About Scott Lawrence

I am a third generation builder of fine homes. My grandfather would have built this craftsman home and it is an honor to be the owner!

Restoring the original style while adding contemporary updates allows my guests to appreciate the history while enjoying all the conveniences of current technology in home design.

I live nearby in a 1907 craftsman home which I recently restored in the historic Leschi neighborhood of Seattle.

Scott Lawrence purchased this house in 2012

Why Scott Lawrence chose Northwest

I chose Phinney Ridge for the charming quiet neighborhood character and easy access to downtown as well as the popular well established neighborhoods just north of the city. Fremont, Green Lake, Wallingford, Ballard, Queen Anne and the University Of Washington are all close by.

Families visiting their relatives appreciate this convenience as well as visitors who wish to be close to downtown and stay in a quiet, safe location within walking distance of grocery stores, restaurants, and other services.

What makes this house unique

Spacious multilevel living space with great amenities the whole family can enjoy and the location!

The Woodland Park Zoo and Green Lake recreation area are two blocks away with many spring and summer activities to enjoy. Easy access to Pike Place Market, the Space Needle and Music Experience Project at Seattle Center are a short drive or bus ride away.

There is easy access to the Elliott Bay waterfront with dockside restaurants, shops, water taxi and ferry service to Puget Sound and Victoria Canada, the Seattle Aquarium, Seattle Art Museum outdoor sculpture garden, waterside trails with wonderful views of the Olympic Mountains and Alaska cruise ship terminals. The Seattle Mariners, Sounders and Seahawks sports stadiums are within walking distance of the downtown waterfront.!

If this home is booked or you need more space see my other VRBO #453411 on this property or in nearby Ravenna Park just 1 mile north of the University of Washington and 3 miles east of this home. The VRBO listing is 344506.

Amazing stay !

  • 5 of 5

We could not have been happier with our stay in this convenient location. The house was comfortable, clean and well stocked. It fit our family of 7 adults and a baby perfectly. Our needs were met and I would surely stay there again, Thanks Scott, for a great week in your home. It helped make my sons wedding go even smoother....Kathie

This is a lovely home!

  • 4 of 5

This lovely, beautifully updated, older home is located in a safe, friendly neighborhood, just a short walk from lots of restaurants and grocery stores, including a huge natural food store. The house worked perfectly for us while we attended our son's wedding. The older generation was able to occupy one floor while the younger generation (grandkids) stayed mostly on the other floor. Each of us could keep our our schedules re bedtimes, etc. Scott was always available and responsive to our questions. He provided detailed written instructions about how to handle the locks, air conditioner, trash, checkin/out process and such. It was a beautiful visit to Seattle. Thank you, Scott!

Beautiful Home and Wonderful Stay

  • 5 of 5

Scott's home is beautiful and we just adored this property and location. The home was clean and tidy. Plenty of towels to use. If an issue arose, Scott took care of it right away. Would definitely book again.

Relatives stayed here during family reunion

  • 5 of 5

We live about a 15-minute walk from this rental, so it was the perfect distance for housing family members for a week-long reunion. Four couples stayed here, which was cozy, but it worked. They all exclaimed about the comfortable beds, and one couple immediately ordered one like it upon returning home. It was very helpful that the owner let us see the property before we reserved it. It is very well kept up.

Roomy, CLEAN, perfect house and location, except needs full length mirrors! Scott is very particular

  • 4 of 5

Scott is very on top of it with day-of-booking, towels hanging were wet though and I needed to dry them. I loved the house (very roomy), extremely clean, loved the location and felt very comfortable. The rooms do need full length mirrors though...

Be sure to read all the check-in/check-out (3 or more page) LOGISTICS / terms upon booking or arrival.

I was not happy with the $160(?) cleaning fee considering the amount of logistical check out of taking off the sheets, pillow "covers," duvet covers, and putting them in the washing machine, trash etc.

Scott is also is very serious about taking off your shoes in his house because of the gorgeous rugs. Signs everywhere and personal reminders as you walk up to the door.

On one hand, Scott shouldn't really be in this business, on on the other hand, you KNOW this place is the cleanest place you've ever stayed and can really get comfortable.

If you aren't tidy and respectful, you shouldn't stay here. My only recommendation is that the cleaning fee should really be a "deposit" and I should be reimbursed for the effort of doing the housekeeper's job. I would maybe pay her $50, the amount she'd have to clean after our departure. Still loved it. I would stay here again.

Owner's Response: The wet towels should not have happened and will not happen again! There are plenty of dry spare towels for both bathrooms stored in the upstairs bedroom closet and downstairs bath but I do apologize for that. I am however confused by this review!! The rental agreement and check out is agreed to and signed at booking which clearly lists the fees and check out process. The cleaning fee is $145 and a shared expense and does not cover the cost of the 5 hours of housekeeping required to clean the 8 rooms of this 3 bedroom 2 full bath two story home. Staying two nights requires the same housekeeping effort as a longer stay so a hotel room may have been a better choice for this guest if they did not like the fee. I recommend contacting me during your stay if you have questions so I may address them at the time.
