The wall to wall windows overlooking the West Grand Traverse Bay and the open layout of this home had us sold immediately!
Private wooded lots surround this vacation home for an away from it all feel! Relax on the deck swing, in the hot tub, sauna or on the beach......
This property is exquisite! The house was emaculate and very user friendly. Instructions on how to use the hot tub, sauna and appliances were very clear and easy to follow. We were a party of 12 and slept very comfortably. In fact, I think 14 would still be comfortable sleeping here! There was enough space to accommodate everyone. The new queen bed in the master bedroom was sooo comfortable! We forgot a few things including water shoes, toothbrushes, a sewing kit and laundry detergent....but she provided all of that and a bottle of wine and chocolates! We were impressed at how accurately she described the home and sleeping accommodations on vrbo. It took all the anxiety out of vacationing. The pictures on the website also provide you with a virtual tour of the home. Her attention to detail and communication skills were top notch. Prior to confirming our reservation, she contacted us to review all the details of the sleeping arrangements and rental policies. All rules and directions were clearly written, discussed and agreed upon. Upon arrival, the home not only met but exceeded our expectations! Sitting on the deck eating lunch fresh off the gas grill was wonderful! Had to say we LOVED the outdoor hot shower! We had a great time and would recommend this home to anyone looking for a great escape . Can't wait to reserve our vacation here next summer!
2 families recently converged on this beautiful property for a much needed respite from our busy lives and this was the perfect place to unwind. The house was spacious and easily accommodated 8 people. It was clean, well equipped and everything worked! We didn't need to bring much because the owners already provided a lot (bikes, kayaks, floats, etc). They also gave detailed housekeeping rules which were helpful. We had our own private beach and dock and we swam, kayaked and sunbathed without worrying about crowds. We had privacy and yet the property was a few minutes drive from the cute Suttons Bay downtown area and about 15 minutes from Traverse City. There's a good variety of restaurants, shops, wineries and activities nearby. We had great fun climbing the Sleeping Bear dunes! In the end, this is a place where you can choose to do a little or a lot or somewhere in between. We had an incredible time here. We've stayed in a number of rental properties over the years, both domestic and international, and this was undoubtedly one of the best! We can't wait to come back!
I could not have been more pleased with our time at this Sutton's Bay home! It was exactly what we were looking for and more! The home easily slept the nine of us! My sister has a baby and there was a pack and play and a gate kept inside one of the rooms. The owners keep shampoo and soap in the showers and laundry detergent by the washer and dryer. They basically make it easy for you to come up, unpack and immediately start enjoying the lake. They keep bikes in the garage, kayaks and canoes on the beach and enough life jackets in a variety of sizes to meet our needs. The hot tub is awesome and so is the house! We were thrilled with the property. So much so that my sister cried when we left! Thank you Hanan for allowing us to use your home!!!
We stayed for a little over a week and enjoyed our time here. The house is great for families as it has everything from sand toys, pack and play and all of the basic kitchen essentials (including a grill.). The property is set a bit above the water with a stairway leading down to beac/dock/water. This was convenient because we put a baby gate on the stairway to worry a little less with small children. There is a dock and perfect little beach with breakwater for small children to play. They also have a nice hot tub with a bit of a lake view. The owner is very friendly and invested in her guests satisfaction with the experience.
First of all, the owner did an excellent job describing the property and everything that was included. They were very easy to get a hold of and went out of their way to make sure we had an excellent experience! The view was spectacular and the location was superb. Close to Traverse City, yet far enough to feel secluded in the outdoors! This property easily slept 10 guys comfortably. Overall, this was an amazing experience from beginning to end! I hope to rent this property again soon!
Very nice home with lots of ammenities! The only thing that would have made it better would be some updates to the home. They aren't necessary at all- especially for families and what not. Everything worked well and was in excellent condition- just left some to be desired as far as the interior design. Outside and outdoors were spectacular and the owner is very reachable and caring. Extra care is taken to make sure renters have everything they want/need. Thanks again! We would definitely come back!
Close to both downtown Suttons Bay (about 3 miles) and Traverse City (about 12 miles). Easy access to Traverse City and M22, but away from the crowds and noise. All water sports welcome on this Bay! It has a great hard sand bottom, crystal clear and clean water, wonderful for kayaking, boating, swimming and tubing. Only a few miles to the DNR boat ramp. West Bay is part of Lake Michigan and has cleaner water, bigger waves and sandier beaches. Petoskey Stones have waited millions of years for you to come find them. Close to two golf courses, 12 vineyards (which offer free wine tasting) and the Leelanau Sands Casino!
