We really enjoyed the location & quietude of this rental. The hot tub was an added bonus. We enjoyed taking our dog on walks on the great trails.
This home is adequate and fine for just a simple stay, particularly with dogs and kids. The house has no real charm so not great if you want the mountain lodge/cabin getaway type feeling. The house was pretty clean although the carpet should be removed and replaced with all hard flooring. There were a few things missing, I wish there had been a teapot for boiling water for tea, there were no kitchen towels, there was not any laundry detergent even though a request is made to start laundry (although is optional), there were several light bulbs that didn't work, including the main kitchen light, the kitchen table was left a bit dirty, there was a cleaning cloth left laying in the living room, there was a sock left next to the washer/dryer, and the description says gas fireplace but the actual directions involve putting wood on the fire so it is a little misleading but there was plenty of wood available. There are no extra's in the kitchen as far as pantry basics...I have rented homes and cabins many times and there is usually some spices and oils available but this one had some salt and pepper and that was it...I wish I had known that ahead of time so I could bring a few things from home. But the kitchen had plenty of dishes, glasses, pots and pans, and silverware...it does desperately need some spatulas though. And it would be super awesome to have a larger television in the living room...it was pretty small for the room size and so made movie watching at night was not as great. The mattresses are very hard (at least the downstairs queen and the twins were, didn't get a report on the upstairs queen) and on a snowy weekend it sure would be nice to have a fluffy comforter instead of the thin quilts and thin blankets. Also a coat rack would be great since there is no coat closet and the hall hooks are not very convenient for coming in the front or back doors. It was a last minute trip and so this worked fine but a few upgrades would do wonders for this property.
This place was adequate but has no particular charm. Good for pets but a huge improvement would be to get rid of the carpet and update the decor to a more cabin like feel.
There is a lot of room out the back of this property for playing in the snow. The living room and kitchen easily accommodated our family of 5
This house is in a quiet area which was wonderful for relaxing with the family. Close enough to Bend and the lakes. Something for everyone to do.
