About Owner/Manager

Anthonie and I have recently moved here after living in the Vancouver area for over 35 years. We have spent many summers camping with our 9 children and numerous grandchildren and enjoy the various activities offered in the Okanagan Valley. The climate is hard to beat, especially in the summer. For the past 15 years we have travelled to Kelowna for the Senior Boys Highschool Provincial Volleyball Championships hosted by UBCO and always considered this an area we would love to move to. Of course, having some of our children living here was also a great drawing card!

Why Owner/Manager chose Kelowna

We were looking for a property that was in a quiet neigborhood but near all amenities. This property is nestled on the Okanagan Golf Club and is a great get-a-way for some rest and relaxation. Golf at your front door for you avid golfers!

What makes this house unique

We love the open feeling of the home and the view of the golf course and mountains. Watching the seasons change has been spectacular. You are able to walk out the door and stroll down the quiet neighborhood or take the trail along the back of the ridge that leads you to the University. You can also walk to the Golf Course and stop at the Bogata Cafe for a delicious lunch.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Very goob BB

  • 5 of 5

Quail Ridge is a very good and save place where to stay. The hosts are very kind and well organise. The place is spacius, clean and very confortable. The room is ok with a big privat bathroom. The patios are very nice with tables and chairs so you could look at the golf court when you eat outside. The breakfasts were very good. Be aware that you are at 15 to 20 minutes by car to the center city. The other guests were interesting.

A Real Gem

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at Quail Ridge bed and breakfast on a recent weekend visit to Kelowna. The accommodations were perfect for our needs. The entire lower level of the Tuscan style home is dedicated to B&B guests, with a separate entrance, three bedrooms (2 with large ensuite bathrooms attached and locks on the bedroom doors for privacy) and a common area with comfortable couch, chairs, TV, dining table and kitchenette. Outside is a patio table overlooking the front yard and golf course across the street. We really enjoyed the convenience of a social space to visit with my brother and sister-in-law who also stayed here.

The space is exceptionally clean and well appointed. Breakfasts are served upstairs in the family home area and are a cut above expectations. Homemade bread, jams, fruit kabobs, cereal and scrambled eggs with ham and croissant or waffle-fried hash browns and toast—delicious and filling! Best of all was the friendly and cheerful hostess, Harmina, who chatted with us and served us so graciously.

This place is a real gem and will certainly be my first call the next time we are looking for a place to stay in the Kelowna area. (We even saw a family of Quail on the side yard steps!)

Exceptional B&B

  • 5 of 5

We stayed four nights at this B&B and couldn't have been more pleased. Anthonie and Harmina were terrific hosts, frequently checking to see if everything was to our satisfaction. The suites are spacious and the beds are very comfortable. Cleanliness is a priority for our hosts and we could find no fault in any aspect of our stay. The breakfasts and conversations were equally inspiring. Weather permitting, breakfast on the deck is a real treat, with great views overlooking the golf course. The B&B is very easy to find and only 5 minutes from the airport, but with no airport noise. You know you have had a great stay when you not only enjoy the premises, but feel that you have found new friends, and that is how we felt when we said goodbye to Anthonie and Harmina. We would definitely come back, and recommend to all!

Just what we were after

  • 5 of 5

We only stayed one night with Tony and Hernia and what a relief that there are still some people offering one night accommodation!

They were delightful hosts that we felt we had known all our lives!

Their home is big and lovely and overlooks the golf course. Our room and ensuite were very generous in size and a lovely comfortable bed. Tony cooked breakfast which was delicious and this is when we had a chance to get to know our hosts.

I am very happy to recommend them to anybody wanting a peaceful and comfortable stay, but you do need to have a car and the closest eateries are about 10 to 15 minutes drive away, however it is very handy to the airport.

FANTASTIC STAY AT QUAIL RIDGE B. & B.

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at this lovely B. & B. for 2 nights - 1 - enroute to the Rockies and again for 1 night on our return to the coast. We were traveling with relatives from Australia and we all really enjoyed our stay. Hosts, Harmina and Tony were both gracious and welcoming. Rooms were very comfortable for a good night's rest after lots of traveling; breakfasts were delicious and we enjoyed our conversations with hosts and other guests.

Highly Recommended!
