabin was spotless, clean, well stocked and organized. The jacuzzi tub was clean and worked great. The canoe was perfect for fishing, I caught various sizes of longear sunfish. The river was like glass early in the morning with the surrounding trees, sky, and clouds reflecting a mirror image in the water. Complete serenity! Total peace and quiet in and around the cabin the whole time, except for the occasional welcomed sounds of nature. My wife and I spent some time driving to local points of interest. We recommend visiting Cossatot falls, Rich mountain, and associated local fare. ALL information about everything local was in the cabin. The amenities in the cabin were more than advertised, right down to the coffee filters! Also, my wife and I are VERY picky about tap water and usually don't drink it anywhere we go, but the water in the cabin tasted amazing! We would stay here again and again, what a great find! Tim we cannot thank you enough, our anniversary getaway was pleasant and relaxing! I look forward to our next visit!
Great weekend. The property is just as described, very remote and the photos are spot on.
The cabin was exactly as described. Very nice and clean. Seculded area. Very peaceful place to stay. Beautiful trees and right on the river. We enjoyed our stay there.
