Perfect for large groups and wedding parties, this home has central A/C (not common in Portland!), plenty of parking on two streets as well as two off-street parking spaces and you can walk 1/2 block to Starbucks and one block to the grocery!
Opening the door to this lovely home of the Arts and Crafts style you are greeted by an open floor plan and an expansive 13x27-foot living room with cove moldings, picture rails, a hardwood floor, a wood-burning fireplace, two separate living areas and plenty of windows for the natural sunlight. Move under the archway to the formal dining room with original pink lighting, a Duncan Phyfe dinette set, an antique sideboard with place settings for 50 and a large picture window with fragrant crimson Rhododendrons in summer. To seat 10 or more in the dining room/living room just use the three extra folding tables which seat an additional 12. One hosted event for up to 50 guests is allowed during your rental period. There is plenty of free on street parking on two streets. The parking and smoking policies must be followed. The cook's kitchen is fully equipped with a gas range, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, toaster oven, Kitchen Aid mixer, sharp knives, lots of nice dishes and spices. The home has original charm and character with many windows typical of homes of the early 20th century. The home also has central air for maximum comfort in summer.

I purchased this property because the Piedmont neighborhood was up-and-coming in 2003. Now it is a vibrant neighborhood, close to downtown and many amenities. It is within walking distance of the Alberta Arts District, the Historic Mississippi Avenue district and the North Williams Corridor. This is a quiet residential neighborhood, great for walking and bicycling and close to the Peninsula Park Rose Garden.

We could each have a bedroom for privacy with plenty of together time in the living room and dining room. We enjoyed having the games and were amazed at how many amenities were provided. We really enjoyed our stay here. The house is older, but it held up to our 6 kids under 12. Kitchen was well stocked for A LOT of people. Safeway was walking distance, which was super convenient, but the location of the house was still very quiet. I went running several times while staying there and felt perfectly safe. Its an older neighborhood, but turned out to be super close to everything and felt perfectly safe.
Bed's were comfy and house was spacious.
Gary the landlord was superb. Gave some great recommendations for things to do (OMSI & Multnomah Falls FTW!) and was very responsive if we had issues.
Only quirk I didn't like was that the laundry was located downstairs. We didn't end up using it because it felt weird to go into Gary's space.
I would not hesitate to stay here again. Great for large groups.
The house was great! We had a great time staying there. The accommodations the place had was nice clean and neat. Gary met us at the house and was helpful to us in finding places to go and where to go eat. The location was close to everything where we wanted to go and with the house being on the corner it was easy to spot (lyft, uber, etc.) It was my first time booking an VRBO and they made it very easy for me. We stayed here for three days over the Labor Day weekend and everything was great. Gary was a great host, and the house is very well stocked with quality kitchen items and bath towels. It's nice too that a lot of miscellaneous necessities are in the house (from condiments to umbrellas). Location is great and was perfect for our wedding festivities all within a mile of the house. We really enjoyed our stay at P21. The house was very well stocked and very clean. We were a group of 10 and there was plenty of room for everyone to spread out. With five small children and a teenager we didn't feel cramped at all. There is an endless supply of dishes and eating utensils so we didn't feel a need to run the dishwasher every night. We especially enjoyed the AC through out the house. As it got up to 100 degrees while we were there it was nice to come home to a cool house. It is very close to downtown and within walking distance to so many conveniences. We will definitely stay again and would recommend this place to any large group. Gary the owner was a very gracious host.
