Awaken to transcendent sunrises over the Puget Sound and Mount Baker. Sip your coffee by the stone fireplace or on the private deck and breathe in wooded sea air; you've found paradise on Lummi Island.
This cozy studio cabin boasts original woodwork, a state-of-the-art kitchen, private bath and stone gas fireplace. Tuck away your car keys - with easy walking distance from the ferry dock and the Beach Store Cafe, and with bikes available for your use during your stay, the slow island life comes to you.
You may find yourself enchanted by visiting wildlife frequently seen on Lummi Island including seagulls, herons, kingfishers, eagles, seals, otter, and deer.
Low tide invites beach combing and shell collecting, as well as interraction with crab, clams and tidepool creatures along the way.
Hiking trails and nature preserves are also plentiful on the Island. Come, your island escape awaits!
This was such a beautiful place to stay! My fiancé and I came up to Lummi to celebrate our engagement for the weekend and the cottage was above and beyond our expectations. It was impeccably clean, and beautifully furnished and outfitted. Stunning kitchen that is well stocked. Loved the wrap-around porch and cozy fireplace. Sheila was wonderfully communicative and we loved meeting their adorable poodle Maya! Would recommend to anyone looking for a tranquil island getaway.
This was such a lovely place to stay! The house is small but impeccably finished and perfect for two people. The pull out bed is the most comfortable sofa bed I've ever slept on and was more comfortable than many of the actual beds in other rentals. The view was beautiful, our hosts were friendly but not overbearing, and the dogs were fun and friendly.
I knew we were in for a treat as we got out of the car and saw the guest house overlooking Hale Passage. Everything about the house was perfect. From the high-end finishes (heated slate floors!), well -appointed kitchen, remote controlled fireplace to the beautiful view off the back porch. The water-facing floor to ceiling doors let in the filtered morning light as well as the moonlight over Hale Passage. Shelia Parsons was the perfect hostess and at her suggestion we enjoyed the Beach Café, the funky beach store, the hamburger place as well as the small artisan fair held on Saturdays. What a beautiful way to spend the weekend!
Great views with a great guest home. We had a relaxing time on Lummi Island at the guest home. The guest home works great for a couple since it is a studio. The bed was very comfortable.
This place is a great get-a-way from the world. Sitting out on the porch and just watching the sun rise and set was amazing! Each detail of this bungalow was upgraded and top quality. The owners are wonderful!! They let us borrow their bikes to tour the island. The Beach Cafe was closed when we were there (always closed Tuesday and Wednesday) which was sad but Sheila (the owner) let us know prior which was great. There are floor to ceiling windows that overlook the ocean which is wonderful but bring your eye covers if you want to sleep in because there are no curtains on the windows that face the water. The ferry only takes 5 minutes and is $7 per person and $13 per vehicle (which includes 1 person) round trip. So, we paid $20 for my husband and I. Anyway, this place is wonderful and I would recommend and stay again!
This place was very relaxing and perfect for my 6th year anniversary! I highly recommend this place and the Beach Cafe is just up the street had a great happy hour and delicious food. This place was cleaner than my house and the view from the front deck is amazing. The hammock on the bluff is very relaxing.
