Five Star Owner

  • 5 of 5

You won't find better service in a five star hotel.

When we arrived, we expected a one bed flat as advertised on the homeaway site. Instead, we found a studio. When we explained this to Christine, she immediately tried to help us find another accommodation. After discussing our options, we decided to stay for our full two week holiday.

The noise was also a problem, but because Christine wasn't able to meet us our first night, we hadn't been shown the double set of windows. Once this problem was solved, we settled in for a wonderful visit to Salzburg.

The flat is a short walk to almost everywhere we wanted to go. The Billa market is only 3-4 minutes away and has most things we needed.

Christine went out of her way to help us with so many things. She also advised us about upcoming events, gave us a useful bus guide, prinited off our tour tickets and boarding passes, brought a special pan we needed for our cooking, answered all our questions, and even called our taxi when it was time to leave.

The studio is simply furnished and has a basic kitchen, but we were able to cook almost all our meals there.

If you are planning a short stay, I think it would work for a family of 4, but there are only 2 chairs at the table. It would be a very close space for 4 adults.

The wifi connection is excellent; the flat stays a comfortable temperature without turning on the heat; there is ample storage space; there is an iron, clothes washer, and telly which mainly carried news programs in English.

The best recommendation we can give is that we're hoping to return next year. We loved Salzburg and found this flat a perfect place to stay.

Bravo, Christine!👏?😊?👏?

Cozy apartment in an old building

  • 3 of 5

Listing says there is a washing machine but we did not have one. You also need to hike through heavily smoke-filled hallways with a misplaced motion sensor (so it’s dark and you will trip) to get in/out of apartment.

Owner's Response: Dear Jakki, I am very sorry that you need a washing machine and didn´t know it that the machine was next door do your apartment. Also that you didn´t find the light switches in the hallways if it is too dark with the motion sensor. I live in the same building and so it would have been easy to solve your problems if you wouldn´t told me especially that I have asked you to contact me if you need help, but I have not heard anything. Smoking is strictly prohibited in the apartments, so I provided a table with chairs in the hallway in the 4. floor for smoker that they must not smoke outside the building. Special in the wintertime they appriciate this service very much. Nobody in the house complained so far. I hope you enjoyed the stay anyway and you have seen a lot of beautiful things in Salzburg

Great location!

  • 5 of 5

Clean, cute apartment on the outskirts of the busy old town. The location is perfect for sight seeing as everything is in walking distance. Christine made check in easy and even showed us a map of the nearby sights. We were happy to call this apartment home for a few days. Highly recommend!

Convenient and cozy accommodations in Salzburg

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I had a great stay at this comfortable apartment on the northern edge of Altstadt Salzburg. Conveniently located near bus lines, cafes, bakeries and groceries, the apartment is well appointed and a good size for a couple. Christine provided helpful information about public transportation and places to eat.

What a wonderful place to stay!

  • 5 of 5

This studio was just perfect for our family of 4! Very spacious, a nice change from hotel rooms. The location couldn't be better, in old town, everything we wanted to see/do was a comfortable walking distance. Fair warning that it can get noisy on a weekend night but Christine gave us a simple enough solution to that - to shut the windows! If you take the SOM bicycle tour (highly recommend), they make a stop right outside this apartment, to tell you about the Mozart statue there!

It was a pleasure to communicate with the owner throughout and she met and welcomed us and gave us all the inforation we needed (and her umbrella too!) Thank you Christine, our stay in Salzburg was truly memorable.

Owner's Response: Dear Sujata, I am happy that you and your family have enjoyed your holiday in Salzburg. Also that you have followed my advise concerning the noise during weekend. You can hardly avoid the noise through the narrow streets of the old town, but I am happy that you were not disturbed by it. Thank you once more for coming and staying in my apartment and I wish you and your family all the best. Christine

Tidy well appointed apartment

  • 5 of 5

You can walk along the river by just crossing the street from this tidy well supplied apartment. A short walk into all of the tourist sites as well as the Mirabell gardens. Christine is very helpful in explaining transit and recommending places to eat away from tourists, especially the Augustiner beer garden. There were coffee and tea so you could get some refreshment immediately. Although there was no elevator the steps were easy to manage to the first floor apartment. The bus stop for transit to and from the train station is also a short distance. The only drawback is the noise from the bar below, but the heavy windows can muffle the sound if you close them.

Owner's Response: Dear Linda and Tim, thank you very much for your review and I am happy that you have enjoyed your stay in Salzburg. As I live in the same building, I know and informed you that on Friday and Saturday evening, special when the weather is nice it can be noisy. But as you wrote I have heavy windows in the apartments to avoid most of the noise. Thank you for coming and staying in my apartment, Christine
