Check out more photos and information and book online at www.TheGreenleafLodge.com!

The Greenleaf Lodge is the perfect getaway in North Lake Tahoe! Our cozy cabin in Carnelian Bay has 4 bedrooms and 2 baths and can sleep 8+ people*. Two downstairs bedrooms and one upstairs bedroom feature comfy queen sized beds and warm knotty pine paneling. The fourth bedroom upstairs features two queen beds and is the perfect place for kids to hang out with a separate TV, DVD player, and Wii game system. Both bathrooms have been recently updated and feature heated tile floors and instant hot water so you will never have to worry about running out of hot water, even with a large group. The kitchen has been recently renovated with granite counters, stainless appliances, and a breakfast bar.

Walk to the beach, hit the slopes, or enjoy all of the wonderful year-round activities, restaurants and attractions at the lake voted best in the USA!

Our excellent location provides easy access and glimpses of the lake from the large deck but still maintains a private feel well away from the road. We have parking spots for five+ cars which is very convenient for bigger groups. The Safeway in Kings Beach is only 6 minutes North and Tahoe City is 15 minutes South. The Old Post Office Cafe is just two doors down or you can take a 5 minute walk to Gar Woods Restaurant, famous for their delicious cocktails and beautiful lakeside location.

The Greenleaf is well outfitted with all the extras you need for a perfect vacation. Our 2 flat screen TV's have satellite and we have a variety of DVD’s for adults and kids to enjoy. WiFi is free for your wireless devices and cellular signal is good throughout the cabin. Our speaker system with iPod hook-up allows you to bring your favorite playlist with you. Check out our bookcase to find a good book or play one of the variety of family friendly games available.

*Up to 8 adults or 10 guests total including children.

The Greenleaf in Ski Season:

The Greenleaf has easy access from the road and is central to many of North Lake’s best ski resorts! Whether you want to head straight to the slopes, whip up a meal in the well-stocked kitchen, play board games with the family, or curl up with a good book by the river rock fireplace, the Greenleaf Lodge is the ideal place to stay.

Northstar – 15 min.

Homewood – 20 min.

Diamond Peak (at Incline) – 20 min.

Squaw – 23 min.

Alpine Meadows – 24 min.

Mt. Rose – 27 min.

Or grab your cross country skis, snowshoes, saucers, or sleds and head straight out the door to find your adventure.

Note: Always plan to have a four-wheel drive vehicle or carry chains as winter weather is various and our driveway is somewhat steep.

The Greenleaf in Warm Weather:

The Greenleaf has the perfect location for warm weather fun. Cross the road and walk 100 yards and you'll be at Patton beach, one of the few dog friendly beaches in North Lake Tahoe and a great spot to rent kayaks and paddle boards. You can grab a cup of coffee at the charming Waterman’s Landing Café, walk over to Magic Carpet Mini-Golf, drink Wet Woodies on the Gar Woods patio, or hop in your car for a short drive to check out the Stateline casinos, hit the golf course, go whitewater rafting, or hike or bike the Tahoe Rim Trail. Our spacious deck has peek views of the lake and is the perfect spot to enjoy a meal with family and friends or relax with a good book.

About Pippin or Laura

We are a family from California's Central Valley and we absolutely love Lake Tahoe. Laura has many fond memories of spending family vacations in North Lake as a child and she introduced Pippin (a native Oregonian) to the area when they met at UC Davis. We plan to enjoy the cabin with our family (and our dog!) for years to come. We hope our guests love The Greenleaf as much as we do.

Pippin or Laura purchased this cabin in 2012

Why Pippin or Laura chose Lake Tahoe North Shore

We love to ski in the winter and hit the beach in the summer and we couldn't believe our luck in finding a cabin that combines fantastic location with Old-Tahoe charm. This is a place where a family can really 'get away from it all' while still having access so many wonderful amenities within walking or short driving distance. The great location means you can enjoy everything North Lake Tahoe has to offer in every season.

What makes this cabin unique

The Greenleaf is so cozy and easy to stay in. We have tried to think of every amenity needed to make it feel like a home away from home and a perfect family getaway.

Guestbook comments from the owner

We loved the convenient location of the Greenleaf. Summer traffic at Tahoe can be a bear sometimes, and being within walking distance of Patton Beach with watercraft rentals, three different restaurants, miniature golf, a convenience store, and more, was awesome. We would definitely recommend the Greenleaf!

Comfortable home away from home!

  • 5 of 5

We just returned home from a great 3 day stay with our sons, daughter and son-in-law where we celebrated the upcoming birth of our first grandchild! Laura and Pippin have created a warm, welcoming home with room for all us comfortably (including our dog, Georgie), as well as all of the amenities anyone could ask for.

Thanks for a memorable stay! We will definitely recommend The Greenleaf to our family and friends.

Will stay again!

  • 5 of 5

This home is comfortable, well appointed, and in a great location! We spent many afternoons playing cards on the deck. There are close restaurants we enjoyed and we even drove to the casinos on the north shore and south shore. The owners were easy to get ahold of for any questions we had. We will definitely return!

Love this place!

  • 5 of 5

Just returned after our third summer staying at The Greenleaf. I want to be selfish and not write a review because I'd like to keep it a secret and all to myself!! This is an absolutely fabulous vacation home. Neat, clean - all the amenities you could possibly need and just an adorable, cozy place. Fantastic front deck (and hammock). The location is perfect - walking distance to Waterman's Landing, Gar Woods, CB's Pizza and a short drive to the great little beach in Tahoe Vista. There's no need to stay anywhere else - this place is a gem!

Perfect in every way!

  • 5 of 5

We recently stayed at the Greenleaf Lodge and we loved it. The lodge was very clean, cozy and it has plenty of rooms to move about. The kitchen was well stocked with homey decors. The fireplace was the center of attraction and we took full advantage of it. Location wise the lodge was perfectly situated, away from the main street and only a short walk to both private and public beaches (across the street). It is 3 miles north of Kings beach and a short drive to the nearest Safeway. We loved our times at the lodge and would definitely love to come back soon.

Great House to Rent

  • 4 of 5

It has been a year since we stayed here and i am slow in writing this review, but i am doing so now because a friend wanted a recommendation of where to stay in Lake Tahoe. We enjoyed our time here at the house and it suited our needs very much. The location and price were great for our large group. Problems we had were with Lake Tahoe and not the house. We drove to Nevada every day because the beaches are better. Staying in CA is a lot more affordable than Nevada so that would bring us back. Lake Tahoe is not dog friendly. Do not bring your dog. We loved the post office and the putt putt golf. It was fun to have the casinos minutes away. We loved Lake Tahoe and we would stay here again. More information on biking and hiking trails would be appreciated.
