Awaken to transcendent sunrises over the Puget Sound and Mount Baker. Sip your coffee by the stone fireplace or on the private deck and breathe in wooded sea air; you've found paradise on Lummi Island.
This cozy studio cabin boasts original woodwork, a state-of-the-art kitchen, private bath and stone gas fireplace. Tuck away your car keys - with easy walking distance from the ferry dock and the Beach Store Cafe, and with bikes available for your use during your stay, the slow island life comes to you.
You may find yourself enchanted by visiting wildlife frequently seen on Lummi Island including seagulls, herons, kingfishers, eagles, seals, otter, and deer.
Low tide invites beach combing and shell collecting, as well as interraction with crab, clams and tidepool creatures along the way.
Hiking trails and nature preserves are also plentiful on the Island. Come, your island escape awaits!
My wife and I loved our experience on Lummi Island! It was as if time slowed down. Sheila was a very gracious host who took care of us and made sure our experience was magical. The cottage was perfect and is loaded with high end features: beautiful kitchen (well stocked), electric fireplace, a wall of windows facing the ocean, heated slate floors, back patio deck on oceans edge, private beach for combing etc. The island has a few amazing hikes of which my favorite was the Baker Preserve hike that gives you a breathtaking view of the San Juan Islands - wow! Great Experience! Thanks Sheila!
If you want a clean and comfortable little cabin with a perfect view - this is your place! Lummi Island is a very low key place to have a perfect weekend of rest and relaxing. We spent our weekend eating, playing scrabble and card games, reading and napping. The view kept distracting me however! We were tucked in to a wonderful little cabin get-away that had all the right dishes and kitchen utensils we could have needed or wanted.
A wonderful weekend spent in a great place and the accommodations were perfect!
Thank you to our gracious hosts and their wonderful dog!
We spent 3 nights at the cottage for my 58th birthday getaway. It is a beautiful property with stunning water views from the floor to ceiling windows that wrap around 2 sides of the cottage. The pictures on the website do not do it justice! We enjoyed the gas fireplace immensely and snuggled in for the windy, snowy new years eve day! Note that your restaurant options are pretty limited in the winter! So we took advantage of the cottage kitchen. Pretty much anything you need to prepare and serve a meal (less the actual food items) is available. The Beach House Café down the street was fantastic. We had both a great dinner and a delicious New Years morning Sunday brunch there. Be sure to go to the Otto preserve for a nice walk through the woods. And don't miss visiting the secluded beach behind the island's church! We highly recommend this place and hope to be back another time.
A beautiful place to spend time with your special someone. Cozy room with lots of DVD and Blu-ray to choose from on a stormy night. Wonderful views to enjoy coffee with in the a.m. Wonderful help from owners with anything you might need.
We reserved the Bungalow based on the huge number of positive reviews, which were spot on! My wife Lori and I celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary by biking and kayaking right from the Bungalow, and we enjoyed all our meals on the porch with incredible views. Dave and Sheila are the BEST hosts. You have plenty of privacy, AND the joy of their company and fabulous hospitality as desired. We will be back!!!
The hosts are very nice and the cottage is very clean and comfortable. The view is also great.
