About Jeff and Lori Perry
My husband I are both teachers who moved to Virginia from Maryland about 16 years ago.
Jeff and Lori Perry purchased this House in 2000
Why Jeff and Lori Perry chose Rileyville
We love the quiet and beauty of the Shenandoah Valley. We were fortunate enough to find this property right on the river where we could build our own cabin. Nothing beats having the Shenandoah River right out your front door.
What makes this House unique
We can swim, fish, and canoe right from the house. Evening campfires overlooking the river are the perfect way to spend an evening after a day in the water. There is plenty to do without leaving the house.

What a great time we had at Rivers Edge, the house was great, the river was relaxing, I would recommend this house for a vacation home to anyone. Thanks for the opportunity to stay in this great home.
BRILLIANT RURAL LOCATION
The house was by the river and in a quiet rural location. The kichen utensils and other items were new and copious. Usually you have to top up dishwasher, washing machine liquid, paper products etc but this was the best stocked house I have stayed in. Wifi was fast and reliable. The bedrooms were spacious and enough sockets for charging computers and mobiles. Not far from Luray and a Walmart for food shopping. We also visited Winchester which we would highly recommend. Overall we really enjoyed our stay.
Very nice and peaceful property. Clean and plenty of amenities. Owner came over with a fishing pole for one of our guests. We rode motorcycles to the property - just a heads up - it's about one mile of gravel and a couple of sharp turns. Would definitely return but in trucks nex time.
Peaceful with plenty to do
River's Edge is a rare find as it was very relaxing, yet there was always something to do. The house is well kept and comfortable for our family of five including two adult children and a son in law. We all used the kayaks, canoe, tubes on our adventures in the river. Corn hole and Badminton were fun to play as well. We spent a lot of our time on the front porch rockers overlooking the river. A riverside fire pit (wood was provided) allowed for S'mores for dessert. We cooked all dinners on the gas grill right outside the kitchen. The owners were very helpful and couldn't have been nicer.
Loved being on the Shenandoah River, was able to use canoe to fish everyday, was so relaxing and peaceful. Visit Shenandoah National Park is a most views are breathtaking!
Property was clean , comfortable & well equipped. Owners were wonderful. We really enjoyed our stay.
River's Edge Cabin is located just 5 miles north of Luray off route 340 in Page County, Virginia. Just walk across the yard to enjoy water activities such as canoeing, kayaking, tubing, swimming, and fishing in the Shenandoah River. There are many options for day activities including exploring Luray Caverns, hiking in Shenandoah national park, taking a scenic drive on Skyline Drive, and visiting local wineries and Civil War battlefields. Lake Arrowhead, only 20 minutes away, has a sandy beach for swimming. Other nearby activities include zip lining and horseback riding. In the evening, enjoy cooking hot dogs and smores on the outdoor fire pit. In the winter months, Bryce and Massanutten ski resorts are about an hour away.
