About Grace Shigematsu

We are Southern Californians who enjoy skiing and golfing. Our 3 adult children grew up skiing and snowboarding on the slopes of Mammoth Mountain in the High Sierras. We are now empty nesters and are relishing the time we can spend with family and friends on mountain and golf resorts.

Grace Shigematsu purchased this house in 2012

Why Grace Shigematsu chose Park City area

The Promontory Club is located 35 minutes from SLC Airport and a quick 10 minutes from Park City and Kimball Junction. Deer Valley, Park City and the Canyons resorts offer summer and winter activities. We fell in love with the high desert scenery, all the amenities that Promontory has to offer and the peacefulness of the community.

What makes this house unique

After owning a Trapper's Cabin for about 15 months, we discovered that our family and friends loved coming up with us so much that we needed a bigger place. Since we loved the proximity of our cabin to the hub of the club, we wanted our next home to also be within walking distance. This larger cabin affords us that luxury along with being able to accommodate more people.

Guestbook comments from the owner

We loved Thanksgiving at your home. We made such wonderful memories; enjoying the beautiful snow and the warmth of your cabin. Hope you're enjoying a good start to the New Year.

Beautiful House

  • 5 of 5

This is the second time I've stayed at this same house and it was every bit as good the second time around. We played golf every day at the two gorgeous golf courses close by. And Park City restaurants and bars were just minutes away. The house itself is large, clean and has everything you need. Super comfy!!! Can't wait to come back!

Another fantastic vacation golf weekend!!!

  • 5 of 5

This was my second trip to this amazing locale. I fell in love with the views all over again. The golf experience was spectacular! The courses were pristine and the staff catered to our every need. The local club house was a great way to wind down after a round of golf - whether choosing to bowl a couple of games at the indoor lanes, or playing a pickup game of basketball on the courts. Or, just relaxing with a refreshing beverage on the balcony watching the most amazing sunsets that Utah can provide! The Park City nightlife was a short cab ride away to Main Street. I can't wait to return next year.

Awesome Place to Spend a Weekend!

  • 5 of 5

We came out for a friend's ski weekend in mid March. It was a great place for a weekend! We stayed for 3 nights and every night was amazing. The place is extremely warm and welcoming. It slept quite a few people and everything was easily accessible while still being secluded enough to feel like we were at a mountain retreat.

The owners were extremely accommodating and communicative. The property was easy to find and all instructions with the house were fairly straightforward.

I would recommend this property to anyone looking for a great place for a getaway.

Promontory Vacation

  • 5 of 5

We came out for skiing and Sundance with the added benefit of staying at this wonderful Cabin. It is made for a large family and friends who can access the Ranch club easily. It is a great Winter escape and I am certain even better in the summer. Everything went to plan. You will need a car as most everything is 20 to 25 minutes away. We knew the area well so have a plan for things you would like to do. You can just stay on the property with all the amazing amenities. Highly recommend.

Outstanding place!

  • 5 of 5

I stayed at this wonderful place with a small group of friends for a golf weekend this summer. I didn't organize the trip so I didn't know what to expect. When you walk in the place it definitely has a "WOW" factor on first impression. Very spacious and well decorated. Nothing we wanted was missing. VERY comfortable place to stay and close to several great golf courses. (Skiing also seemed very close... maybe this winter?!?!) Park City is also a very welcoming and fun town. I had been once before, but it was for the film festival and the place was a bit hectic and overrun. This time, however, I was able to really appreciate the town for what it is 99 percent of the year -- and it didn't disappoint. Can't wait to come back and HOPEFULLY stay in this same great house!

This updated home is within walking distance to the driving range, Ranch Clubhouse, Pete Dye Golf Clubhouse and 'The Shed' Clubhouse. The gas fire pit is the focal point of the patio where you can relax with friends and family. And with 2 large family rooms, there's lots of room to spread out. Also, record your favorite show or a 'can't miss' sporting event on the main level DVR while you're out on the slopes or on the golf course to watch it later.
